Great vid. You say not to put sealant between the pinion carrier, shims and housing - mine is weeping oil from there, how would you recommend i stop that?

@@benl227 if the surfaces are real clean, it shouldn’t leak, if you have to use any sealant, you need to recheck depth and might have to remove a thousandth to compensate.

@@murphysgarage no worries, will do. Was just going to put a very thin layer of ultrablack on the surfaces to fill any small imperfections

Thank you for such a great informative video. I have a 95 14 bolt but it’s a 9.5 ring and pinion. I can’t seem to find a crush sleeve eliminator for it. Any chance it’s the same as in a 10.5? Thanks for any help or insight on this.

@@rmork9136 the 9.5 sleeve is shorter .745” vs .825” on the early 14 bolt and .920” on the late 14 bolt, so probably not. If they are the same diameter, you might be able to get an early eliminator kit and use less of the shims. I have had eliminator kits made by a machine shop cutting a piece of dom tube and then using either Dana or 14 bolt shims to make the adjustments, it wasn’t expensive.
