Ive had more than a few Mustang 5.0s, all with the usual bolt ons i.e short throw, gears, CAI, headers, X pipe, Flowmaster exhaust, dual friction clutch, etc etc., I LOVE the 302 5.0 motor, and very few cars can come close to the intoxicating sound of a 5.0 with an off road X pipe and 2.5inch Flowmaster straight pipes out the ass. When tached dead set at 3k in 2nd or 3rd gear on a cool October night, floor heater on, tinted windows 3/4 way down, Cypress Hills Temple Of Boom bumping just loud enough to hear, but lower than the real soundtrack that is the 5.0. What im getting at however is that 5.0s are great and have endless potential, but unless you start changing the upper and lower intake and cams etc, they arent that fast. They feel fast due to the torque. But a 5.0 against a GXP, the 5.0 would probably get the jump at GO and pull hard to 3rd, but the GXP would be biting at the back and closing in and pass by top of 3rd into 4th imo
I did not read that the Mustang Has 460 horse power Obviously it's going to Destroy a 260 horse power car However if we are talking Older Mustangs with 300 summod horsepower the Solstice GXP would wipe it
see i’ve record a 5.0 in my base model sky but the 5.0 was stock with a muffler delete and we did a dig and and a 30 roll I stuck by in the beginning but they pulled away I also raced a eco boost and it was close maybe one length on a quarter mile
NOT a Redline or GXP......... those were just base models. IF they were the turbo versions, they would have smoked your car easily. Nice try on your video though......trying to make your V8 look cool against 4 cylinders !
Claiming those kappas are not the performance 2.0T LNFs is idiotic. @johnhenryholliday that comment was beyond stupid, too cringe even for a troll. I can obviously see the NON single exhaust and brake ducts needed for all the turbo models. The red GXP even moved with momentum of anything but the base factory variant. The only thing I couldn't notice was the significance of the audible boost noises I'm used to hearing. I have a modded Kappa with factory LNF, it's mildly modded FBO. My Kappa moves similar to this 5.0 vs basically stock GXPs and Redlines. So I can confirm this ass whooping was real.

as a solstice owner, thats not muffler delete, their actually pretty loud stock, unless he said muffler delete, also they come stock blow off valve,

Um no my guy, the Redline is only 260 horsepower, same as the new edge mustang gt. A modern mustang gt has well over 400
@@Beer_Me 460hp crank for the 2020, mine dyno'd at 402.4whp translating to 479.8 crank hp.
