Ghost Blues - The Story of Rory Gallagher
This superb two disc DVD set tells for the first time the complete and fully authorised story of Rory Gallagher. On disc one "Ghost Blues" follows Rory's life and career from his upbringing in Cork, his early days with a showband, the brief success of Taste and then his legendary solo career leading up to his health problems in later life and tragic death at the age of just 47. There are archive interviews, both audio and visual, with Rory and contributions from many of his friends and admirers including his brother Donal, Bob Geldof, The Edge, Cameron Crowe, Slash, Ronnie Drew, Bill Wyman, band members and many more. Disc two "The Beat Club Sessions" then shows what Rory Gallagher was really all about -- a magnificent live performer. Drawn from three different appearances on the German TV series "Beat Club", this disc contains over 90 minutes of previously unreleased live performances which illustrate why he inspired so many of the musicians who pay tribute to him in "Ghost Blues". - Видеоклипы
Why the negativity, like Slash or don't like Slash I don't care (and neither does he), but he is speaking with great respect, affection and admiration for one of the greatest rock guitarists we've ever seen - well done!
back in 1978 my high school class had record day . i played rory's tatooed lady. the teacher and the kids all thought it was unlistenable. they had all played disco records. some people don't get it. i love rory's music.
Feeling the same bro, since I've been listening more and more, u undertansd that's such special music just for special people. Thankgod for his existence!
All Slash is saying is what anyone really knows, that follows Guitar players! That Rory is one of the great Strat players ever! A guitar Legend...
"He had a sort of real hardcore rock'n'roll chords kinda thing, but it also had a sort of delicate" Perfect.
Saw Rory soooooooooooooo many times. The man brought music down to earth, and I thank the Universe for his existence. Gone but NOT forgotten.
Ur a lucky guy😊🎈
Slash would have loved some of Rory's shows in Belfast in like 83 or 84. Those were legendary - and rightly so. I feel honoured to have been there
John Martyn was legendary too
@@jackietreehorn5561 Slash is talking about Rory here.
@@michaelstephen819 awesome.... Stevie ray Vaughan also a great up there
Slash's voice is so soothing. I love how he smacks his lips when he talks. I bet he never yells at people. He is so calm and gentle. I love you Slash!!!
Are we all agreed that Rory is the GOAT yet? Anyone else watch the acoustic rockp[last set a 100 times as a lesson?
Rory a legend... john Martyn also unreal
Rory...no words needed, just look and listen at the man live performances
Dude he's so genuine and unique lol he's so passionate about it
Fantastic tribute from Slash.
Only time I've ever seen Slash without his hat, glasses and his hair pulled back was here to talk about Rory. I wasn't much of a Slash fan until I saw this many years ago.
This vid brought me here thank God sincerely for this and thank God for slash and Joe Perry they stated it all for me but also helped me find Roy
Fair play to the Slashmeister!!!! Slash knows his way round a guitar and to speak in such a humble, appreciative way of Rory is so refreshing and down to earth.
Cheers Slash For acknowledging this utter guitar behemoth!!
Rory was a unique force, that we witness from time to time.
Thank you youtube for letting us witness this incredible man..........
I'd rather hear or watch live videos than watch the official video tv vids or CD. There's Something special about watching someone play Live.
(I can hear Slashes cat meowing for him to pick him up) 😂
I have never EVER heard anyone say a bad word about Rory ... not once.
he was a gentleman he never had a bad word to say either
He passed too soon. RIP💝Rory
Meu vício......
why is everyone here dissing slash? slash is awesome in his own right, and and their level its not the point in who's better, but who do you like better, which sound do you prefer.
Plaid shirt man!💝
Rory Gallagher was the best guitarist of all time no one else came close not even Hendrix!!!
Better than hendrix? Rory never reached the heights of jimi love em both but Rory is a good bit down the scale as far as fame goes.
@@patrickdoake6022 fame does not mean anything, hendrix himself admitted rory was better
John Martyn was unbelievable at the same time and never got the credit he deserved
ruclips.net/video/nIgr_OTgW8Y/видео.html cagey recording but unreal musician
@@kivaari4184 Hendrix was not of this earth tho
Thank you for posting this!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
slash is cool!!!
Flannel shirts! That's what they're called.
yes. thank you!
Check shirts
Yep, that's what we call them in Southern California, cotton flannel long sleeve plaid shirts or checkered. Sometimes also called Pendleton's, if high quality and made out of wool instead of cotton.
There's gingham too. But hmm I'd say it was flannel he was after.. Let's email his PA!
beautiful eyes:)
Moonchild was one of his wildest songs. Really for anyone to play.
Yeah thats a good one. My favorites woukd be Moonchild, Used to Be, Philby
@@RByrne big Rory Gallagher fan from ni and recently discovered john Martyn check him out if never heard him unreal

Having seen Rory for the first time at the Bull Island festival in '72, I would have LOVED to have seen one of the shows later on when a fledgling band called KISS was the opening act. For me, I would have loved both. Interestingly enough, I was shocked when I found out that the Eagles had performed at Bull Island. It's not that I was blitzed all weekend, I guess their early heavily "country" sound just didn't get my attention.
Thought there was a baby crying in the background 😅 twas a cat haha
Se ascoltate bene le canzoni di Rory, molti suoi riffs sono stati copiati dalle più famose bands e diventati pezzi culto!
Plaid shirts, cotton flannel shirts, or if really high quality and made out of wool, Pendleton's.
SLASH HAS EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Slash has great ears
It's called FLANNEL Slash!!
What's the song at the first
flannel shirts slash!
Why is Slash drinking his red beer from a wierd glass ?
and at*
Think Slash ever remembered that the shirts were called "flannel"?
I thought they were called shower curtains with buttons
GINGHAM
Think he means flannel shirts
It's a flannel shirt
FLANNELS 😅
So - the guitarist from 'the most dangerous band in the world' couldn't keep up with a mild-mannered Irish man. Says it all really.
slash is "gay" that's the only thing i can say 'bout him... 'bout Rory, he's one of the gods of the guitar
