I think many of us agree that this beautiful video game deserves a retrofit to the PS5 technology and to be included in the games catalog of that console. I would love to play it again and enjoy it like when I was a child ❤️
1 Square wouldnt give this game the budget for that, 2 it's better fitted for the Switch. We're lucky someone at Square cares about the Mana series, it's too far of a stretch for someone to champion an updated version when this games failure led to Kingdom Hearts.
I think back to playing it sometimes and it feels like some kind of fever dream. I don't think I've ever met anybody in real life who played it so easy to imagine my own memory as a kind of Mandela effect.

I have been thinking of making a fan remake of this game for years, I've done some of the concept art for how they would look in my style and started working on 3D models with one of my friends who studied video game design but listening to this music again I'm reminded of how unique and beautiful this was in the original it would be so tough to replicate this.
I would love to help in anyway, mainly I feel I have the eye and ear for jrpgs, super obsessed with squaresoft and this game as well. Let me know I would love to see what you have worked on

Truthfully I'm working on my degree at the moment and have only really done some character sketches since I take a lot of inspiration in my art from squaresoft designs. If I decided to work on it as a small passion project it likely wouldn't be for another year but I really appreciate your reply and interest
There is, there's something about this soundtrack that brings out emotion. Much like the Final Fantasy IX, X, VIII, VII and Chrono Cross soundtracks this one really hits me hard, it's hard to explain in words. Maybe it's just the fact that it brings back memories of times that we'll never get back.
This game is so underrated and deserves a remaster This video game made me fall in love with gaming and was the first game that blew my damn mind as a kid. The soundtrack, adventure and story is just amazing. This game helped me escape my troubled childhood and I want to thank the creator for making this game. This game always has and always will have a special place in my heart and will always be my favorite PS1.

If you're still wondering how to play it, ps emulators like epxse exists out there, a little troublesome to set up, but totally worth the hassle, since you get to keep your games permanently, without physical limitation since it's those iso/bin files you need to run games

He asked about it and wanted to give it a try, so I cleaned both off and let him play it. He said despite it being as old as him and having bad graphics(compared to games nowadays), he actually enjoyed playing it.
