How to stay safe around moose?
Moose will put their ears back when they are mad.
Never get too close to a moose, especially if it is a mother and babies.
Give moose the right of way if they are on your trail or driveway. Move away from a moose slowly.
Put your arms up and appear big if they approach you.
Run left or right, zigzag between trees if you are charged.

I’ve worked in Yellowstone National Park and I can say that people grossly underestimate estimate the potential of moose becoming aggressive towards humans. Imo, it’s up there with bison and bears.
I've heard of this, definitely would stay way back from a cow moose especially if she had calves!!!
Aww, that's beautiful AG, & Yes, you should stay away from any Animal that has babies with it. I know our Cows in the UK get pretty miffed if you go anywhere near the calves in a field.

Thanks for this video. So sweet. I got up very close to a moose in the kenai area a few years ago and got a great picture, but it's good to remember your advice! This summer I get to go back to Nome where I get to visit my friendly musk oxen! Those animals even come into town and leave a little gift in various places 🤣
Please, please, please respect life and nature. Our animals do not have a safe habitat to give birth. A mother will obviously protect her baby. Always. 💗

Isn't it amazing that some people have to be told not to go near wild animals.
I was able to capture on video the birth of twin calves in our yard last spring but from the window of my house. We frequently have moose in our yard and I never disturb them even when it isn't calving season. I actually live in the town where this man was killed.
What a wonderful experience, twin calves. Very sad for this man.
What ever happened to telephoto lenses? Everyone is using their cell phones now. Every year in Yellowstone there are more idiots showing up who think they know better even though its posted. If a person gets attacked, many times the animal will be put down.
