Makes their job a crap ton easier if criminals are too afraid of homeowners to break into houses. If everyone knows everyone's packing, no one's drawing.
Polk County Sherrif is on the level. I remember he said something like (paraphrasing) "Anyone thinking of rioting (around the time Saint Floyd died) in polk country, trying to harass and break into people's homes, you'll be blown back down the steps." What a boss. If every Sheriff in the US had this attitude, there would be a lot less law abiding victims and more repeat felons victims. The way it should be.
I love this sheriff. We ARE our own first responders. When an (armed) intruder is breaking into your home, the only help that will arrive in time is yourself!
His entire attitude towards criminals being shot by homeowners is exactly the right stance to take. That tells criminals if they enter homes they are literally risking their lives and that will cut crime way down in his county especially residential breaking and entering. Bravo sheriff!!!

@@bokc_nonpopularsalt1011 No knock warrants are touching the very fine line toward being unconstitutional already, not to mention dangerous. In my opinion if police were to serve a no knock warrant without announcing themselves and the homeowner shot thinking they were intruders, it would be pretty easy to prove without reasonable doubt that he was simply defending himself and not attacking police intentionally. That would be if he survived, which is unlikely.
@@EnthalpyAndEntropy I mean, you can say that but it really just isn't true. The state tells us what isn't isn't allowed all the time and that's including with defensive shootings. An honest professional always speaks the truth. In this case, the Sheriff is correct and you as well, Sir. No one is going to be there in the time of need. Assistance comes after the incident.
Yup. Speaking as a retired police officer we busted our collective butts on emergency calls but traffic, cross beat dispatching and staffing levels (defund the police?) all take their toll on response times. Lights & sirens help, but more than often panic drivers into getting in the way of responding officers. The truth of “When seconds count the police are minutes away” was never more evident.

The prison system also needs some work. As pointed out, the guy's been doing this since he was 13, if he was ever going to change, he's had plenty of times and plenty of chances to do so. Instead, he kept being released with no on breathing down on his neck like there should've been, though after the 3rd or 4th conviction, they should've just thrown away the key. Though if taxpayers' money is a concern, then there's a simple solution: Make the inmates work. Don't let their prison timer begin until after they pay off the fines and reparations, force them to pay back the money in labor that our taxes are being used for to house and feed them. If they caused 10k in property damage, another 30k in medical expenses (before insurance), and have a 50k fine, lock them up, but don't start their 40 year sentence until after they work off their debts and pay back the costs of their food and other expenses. It's only fair.
Unfortunately California is a sanctuary state for felons and illegal aliens...the democrats in charge there do their best to keep guns out of your homes.
“We prefer that you do, actually”. God Bless this Sheriff and Sheriff Grady. I love this Sheriff’s simple, cold statistical analysis regarding the recidivism rate of dead people. Deep.
Problem is when cops get absurd with no knock raids over petty shit or far to little information, they increase the odds of hitting wrong homes. And this will lead to innocent deaths.
We need a LOT more sheriffs like this! Imagine how many of our tax dollars are spent to keep these criminals, just so they can be released to do it again.
It's big money for the justice system judges will not get paid that $200,000 a year if they don't have people out there doing crying they don't have people out there doing crime criminals doing crime is organized crime and Justice so they keep the big money coming to have the big home to fancy cars without crime they would not have the big money to buy their expensive cars and homes
Hey, I live in Santa Rosa County! He is absolutely right, you break in a house in this county and you are most likely going to save tax payers some money.
I lived in Australia from 89-93 and there was a high profile case where a armed burglar broke into a house and proceeded to assault a child, the father shot and killed the offender and the justice system in Australia wanted him to go to prison for 20 years for defending himself and his family. Their system is extremely broken there. Thankfully we have the second Amendment here in the USA, for now…
What's frightening (and frankly, *inexcusable* ) is that self-serving, uber-'woke,' Democrat politicians and district attorneys are _desperately_ trying to replicate Australia's "extremely broken" excuse for a criminal justice system here in the U.S., particularly in "blue" states like California and Massachusetts.
The US Government will have to risk an armed civil war along with mass mutiny by their own military in order to take away our guns like the Australians and British did.
The system isn't broken in Australia. It works exactly as it's intended to work. Those poor people are under complete despotism. They brought it on themselves though by handing in their firearms. Now they get sent to concentration camps for the invisible boogyman and forced to take their children to sports stadiums to be hit with a bio-weapon.
What so few outside of Florida understand is that this Sheriff is merely telling the public, in layman's terms, what Florida law says about the use of lethal force. Without going into too much detail, the law here in Florida states that merely by entering an occupied home, apartment, domicile, tent or even automobile unlawfully and by force the legal occupant is automatically assumed under the law to have a justified, reasonable fear for their life and are rendered immune from both criminal and/or civil liability for the use of force against the unlawful intruder. Now, the use of force will still be investigated, but as long as everything happened the way you the legal occupant said it did, no charges will be filed, no civil suit can be pursued by the perp or his survivors. You can still be held liable for wild rounds fired, though; so accuracy still counts.
Yes that’s great but FYI, DeSantis, like Abbot, is World Economic Forum. It’s really his wife that’s the “official” “member”, but he holds little events for them there in your state all the time. Never trust people entangled with the WEF.
Now THAT’S how it’s supposed to be. Encourage and protect law abiding citizens and show these coward ass criminals that we don’t have any love for them and they will lose their lives if they attempt to victimize people. This was a powerful message and I respect the hell out of that man. 👏🏾👏🏾
All law enforcement needs to get trained and counseled by this sheriff . This is exactly how one upholds the constitution. Thank you for being one of the good guys sir sheriff 👍🏻
Many years ago I heard the story of a business owner who shot and killed an intruder in his home. No charges were filed and as the story went the Sheriff bought the man a box of ammo .357 I believe. As years passed I happened to stop by that man's business and struck up a conversation, he verified the story. Life in a small rural county.
I can’t believe the Sheriff actually said it publicly… That was awesome! We have been erroneously programmed to believe that the job of law enforcement is to “protect and serve”. This feels warm and fuzzy but, law enforcement is only authorized to enforce the law, which means that law enforcement has no real authority to do much of anything until someone violates a law. Then, they can apprehend the alleged violator and bring them to trial. So, simply put, only AFTER the bad guy kills you and your family, does law enforcement have the Constitution authority to do its job. The only one who can protect you, your family, and your property is you… I am, and you are the Militia.
If you have children never signed the zero tolerance policy for them to enter School. This is signing away your kids is right to self-defense and write to a trial. This is part of that conditioning
As an American that appreciates the Constitution, *I support this message!* The difference between life and death may only be seconds and the police are at least 7 minutes away... (defunded police may not show up at all).
If you're unable to call the police, response time will be even longer. Happened to me. Guy knocked on my door at 3am, saying his car had broken down. We went on for half an hour, as I offered various options and he made excuses to come in. And, as it went on, his anger escalated. Finally, he balled up his fists, demanded to be let in, and reached for the doorknob. That's when I showed him the AR15. His attitude changed immediately, saying he'd just walk. Only then, as he walked away, was I able to call the police. They found him on the street corner. He had an out-of-state warrant - good since wasn't much the cops could do otherwise.

My only concern here is the over use of no knocks, causing confusing conflicts that end in death and injury. I'm wondering on his mindset on that. To many raids leads to mistakes. And unfortunately cops are not as understanding of citizens in this as they want us to be. Been a few cases, one about two years ago, cops hit a wrong house and the first cop in got sent to glory. The police went after the home owner for murder 1, despite them creating the confusion in the first place. They got mad when he won. A cop thinking like this and excessive use of raids is incompatible. And I don't this it is the traditional home defense rights that is at fault for that.
@@icecold9511 they need to get rid of no knocks and announce themselves it’s that simple. Be trained and ready to face a head on threat or an evading threat. It’s their Jobs not the homeowners.
@@emjae7387 There is plenty of alternative methods. The rise of no knock raids is mostly due to small departments getting a swat team to feel like real players. They also have atrocious training.
Apparently not because if someone has been found guiltily of a domestic incident or had a firearm on them for protection with alcohol in their system, they are deemed a felon. And then stripped of their rights. This is EXACTLY why as veteran myself, I have no problem when a situation goes sideways, if an LEO ends up downed. Until the 2A can’t be undermined by corrupt LEOs or unconstitutional federal state local laws that are enforced; send it. Even people who served time in jail for REAL crime. Ie were aware of their action and caused detriment like theft or whatever. The moment they have served their sentence in jail and released, their full rights need restored. To anyone thinking politically, let be a reminder most Veterans ending up in jail because their reality comes from the Constitution, not some local law passed by corrupt mayor; they vote Republican more often then not. So as a veteran, If I ever knew a veteran that was committed of a felony, and they carried a firearm, I wouldn’t say shit. I’ve realized how incredibly easy it is to label someone that now in days. And even so, they have the Natural Law right to self protection.
This would be less of an issue if our criminal justice system was concerned with *keeping dangerous/violent criminals behind bars* rather than maintaining & wielding political power by any means necessary.
Indeed, the perp was a “frequent flyer” as the sheriff said. His wings should have been permanently clipped a long time ago by the judicial system. But alas that doesn’t happen much these days.

At 4:30 on a Sunday morning a young woman called 911 and reported that she believed someone was trying to break into her apartment and it was just her and her 2 children ages 2 and 4. She had a no contact order with her ex-husband and believed it might have been him. I was the responding deputy and the only one on duty in a rural county. It took me 20 minutes at 130 mph to get to her because I happened to be on the other side of the county. It out to be her cat knocked a large metal candle holder into her kitchen window and broke it. The point here is that when seconds count, the cops are minutes away and you may need to protect yourself until we get there.
Right. Cops are typically there to pick up the pieces and hope those pieces lead to clues on who did the crime. In a perfect scenario, the pieces left to be scraped up are parts of the criminal due to a would-be victim defending themselves, their family, and property with every fiber of their being
Yesterday I asked a local cop a question about making your own pew and carrying it concealed without any "code numbers" on it in a state with Constitutional Carry. He claimed it wasn't legal to make your own at all. The vast majority of cops out there have no clue what the laws really are beyond traffic tickets.
Well, yeah. Cops aren't lawyers, yet they exist to enforce the laws, and are largely immune from consequences even if they get it all horribly wrong. As if even a big brained lawyer could know every in and out of just the criminal code, let alone every aspect of every other federal and state law that ties into it. Can't imagine why you'd expect an insightful answer, honestly.
It’s funny that you mention that, my grandfather was a cop, wasn’t a good one either, barely even knew traffic laws himself or much of any of the laws. But one thing he did support was the use of fire arms in self defense situations, hell as a kid he put me through self defense training and even made me memorize certain guns, put me through time trials on taking a Glock 9 and several other hand guns like the S&W SD 40, S&W 1911, sub compact sig 45 which I still have and is ready and loaded for home defense use, etc. and several rifles like the AK-47, the AR-15, S&W M&P15, etc. apart and back together. I don’t talk to the dude anymore because he’s a massive prick always has been to the family, but I will always appreciate his teachings about fire arms and fire arm safety! Without that I’d probably be on the wrong side of this argument and ignorant to the importance of self defense as several of the schools that I went too never talked about it and if they did they were completely against the use of fire arms or fire arms being in the hands of the people minus a select few of my teachers who supported the second amendment which was a very small amount.
A firearm, self-reliance, training and tactics are priceless tools that everyone can use! Be the militia. Be hard to kill. Be the hardened target that criminals avoid. It all comes down to your willingness to believe in yourself and your drive to better yourself.

It’s pretty funny how divided the left actually is amongst itself when you start talking to them. Every single sheriffs department NEEDS this exact kind of person in charge of their administrations.
A home invasion leading to a death seems almost certain to result in a long trial, both criminal and/or civil. Just because a local Sherriff does not want to charge you doesn't mean the State DA won't.
You're kidding yourself if you think the way things go in your garbage state/county are the same here. They're not. If it's blatant that a home invader, who had invaded numerous houses WHILE the police were actively in pursuit, after a criminal with a rap sheet like this douche had gets shot when in one of those numerous houses, after days of reports of the same in the area, our police wouldn't investigate any further into his death unless a statement or evidence found in his wake or on his person gave them reason to suspect otherwise. If you recall, it took effort to get the case on trayvon Martin's shooting to get a second glance. We don't care about the rights of criminals in Florida, if you die while perpetrating a crime like this, we generally say "good riddance to bad rubbish" and move on. We have the best stand your ground laws in the US: if you're being aggressive to me at a gas station and I shoot you dead then and there, and a cursory investigation involving witnesses and cctv shows that you were acting in a way that could reasonably be taken as threatening, and they don't have any statements from witnesses or footage showing otherwise, or evidence recovered from your corpse, that's going to be the end of the investigation into your death. The cops have better things to do with their time than waste it on an obvious scumbag.
Its what my dad would always tell me about being in a life threatening situation and having to rely on the police showing up for protection: "When seconds matter, the police are only minutes away." It is so important to have the best and proper protection to give you the upper hand when it comes to protecting your life, and like Colion perfectly stated, you are your first responder.

When the second amendment was written, there was no such thing as a police department. Every city, every town, had their own local militia which would stand up in times of war or be called upon by the locals to catch criminals or fight off attackers. The towns and cities were self-reliant and it was expected that every able-bodied man would know how to shoot and use a gun so they could defend not only themselves but their community. The first police force wasn't created until 60 years later, and even then only in Boston. It took almost a century before America had anything like what we have today. So the 2nd amendment was not intended for the Police. It was intended for every person who wanted to defend their home, their community, their country. This guy has it right. Completely. We can't rely on the Police, they won't ever be there fast enough. Instead, we need to be ready to do it ourselves, if needed. Home invasions often lead to injury or death for the homeowner. I hate to disagree with you, but guards have been around for millenniums before America was built. Sure they weren’t called the police, but they did have guards that would ensure that a bread thief was prosecuted. The second amendment was not intended to police ourselves, it was intended to police the government. The founding fathers knew that the only thing that would stop a tyrannical government was to give people the power. They took a huge risk, in fact many of the founding fathers did not want to give people that much power. James Madison wrote what was said during the formation of the constitution and many of the founding fathers called the average citizen “mob, uneducated, not worthy of decisions” its incredible what the majority of the founding fathers thought of us, but just a handful wanted to try to give people the power

Fuckin Australia
The system isn't broken in Australia. It works exactly as it's intended to work. Those poor people are under complete despotism. They brought it on themselves though by handing in their firearms. Now they get sent to concentration camps for the invisible boogyman and forced to take their children to sports stadiums to be hit with a bio-weapon.
We will always have the 2nd Amendment. Changing it requires the approval of 75% of state legislatures and 75% of both houses of Congress.
Now, that's a sheriff! All law enforcement should follow his example.

It took me 20 minutes at 130 mph to get to her because I happened to be on the other side of the county. It out to be her cat knocked a large metal candle holder into her kitchen window and broke it. The point here is that when seconds count, the cops are minutes away and you may need to protect yourself until we get there.

Even if you were within easy reach, cops are often the bad guy themselves. My guns are for shooting cops the same as anyone else who intends me harm.
Right. Cops are typically there to pick up the pieces and hope those pieces lead to clues on who did the crime. In a perfect scenario, the pieces left to be scraped up are parts of the criminal due to a would-be victim defending themselves, their family, and property with every fiber of their being

"If you kill them then there is a 0% chance of them reoffending" I love this mater of fact!!!
That Sheriff is my kind of guy! We need more people like him in this country right now!
Every city and town in every state should have a sheriff to stand behind you like this one.
Cudos to you sheriff
A firearm, self-reliance, training and tactics are priceless tools that everyone can use! Be the militia. Be hard to kill. Be the hardened target that criminals avoid. It all comes down to your willingness to believe in yourself and your drive to better yourself.
*Definitely* need a LOT more Sheriffs (not to mention, *_politicians_* ) like Bob Johnson in this country, _especially_ in uber-'woke,' "blue" states like California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, etc. Molon Labe, 'progressives'...
Sheriff's are in fact...Politicians
I thought for sure when I saw the title of this, that it was going to be Sherriff Grady Judd of Polk County Florida who said this, cuz he's pro citizen self defense, protection, and carry... Good to know other Sheriff's are coming out with this type of support...
@@bmob3248 Wrong not all of them are. This particular sheriff was interviewed by a left-wing outlet I believe it was MSNBC or CNN and they asked him about his comments he said he is a sheriff not a politician. I admire and respect that. Some police are about their community
He's like Walter White or Tommy Vercetti in real life!!! ❤ this badass!!!
@Filomena Gonzales, too many politicians and prosecuting attorneys (democrats all) are pro-criminal.
Gun control groups such as Moms Demand Victims and Everytown for Gun Confiscation seek pro-criminal, anti-constitution gun control legislation that supports and protects CRIMINALS!!
The democrat party is pro-criminal.
Note the large number of categories of crimes that are de facto legal in California and in MANY democrat run cities such as Chicago.
Criminals are a protected class of citizens in California.
I love this guy, we need more cops like him! "If you break into someone's house you're rolling the dice" Bingo! Home invasion's aren't a joke, you're risking your life when you break into someone's home, prison is the least of your worries!
When you remember the other side on this topic, you start to realize how hypocritical they are. If you try to defund the police but you don’t own a gun because you think they’re scary, how tf are you supposed to defend yourself, your loved ones and/or your property from dangerous criminals?
but but... gun bad, take gun away everyone will be happy! we dont need violence, if a person breaks into our home he must be desperate, we should share with him some food, shelter, and clothes. theres no way the home intruder is possibly just trying to enter our homes just to cause bodily harm to us. whats the chance they might be a psychopath?
the type of person the text above belongs to may be a bit dumb, but their heart is in the right place. thats why we need to take up arms and defend those that wont themselves.
You can be like the British today, rewrite firearms History to suit and deny having formed the first NRA.
It’s pretty funny how divided the left actually is amongst itself when you start talking to them. Friend of mine is a stout liberal leftist by her own admission, yet on her 21st the first thing she did was buy a handgun and was super happy about it since she lives in a questionable part of town.
Meanwhile, I have another friend that considers themselves a moderate Democrat but believes I’m potentially dangerous for owning a gun. They live way out in the suburbs in the very center of an upscale gated community.
✨you don’t✨
The left doesn’t want to abolish the police. They want a police state and the police in their pocket. Phase one is creating apparent anarchy to justify it. Don’t fall for the misdirection.
Hello from Santa Rosa County! awesome to see the Sheriff get recognized for this. It was big local news but seeing it on your channel makes me appreciate you even more, thank you!
Good for y’all! I’m not familiar with the area. Is he for real, or is he another “Red Flag Freddy” like Judd in Polk County? It’s hard to believe how many people think Judd is pro 2A!
Hello from Escambia County. Brayden from Langley Outdoors Academy did two separate videos on this sheriff so far. That was the first I saw about it...

@@usonumabeach300 what is "the bottom half"? Is that Gulf Breeze?
I couldn't agree more with what that sheriff said!!! Luckily I live in a small backwoods town and our local police have the same feelings towards how to deal with criminals and our right to defend ourselves with guns. Needless to say our police get to spend more time drinking coffee because I'd say conservatively 75% of the people you see out and about are armed even the little old lady on her way to church...
Same around here. Had to call the Sheriff out years ago for a snooper who was peering in windows and trying to get in the back door late at night, right as my mother and sister were getting home. He apparently told my parents not to hesitate to unload on a trespasser snooping around the house, especially at night in the middle of nowhere. He was later caught, and turned out he was a member of the local cult that had been breaking into homes and stealing women's clothes. You never know what a violent(or in this case crazy) person is capable of.

my kind of sheriff
Absolutely, the best thing I have heard!!!! I agree we more men to stand-up.
One of the deputies that arrived at my home after 4 ex-cons tried to do a home invasion was mad at me for pointing my shotgun at one of them instead of talking my way out🤦🏽 She arrived 14 minutes later after the incident. I guess I was supposed to plead with them to not invade my home and possibly injure or kill me and my handicapped mother. Another deputy who arrived later exonerated me when he told us I did everything exactly as I was supposed to.
That deputy was an idiot

Love this sheriff! He isn't a politician but we really need more "not a politician" in office.
Extremely well said. Spot on Colion.
Like the “Lion” play on his name. 😉
@@sterlingmichaels Got to keep it light, right? He does take a lot of crap from the left hand media. He bucks up and goes at them. Yes, as a lion.
BLESS THIS SHERIFF, MAY HE LIVE FOREVER. I have, personally, been saying this for YEARS.. but I am just a nobody rare conservative in NAZIfornia (I'm not the norm here).. but for someone with a platform and position to get the word out to say this makes me happier than words can express. Every single sheriffs department NEEDS this exact kind of person in charge of their administrations.
Saves a ton of tax payer dollars. One or two rounds of ammo is pretty cheap compared to a trial
There's the added benefit of no more repeat offenders if the criminal is actually killed.
A home invasion leading to a death seems almost certain to result in a long trial, both criminal and/or civil. Just because a local Sherriff does not want to charge you doesn't mean the State DA won't.
@@kevinguthmiller8510 DA is going to have a tough time with that if CSI packs up and leaves the minute they confirm it was indeed a home invasion
@@SepticFuddy you're kidding yourself if you think their won't be a full investigation in the case of a death.
I wish more people are like that cop. That guy knows what a “right” is!
Love this Sheriff! A man with principles and embraces the idea of consequences for actions.
A real law man.

Yes, we need Sheriffs like this here in California. Plus, Newsom should be in jail.
I grew up in Florida and this is a common attitude. Why anyone would rob a house in FL I have no idea. Countless stories of dead burglars. 🤷♂️
Man, that has got to be the most likable sheriff that I've been made aware of. Everything he said makes sense.
All sheriffs (and law enforcement) should have this sheriffs’s mentality toward crime! Break into a home... Forfeit all your rights!!
More people need to hear this. This sheriff and you speak the truth.
Now that is a Sheriff I can get behind, support and vote for👍

This criminal had a history that basically made it a matter of time until he accidentally killed someone. I'd rather the criminal die than the innocent home owner.
I get you 100% but if we can’t rely on the police… why do we need them?
@@fernieibarra9025 I see it as an alternative for the folks who don't have the ability or means to defend themselves. Not everyone has the guts or ability to defend themselves.(edit. Grammar)
@@fernieibarra9025 If a crime is committed upon me or my property, I don't have time to track the criminal down or recover stolen items. We do rely on police for that; we CAN'T rely on them to show up in two seconds when that's all the time a person has to react to a break-in. Self-defense in the heat of the moment is dependant on...self.
@@fernieibarra9025 we need them to do routine mundane things that many of us prefer not to do. Like patrol remote areas, maintain national boarder and crossing, give directions to tourists, manage “lost and found” counter in police station (think Japanese police) etc…
Our neighbors called the cops on a potentially armed prowler. The cops got here pretty damn fast just under 4 minutes. That is a damn good response time folks. 4 minutes is in fact great, but it is 3 minutes 55 seconds to long if someone is in your home you can have as little as 3 or 4 seconds to respond. Our neighbor actually yelled out the window i called the cops to save your life i am armed. They did get there, and they did arrest him. He had a airsoft gun with the tip cut off. It could have easily been a real gun

"All day everyday"? That sounds like "Chicago Style" voting! Lol
Very true and simple message by Mr Noir and the sheriff. So why so many people don’t get it???
mean from a purely "Work" standpoint, you cant deny he's right to want this; less criminals means less work for the cops. Even during the most peaceful times in our society cops are outnumbered and overworked.
And like he said, a criminal stupid enough to value your stuff over their own life, well . . . they might very well put your own quite low in value. And they shouldn't be allowed to try to do it again.
Yep. You have people saying that victims of crime value their stuff over other people's lives but they forget criminals will kill you for your stuff.
Amen, amen 🙏‼️‼️‼️‼️
🤣😂🤣😂
It’s a double edged sword but it’s one that should be decided by the individual with how they want to handle it, and I’m all for it. 100% for the 2nd amendment even if it means criminals get guns because we all need target some practice just in case we need to put a gun in every single blade of grass in case anyone invades us
"So you think that criminal's life is less valuable than your properties?".
"No, but they clearly demonstrated that the potential of forcefully take my properties is worth the risk of potentially losing their own life".
