House of Staunton makes great beautiful sets. I may purchase one of these 4" sets my self. I already own a 6" tall king set which is amazing.

I ordered the exact same combo set this past December. It came in, a couple of days after Christmas. Upon unboxing the set, right away I noticed the rosewood king would not sit flat on the board and the light colored queen’s weight was loose and rattled (strike 1). I immediately contacted HOS for a RMA. Sometime later, my replacement pieces arrived.
Earlier this month (April 2014), I noticed a light colored pawn had a hairline crack from the bottom of the piece running up to near the half-way point of the pawn (strike 2). Now that my set is past the 30-day return period, I now have to pay ALL shipping costs. In this case, $8.51 to return the defective pawn there and their $4.00 freight costs for the replacement pawn to be sent to me.
This past Friday (April 18th), I am using the set and now notice the light colored queen has a similar hairline crack (strike 3)! I couldn’t believe it! I have had it with this inferior, cheap set! If this keeps up, I will eventually end up replacing most if not all of the light colored pieces! And with the shipping/handling costs to send the defective pieces to them and pay their shipping costs to have them send the replacement back, I might as well have bought a much nicer set! Keep in mind; this set isn’t even 6 months old!
Their customer service guy tried to tell me this is all because I live in an arid part of the United States (Arizona). And because of this, I need to have a humidifier where the pieces are stored. This is a bunch of B.S. Why? Because I own two other wooden sets, with the light colored pieces made out of the same material and have had NO issues whatsoever with those pieces! One set is 5 years old and the other is almost 10 years old. With the replacement pawn, they included some “special instructions” that say, “In the winter, the humidity level should be 35% - 45%, with the temperature 65 - 70 degrees. Summer humidity levels should be between 55% - 65%, with temperatures between 70 - 75 degrees.” With my other two sets, I have not had to jump through such ridiculous hoops!
I have requested my money back and safe to say, I will never do business with this vendor again.

Go with weighted plastic set. They play just fine and do not crack.

You were a bit rough on when opening, yeah let's just get a pen and start ripping it open. I'm thinking about buying the same set thanks for the video man...love how they put so much effort into packing there products, they spared no expense.... Very nice

Beautiful set, but I wouldn't want the logo on the board. I get enough advertisements in my life. I don't need them on my chessboard. Plus would look cleaner without it. JMO.
