@@Sheridantank Chicago, Detroit, New York, Atlanta, honestly if you remove the major democrat strong holds from the statistics the gun crime and crime in general goes down massively.
The Constitution and law has forever meant law abiding citizens of 18 years of older who aren't criminals or other categories of dangerous people (mentally insane, threat to US in time of war, etc). It used to exclude slaves and certain "races" (race isn't a legitimate scientific difference, and clearly it isn't a legitimate category to make decisions on except from a historic view), but that was thankfully destroyed. So that straw man argument sounded even more idiotic not only because the guy didn't say what he implied he said but also even if he did say it the constitution still has already been determined to exclude most minors. Of course some minors are allowed on the social and scientific beliefs that they are mature and old enough to handle guns and have rights in certain cases especially with supervision. But kids should be able to shoot guns as long as they have a teacher or supervision. We should be teaching gun responsibility and use while kids are young so they could at the least vote reasonably. Most gun control supporters not only don't own a gun but they've never even shot one or learned from gun owners. You add in the logical fallacies that banning guns will save people and those people really shouldn't vote because they are uneducated. This is unrelated but anyone questioning crime rates and safety after outlawing guns in a state heavy in guns, look at Brazil. They're still facing the repercussions of taking guns from law abiding citizens, it's absolutely horrendous. It might not apply directly but it is likely it would happen here too. Its easy to see just how corrupt the police are in many areas of the US, and combine that with the same party that wants gun control as wants to "DEFUND police". If anything, we need to increase funding so we can pay for more quality policeman and better training. More like fund the police more and regulate them more. I'm not an ACAB, that's idiotic, the main issue that causes severe corruption is there isn't a standardized requirement. It's good to be skeptical and question police departments, but they are all completely different between departments. ACAB is harmful because it actually discourages good departments from spreading their ways and finding success and fulfillment in that environment. The studies show you treat someone or label them as a criminal or other bad guy, they do it even more even if they were angels beforehand. Just my thoughts and I'm open to discussing the issues. I'm just sick of all this uneducated bullshit straw man arguments going around by people who have no knowledge or logic regarding these situations. Its not that simple and it never will be. Anyone making absolute claims without explaining all potential outcomes positive and negative and then comparing them to make a final decision is hurting society wasting the space for educated messages and brainwashing people who don't think into confidently voting for something without actually thinking it through. That's unethical at best. Ironic that these gun control people feel they are the most ethical people sacrificing their rights to save lives when really they are unethically tricking others into voting without actually being able to think for themselves. Democracy requires people to be educated and voting used to even require you to be educated class. I'm not saying that was best or restrict voting because that's wrong, but I'm saying educate openly and fairly. You shouldn't have to argue your opinion and play on people's emotions. You should share the whole messages and all sides and if yours is right people will choose it.

@@nickabel8279 It's not so much playing games with what confiscate means but rather he's playing games the scale of guns in such a saying means. He's treating it as if when you say gun confiscation, you mean all guns are confiscated. You can have a country that strait up call it gun confiscation, and collects 99.99% of firearms leaving only a few well connected super wealthy people with a couple of guns, but because there are still people with guns then the guns were not confiscated since no one would have a gun if they confiscated guns. You'll often playing the same game of scaling when they say "No one is coming after your guns" or (for some especially dumb anti's who really suck at the game) "No one is trying to ban guns". With regards to Canada's registry (set up by the Liberal government) ... First, it applied only to long guns, not pistols (note I am in no way justifying the program). Second, it was an utter failure, in part because many owners of those firearms - mainly farmers and ranchers - did not comply, particularly in the prairie provinces and especially in Alberta, where I am (proudly). Third, the registry was repealed in 2012 by the Conservative government and its records were destroyed. I will side note quickly that of the 199 homicide victims of those using a firearm in 2018, 72% of those deaths were by handgun, not a rifle or shotgun. Fourth, the current Liberal government's gun buy back program was initially proposed as mandatory ; it only became voluntary after significant pushback and has not passed, but that didn't stop the government from including sweeping gun control measures impacting legal owners and the banning of hundreds of models. The proposed legislation will die if it fails the Senate before an election is called after the summer break. Then, fingers crossed that the Conservatives win this fall, although I am not optimistic they will stand as firm as we'd like. We will fight on.
He said something very scary. "Any deterrent, no matter how small, reduces the risk of a crime." Their idea of a crime is speaking your mind and defending yourself.
Nah, this is just his stupidity shining through. Note how even he admits that gun laws are only a “small deterrent” here, but fails to acknowledge a gun is a pretty freaking large deterrent. If we want every possible deterrent, arming people is a lot bigger a deterrent than gun control.
@@Max_R_MaMint my point is just that these people shouldn't be allowed out of prison in the first place. That's the problem. The problem isn't "what if they got a gun!?" The problem is...what if they don't even need a gun? If you murdered and sexually abused someone, you should never step foot on our streets again. As a God fearing Christian man, I'd defer to God's law when He instructed His people. These people must be put to death. I know that's harsh. But so is murder and sexual abuse. I trust God's judgment.
I’ve argued for ex felons to have rights...but if you don’t or can’t trust a felon, why is he allowed in our society. Only solution unfortunately is to have capital punishment. Victims of crimes shouldn’t have to pay criminals to live out their lives with 3 hots and a cot and if they permanently broke our trust, then we need permanent solution. In the prayer before executions we recognize the possibility of innocence. It’s a lousy reason to punish society while innocent people may still be in prison for 25 years instead of 8 then executed. Prison is longer even a deterrent when it’s better life than many have.
What if it was 3rd degree murder? Not all murders are morally equivalent. You have a natural right to defend yourself. Period. You don't lose your right to defend yourself just because you get convicted of a felony.

I have come around to the belief that if someone has served their time, paid their debt, and has completed probation or parole, they should have their 2nd Amendment rights. If they are a “dangerous child molesting murderous felon” then they shouldn’t be out of prison.
antpassalacqua I have been saying that for years. If they are too dangerous to own a firearm then they are too dangerous to be walking around freely in Society, whether they are armed or not.
Republicans should honestly overthrow the government and establish a theocratic dictatorship. Then, they should take the guns away from the people so they can't overthrow the new regime.
Looking back at the comment regarding Canada saying they don't take away guns is hilarious. Canada _is_ taking away guns now, allowing an ever shrinking range of firearms.

Back in the '70's gun safety was part of the grade school education. Gun hunter safety course was one of the best ways to educate teenagers about firearms and archery.
Well nowadays public schools too busy prepping for the New World Order so they can't have strong toxic male masculinity being taught in schools anymore. The dumb thing about this is while the elites THINK that gun control may ultimately succeed, this will have no bearing on Jesus' return, His power or the celestial weaponry of His saints (the Christian believers). Keep in mind that the first mention of a weapon in the Bible was the Cherubim with a celestial sword that turned every way. That sounds like an alien, technologically superior weapon. Isaiah 2:4 shows the nations rebuked as disarming themselves BUT, the saints themselves are armed while executing judgement over the world with a "sword" in hand..see Psalms 149:6-9 Psalms 149:6-9 [6]Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, 👉and a twoedged sword in their hand;👈 [7]To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; [8]To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; [9]To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
Back around 73 I took my hunter safety course. Three hours long all about gun safety. At the end we had to show we could shoot and aim on the range. What I really took away from the course was when the instructor told us half way through the course we were going to the range. He handed us 22 rifles as we walked by us and after the first one was handed out he made us stop. None of us had checked the rifle. He made us check and three of us had a spent round in the chamber. He repeated his instructions on checking a weapon when first handed to you. I'm 63 now and it still sticks with me.
Even more to the point, education about firearms and archery is not gun control! Only if said education becomes a firewall to gun ownership would it be a form of gun control. I would welcome a return to teaching many of the fundamentals in grade school... Firearm and hunting safety is just one subject, what about basic finance, basic cooking, first aid, and the principles of small engines, just to name a few?

There already are checks to see if you have been CONVICTED of a crime. Being prosecuted for a crime is not the same thing, not until you are actually found guilty. Oh, wait, except if a man is ACCUSED of domestic violence. Heard this one awhile back. Man was attacked and stabbed by his wife. Cops show up, and put HIM in cuffs even before EMTs show up to treat the wound. HE was then taken to jail (for a couple days) and HIS gun(s?) confiscated. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE LAW STATED WAS TO HAPPEN. From my perspective, laws are for people that can't think on their own and need it spelled out exactly how they are supposed to conduct themselves. Oh, and to protect the actual criminals.

Argument for the comedians first point: once upon a time kids were taught proper gun safety. It was normal for an 8-10 year old to go out shooting squirrels, etc. So, yes, let's teach the kids in a safe way! As to the sex offender? If laws were just, he'd be dead. So no need to worry about him ever getting a gun.
Not sure how young my sister was but think it was before 8 where I told her some things about guns. Namely: this is a toy (I bought her a nerf gun) and safe to play with, if you find something else that is not your toy tell and adult and do not touch it. For kids it is basically me telling them if you want to play use a toy, real guns are no where near as fun as you can only use them in limited situations. That and not to shoot people in the face (with toy guns).
I've always thought it was shit to strip people of their rights for life, yet not keep them imprisoned, Either they have paid their debt to society, or they have not. If they have? there should be no problem, If they have not? remain in jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200. As for children, it should be up to the parents not the government, every child is different and matures(and thus can be trusted with more responsibility) at a different rate, there is no single age upon reaching which you can suddenly be trusted with a lethal weapon. Nor is there a single age at which a responsible child, under supervision, is suddenly physically capable of safely making use of said weapon.
well being it is now public education for sex ed if republicans "leaders" were not useless then they would push for gun ed classes in firearm safety for all public schools

Not just that, but not everything bad has to be illegal. Self-medicating with alcohol is morally irresponsible, not illegal. Eating 6k+ calories a day with no discipline and receiving expensive ER care after a heart attack is morally irresponsible, but not illegal. Promising a long-term relationship with a woman, then pumping and dumping her is morally irresponsible, but not illegal. Handing a gun to a 2yo might be morally irresponsible, but why illegal? Giving them soda and candy, most likely giving them childhood obesity issues is not illegal.

They don't actually want to apply any effective solutions though. That's the funny part. They defunded police. They're letting criminals out of jail in record numbers. Then they act shocked when crime skyrockets, and try to blame it on the law abiding citizens.
What about what China has? Cameras everywhere, face scanners, social crediting and a low crime rate. That would make more sense rather than having everyone carrying guns. Why risk having someone misusing ones? Or someone trying to defend themselves and miss the attacker? What if you get the gun taken off you? If a criminal knows you have a gun they are more than likely going to sue theirs on yours, or use what ever they have on you. The security guard at the Florida school had a gun and it never deterred that shooter? Nor did the security stop the shooting.
@@KyleTheDalek Yeah that sounds really infringy, I'm good off a surveillance state. "Why risk having someone misusing ones?" These thugs pistol whip and shoot at people all day, man. You clearly lack faith in good people. Why should only criminals be armed? Tell me that? "Or someone trying to defend themselves and miss the attacker?" This is why we encourage a culture of safety and training. Thugs who "bust caps" don't aim - people defending themselves however have a LOT of incentive to actually aim. "What if you get the gun taken off you?" What if your car gets stolen? Secure your property, and be safe. If you conceal properly, nobody knows you are armed in the first place. "If a criminal knows you have a gun they are more than likely going to sue theirs on yours, or use what ever they have on you." Same thing - if you conceal properly, they don't know that you are armed. However, you can be - and anyone can be for that matter, which is a MASSIVE deterrant to anyone attempting to commit violent crime. That comes from prisoner testimony. As for the florida case, the guard was a pussy and for all we know, the shooter knew that. All he had to do was figure out what side of the school he was on and start at the opposite side. If he was hell-bent on mass-killing people, he probably was ready to die. I'm talking about street encounters where you get mugged at gunpoint and shit like that. @@Icemario87You're joking, correct?
@@Ladis1 Correct.

"Comedian"
How is a person with a you tune channel using his 1st amendment rights overstepping his role?
@mattm402
Roles and rights are not the same.
No one argued against his First Amendment rights. Of course he has the right to speak his mind and no one has said otherwise. The real argument is that he is a comedian, not a political figure, and an idiot to boot.
He was never taught not to grab guns from anyone.
He hasnt overstepped, he's still being a comedian in the video.
This really aged well now since he used Canada as the example of “gun registration doesn’t lead to confiscation”. Now Canada is calling to ban all Handguns 🤣
And to confiscate all AR-15’s.
The Canadians just switched to 3d printing them. xD
The handgun ban is the just latest BS trick Trudeau has pulled on legal gun owners. In, or around, 2019 (don't hold me to that year) he made over 2000 various long guns illegal with an Order In Council. No parliamentary debate and no facts to back up his decision. Never believe anyone who pushes for gun control when they tell you they're not coming for all of your guns. They're lying and they're not even really trying to hide it anymore.
Yep, one of the literal examples given of "see, you guys are using the slippery slope fallacy!" turns out to be a prime example as to the "the only logical conclusion is the slippery slope goal..." crowd. Only a comedian can be this hilarious without trying.
There are way more illegal guns here in Canada than legal ones trustt
I have come around to the belief that if someone has served their time, paid their debt, and has completed probation or parole, they should have their 2nd Amendment rights. If they are a “dangerous child molesting murderous felon” then they shouldn’t be out of prison.
If you don’t trust them with a gun, why would you trust them with a knife, or a car, or a propane tank. I agree with you.
I can tell that I already love you. I ‘ve been lmao , it was a great comment and of course it meant dead serious. Keep on keeping on.
antpassalacqua I have been saying that for years. If they are too dangerous to own a firearm then they are too dangerous to be walking around freely in Society, whether they are armed or not.
Republicans should honestly overthrow the government and establish a theocratic dictatorship. Then, they should take the guns away from the people so they can't overthrow the new regime.
Unfortunately, that's not the way it works
Looking back at the comment regarding Canada saying they don't take away guns is hilarious. Canada _is_ taking away guns now, allowing an ever shrinking range of firearms.

Back in the '70's gun safety was part of the grade school education. Gun hunter safety course was one of the best ways to educate teenagers about firearms and archery.
Seriously I feel like as many guns as there are in the US gun safety should be taught early in school. I am positive it would save so many lives.
@@vilneas6358 I agree!
Isaiah 2:4 shows the nations rebuked as disarming themselves
BUT, the saints themselves are armed while executing judgement over the world with a "sword" in hand..see Psalms 149:6-9
Psalms 149:6-9
[6]Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, 👉and a twoedged sword in their hand;👈
[7]To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
[8]To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
[9]To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints.

@@Briselance no there shouldn’t.
@@Briselance There aren't "no laws about firearms at all". Felons are excluded (including violent criminals, btw) for example. Those with mental health issues (depending on type) have restrictions.

No. Our forefathers believed that if you did your time you got ALL of your rights back. They believed in redemption.
The only thing they didn't believe in was letting people too heinous leave their prison. They executed those that they figured would never get better.
I've owned a gun since I was 10, was taught to handle and shoot a gun when I was 8. My 7 year old granddaughter now has a Cricket 22 , appropriately called My First Rifle ".

Yes, so let everyone carry.
"Why risk having someone misusing ones?"
This is already an existing risk, except the majority of the weight where I live is on the side of the criminals, since it's virtually impossible to get a CCW. These thugs pistol whip and shoot at people all day, man. You clearly lack faith in good people. Why should only criminals be armed? Tell me that?
"Or someone trying to defend themselves and miss the attacker?"
This is why we encourage a culture of safety and training. Thugs who "bust caps" don't aim - people defending themselves however have a LOT of incentive to actually aim.
"What if you get the gun taken off you?"
What if your car gets stolen? Secure your property, and be safe. If you conceal properly, nobody knows you are armed in the first place.
"If a criminal knows you have a gun they are more than likely going to sue theirs on yours, or use what ever they have on you."
Same thing - if you conceal properly, they don't know that you are armed.
You know, much more common occurrences (like dozens of times a day where I live).
Long story short, I would much rather take the risk of well-to-do people being armed than just having untrainined ghetto-ass criminals armed. It's a no brainer. Peace.
