Didn't work for me. Proved that it was the Camera sensor not working. Also a tip: Don't but Swann. Support is crap. Had heaps of problems over a previous camera fault. Looking for an alternative camera.
In my case my system capture movemente and everything (It blinks when someone passes by). My problem is with my app, it keeps loading and loading and never let me see what my cameras are recording.
Mine only records some of it but not everything. My wife went to the store and it didn't record her leave. I got a clip of her bringing stuff in from her car afterwards. Then another clip of her bringing more things in from her car But no clip of her going back to her car

Every time I select play back, i click play and it says press a channel, it doesnt let me select any channel. It was recording up to a move ago because i play that back, but nothing is recording now. only lets my view it live which works fine. anyone able to help??

I used to can open Homesafe View app away from home within 5 seconds when we were with AT&T with 50mbps internet and now that with Comcast running 900mbps yet the app open in almost 1 minute even I am in the full 5G signal zone. At home with WIFI, the app open is super-fast though. Xfi router is already open port with 9000 same as At&T router. Calling Comcast but they have no idea. Wondering what else I can do? Thanks.
It's a shit product, massively inconsistent as missing detection. In most recent incident going out this eve and 1 camera didn't pick me up locking door, the other camera as me standing within driveway and the other returning three hrs later & unlocking front door.
Shea... It will be an authentication error with the email provider that is touted as working with the Swann DVR's but, the DVR has a hard time talking to the email provider (Google, Gmail, Yahoo that Swann want us to use). You will need to log into the email provider on a computer, settings, then sniff about to find the section "Sign in using App Passwords". An App Password is a 16-digit passcode that gives a non-Google/Gmail/Yahoo app or device permission to access your Google/Gmail/Yahoo Account. From memory I think you need to have 2-Step Verification turned on. Cant remember. The email provider will give you a random 16 digit password which you type into the password field in the Swann DVR and you should be good to go. I had the same problem with a new Gmail account setup specifically for the Swann DVR only just last week but gave up on that and ended up using my really old Yahoo email address. Once I configured Yahoo as above and was provided with the 16 digit password everything worked fine. Hope that helps 😃.

You only need to set alarm, it defaults to sensitivity 5 so if motion is still not working try setting it to 8 the highest setting.

This hasn’t fixed it for us. Any other suggestions?
As soon as we set to record 24/7 the recording works fine. But if we have it on PIR and Motion it will not record or sense anything at all.

You need to set your Gmail security settings to allow less secure apps.

I tried this and it bricked my whole system. Beware!!!!! I now have a black screen and the system will not restart, or connect to the internet. Help!
