There could never really be another Rory Gallagher. By listening to his sound, his technique, his tone and musical sensibilities, I'd say a whole lot of his contemporaries were influenced by him. He was moved by something inside to express himself in a very unique way. He never gave up his musical integrity, he was always true to his fans.

We have videos of Rory in concert, and I've watched probably over a thousand hours, since I used to exercise while listening to Rory. No matter where he was, there was one emotion that came out. Intensely respectful love. From Rory to his fans, and from his fans towards Rory. How many times was there a crowd rush, and Rory was never afraid, he just knew that people were there for a common feeling.
The youth of today doesn't even know of him. He wasn't Hendrix, but unique and influential like him. Slash is a cool dude to interview. I only like HUMAN stars. You can be rich and down to earth and care. It's not easy when you're filthy rich and in the limelight. Rush said something about the limelight.
