I'm assuming that once Dev lost Peri as his Fairy God kid, the effects of Magical Build-up became undone as he no longer had a God kid to grant wishes for. But I feel really really bad for Peri, he tried his best with his first God kid, but damnit Jorgan, you gave him a really really hard one to start.
Well, technically in this case the season ended on an happy ending not a proper cliffhanger. It's Hailey's On It that was cancelled prematurely on a cliffhanger to a next season that will never exists. At least A New Wish ended on an happy note.
@@madcatter427 oh ok. Sure keep fairies in the family i guess. We might get a lot more trouble from dev and dale too. Crossing my fingers dale threatens to experiment on hazel.
@@entertainmentlife430 This is what I most dislike about this ending. Dev honestly needs Fairies more then Hazel. Hazel, honestly, doesn't really need fairies by the end of season 1. She's got friends, she's got her bother, all the reasons she was miserable at the start... no longer exist. Dev... Dev is still miserable, the whole reason he does all of this... is becuase of being miserable and traumatized by his father. The Rule free wish SHOULD have been for Dev to get a second chance. Dev at the end of the episode knows that his Father is never going to realy love him, which is a very hard pill to swallow. Every bad thing he's done in this series is largely due to wanting to get this father's love and attention, and is why he pushes Hazel away. Keeping Peri, for season 2 would give Dev a chance to redeem himself and find happiness outside of parental approval. Like, I know this is all of Dev's doing, and he deserves some kinda punishment... but masically forcing him to a life where he's miserable is rather harsh imo. but it also feels like Hazel using the wish on herself*, just kinda feels selfish and a bit out of character. *Yes, technically its for her friends and brother... but that's still a /her/ wanting to just not hide her fairies from them.
Dev really messed up all because he got jealous and wanted his father's attention. His father is a worthless human being. I understand why they change the rule free wish because of how Timmy handled it badly. Hope we get a season 2, hope Peri will get a new god kid or somehow Hazel and her friends will try to help Peri get Dev back if Dev can redeem himself.

Now that I think about it, the fairies getting sick for not making wishes for too long is still kinda weird, I mean not every fairy is a godparent assigned to granting wishes
I’ll make the assumption that Godparents, once they’re assigned a kid, get a power boost so they are capable of granting unlimited wishes. My guess is, the more magic they have, the quicker and more susceptible they to experience magical backup. If a godparent is not officially assigned a kid, they don’t get a magic boost, so it takes longer to experience backup.
@@trika91flying might even use up some magic, so would disguising themselves… so it makes sense that even one’s that don’t grant wishes are fairly safe against it.
I think it's not about wish but about magic, like in "magic"al backup. A wish is a form of magic, but fairies don't need it for doing magic. I think it's more "not doing enough magic" than the wishes themselves. Fairy Godparents must be binded by contract to use as little as possible magic if it isn't for their godkids. So, Perri probably restrained himself when he was with Dev. But when he realized something was off, the microship was gone so no more magic. That explains why he's earlier in his magical backup than anyone else.
Nearly at 1000 already?? GOOD JOB! 👏 I agree, the finale was definitely worth the wait. As a matter of fact, this entire season was such a great start to the franchise! I’m just praying it Nickelodeon to order more episodes! With most of its positive feedback, our chances are increased, right? 😅
One thing I could see happening in season 2 is Peri being assigned to Jasmine and Winn as their shared fairy godparent (like Timmy and Chloe in season 10) and if they bring back Sparky I could see him becoming Antony’s new pet (so he could have access to fairy magic like the rest of the gang). As for reintroducing Timmy here’s how I see it: Fairyworld has been taken over again this time by the Pixies who have managed to overrule the fairy human resource so there’s nothing anyone can do even Hazel who has a thing for documents is stumped, when Hazel inquires how they beat the Pixies before, Cosmo and Wanda reveal that it was their last two godkids Timmy and Chloe (mostly Timmy) that took down the Pixies and many other threats. Hazel wishes for them to appear, Jorgan tries to stop this because the two of them are (in his words) disaster wishers pointing out that every recent change made in Da Rules was because of them, but Wanda reminds him of the many times Timmy (and later Chloe) saved Fairyworld and he relents. Then when Timmy and Chloe appear Jorgan goes to restore their memories of fairies, only for them to reveal that they still remember everything, with a simple “hey Jorgan”. How you ask: Because of the biggest inconsistency made when their memories of fairies was wiped, how they became friends at 11, pointing out to Jorgan (in a matter of fact tone) that when they frist meet if not for them sharing Cosmo and Wanda and fixing Chloe’s first disaster wish together they would have never become friends. Timmy and Chloe go to confront the Pixies with Cosmo and Wanda temporarily reassigned to them, but rather than wishing for a solution, they look over the Pixie’s contract and find a loophole that makes the takeover null and void, and the Pixies retreat in shameful defeat. As it turns out Timmy and Chloe are the heads of the Turner and Carmichael legal firm, Chloe is a defense attorney (she’s extremely relentlessly when it comes to justice even when she was a kid) and Timmy is a contract lawyer (with how many wish loopholes he made as a kid human contracts are child’s play to him). That’s my take on what could happen in season 2 and how we meet Timmy again. Side note everyone assumes that every change in Da Rules was because of Timmy, but can you imagine them revealing that the “no godkids in Fairyworld” rule was because of and incident involving Chloe (that girl could frighten Jorgan when angry, so I wouldn’t put it past her 😂).
actually your half right but my guess is that magical build up only happens to those with godparents and since perri is on longer dev's god parent it negates the magical build up saving him.
I feel like the finale was definitely written for there to be a season 2. Like, if the show doesn't get a season 2, the finale would feel empty(idk what word to use), but if it does get a second season then I definitely think the finale was pretty good.
My hopes for S2 are 1) dale still has project h, realizes fairies are real and ends up making contact with pixies and they become the season antagonists but instead of taking over fairy world they do something different by creating new rules that stop fairies from interfering, basically the reverse of the anti fairies plan of break all rules. 2) dev has a real redemption arc, not like the, well written let's be clear, trampoline of being good, being bad of this season. And at the end accepts that his father loves only what profits him and betray him helping hazel and the gang save the day, thus proving he's a better person and getting perri or at least his memories back and a new godparent.(I know it's against the rules but I hope for a lil rule break at least for the memories) 3) Dev ditches the glasses at the end, also destroys his father boots. 4) dev mom shows up, she's waaaay better than dale and in the finale she gets custody of dev 5) real Timmy turner appears, not the not timmy 6) more old villains make an appearance or a cameo, like Francis, negachin, norm or dark laser....also some for the good guys..like marc 7) more original antagonist that are going to stick around, like cookie 8) hazel finally meets her brother "best friend at college" wink wink 9) Fred whispers and James (I think that's the museum guy name) have an episode where they discuss some theory and at the end they understand their different point of views and learn to tolerate and understand each other more
Create an episode where Devin discovers his father's dark past and learning the way he is and Devin seeking revenge on Vicky and make her suffer and make her pay for ruining his father's childhood. Second, have Timmy interact with Dale and slap some sense into him that he is no better than Vicky and has become just like her. Make Timmy have Dale open his eyes that he is no better than Vicky and Timmy telling Dale that the way he treats his son is no better than Vicky treating him in the past.
How about Dale Dimmadome teaming up with Denzel Crocker where Denzel helps Dale use magic to make himself rich in exchange for Denzel exposing the existence of fairies to the world.
Now all we need to reappear again is Chester, Francis, Mark Chang, Remy, Juandissimo, Binky, the Pixies, Norm the Genie (getting someone to replace the original VA who sadly passed away), Dark Laser, Imaginary Gary, Shallowgrave, Super Bike, the Jimmy Neutron cast Some other ideas that could be interesting were if we got to see Francis having a kid who is a miniature version of himself and a Dr. Bender grandchild (RIP Gilbert Gottfried) Also the return of the Destructinator if someone came across his head in the North Pole and decided to reactivate it. Oh and of course Super toilet.

Honestly I think it could have benefited from being an hour long. They just kind of cut to Dev already instead of it being where it sorta gradually happens. Like show how Dev meet back up with Irep instead of having Dev explain everything at the beginning. I did enjoy seeing Anti Cosmo and Anti Wanda. So I will say it is a bit unrealistic for the character of Anti-Cosmo to be so fooled by the Hazel clone. Anti-Cosmo is the opposite of Cosmo so he's supposed to be a genius essentially with maybe a bit of an ego that causes his downfall. But I did enjoy the episode and even liked the twist in the end but it just seems they crammed a lot into it when it probably should've been an hour long special
Well Cosmo is much got so smarter than in the past season of Fairly Oddparents. And since Anti-Cosmo is the opposite of Cosmo, he ended up getting dumber
Hazel made a wish that all her friends keep memories of her fairies but don't this mean Dev being that this was one of her friends would also get the memory back that he had a fairy godparent and possibly might turn them into crocker 2.0😂
Some point to clarify They stablish that fairies grant wishes one to another to prevent magical feedback, also Perry couldn't grant any wish while the big wand was inoperable PD: I just wanted to say that I LOST it with the anti Wanda joke and DEEEEEEEEEP down 😂
I wish Cosmo and Wanda were as cute in the old series as they are in the new one.🙄 I mean, Hazel already has good parents, a brother, a teacher, friends, and Timmy's parents were big assholes, he desperately needed loving parental figures, but the fairies, especially in the later seasons, sometimes act like jerks to each other and to Timmy, I understand that Timmy himself sometimes did not behave in the best way, but given the environment in which he grew up this is not surprising. Just watching the new series I felt kind of sorry for Timmy.😥
Good catch pointing out that Perry/poof was healed all of a sudden my guess is that since Dev is no longer his godchild, it also canceled out the magical backup
I didn't like the last episodes very much, especially how they closed Dev's plot, but I still hope for a season 2 and I'm curious to see what they will do with Peri now that he is no longer with Dev
Overall, I think I'm just slightly disappointed by this finale, largely due to scale. This feels like it should have been a movie; becuase it feels like too much is being shoved into too small a time. Hazel getting her millionth wish so soon, feels rushed just for the sake of the ending; keeping the original reason would have felt more organic. The conflict seems to go by too fast, and Cosmo and Wanda seem to get Magical Backup WAY too quickly, for the sake of drama when they state that Peri only got there after WEEKS of no wishing. There's just a lot of small things that annoy me. But I guess it kinda makes sense that they are trying to wrap everything up rather then leave major hanging plot threads in case they dont get another season.
the only qualm i had with this as a season finale is that it felt awfully fast to have this storyline so early in the season. but i feel i’m definitely being nitpicky- bc i’m used to the original fairly oddparents would space big events like this *far* between episodes, and the volatile nature of the animation industry right now means that it’s probably better to get a good story like this out there now rather than saving it for a hypothetical season 2 just for the show to get canned. a great finale overall, and i love how it serves as a culmination of every episode leading up to this point!
Yes but the only way they can die is if they haven't made a wish in so long they blow up like a balloon and pop fairies are indestructible creatures but they are not immune to death!
It felt more rushed than amazing in my opinion, thex could have easily taken this plot for a few episodes or a 40minute Special. Like especially from the middle to the end everything felt very quick. But maybe its just me, love the Show hope we get more.
I think they mess up on the ending, If you know nick older rulers when it comes to animated shows they avoid big changes because they like to rerun shows and make it feel like there no real order to them. with that ending kids will not understand how and why she able to just show them off now. this just me getting into the mind of nick because a lot of older nicktoons shows wasn't allowed to have a real ending to them. they bend the rules here and there but that wish is something that I think nick fear season 2 would fail because it change something big about fairly oddparents, NOW, if it was like how poof was added in with a big build-up and letting everyone know something big was coming ,they would had gotten a season 2 EASY. they just did this plot line too soon. GREAT STORY but with how nick is with toons it was the worst move to do. Disney and cartoon network would had been ok with something like this but NIck you got build slowly and make things seem like one off for a few season before dropping a storyline like this. also Danny Phantom had a big change too but only added a D logo on him and act like he always had ice powers.
Well those were the old rules for cable TV, now when most shows are designed for streaming it's different. And yes I know this was first aired on cable, but even Nickelodeon now earns most money by licencing out to streaming.
@MoonPhantom I agree, but Nick track records of that rule had never really changed. Avatar and cgi tmnt are the only shows that were able to get away with it. Avatar had it story plan mostly from the start, and it was a safe move for Nick compared to Adventure time that was not pick up because it was a risky move. Tmnt had weird stories in the past and was ok with taking risk with it at the time. Nick has some type of system in place that hurts itself.
So how long DOES magical backup take to set in? Peri was still hanging on despite not granting a wish in weeks, yet cosmo and Wanda were about to pop despite granting wishes only a few hours ago? Also it's possible we haven't seen the last of Dev. Jorgen gave Juandissimo back to Remy after he had his memory wiped so that could be the case with dev and Peri too
I saw the finale, it was awesome to see Hazel's happy ending. Peri can still hang out with Hazel and her friends and brother considering that he's still Cosmo and Wanda's kid right?
Honestly if there was a season two I hope they continue to bring back old characters I was wondering where sparky went not to mention the pixies if I'm the only one remembered them

Hazel made a wish that all her friends keep memories of her fairies but don't this mean Dev being that this was one of her friends would also get the memory back that he had a fairy godparent and possibly might turn them into crocker 2.0😂
Or possibly he could seek out Peri and want to make amends? Idk, wishful (ha) thinking.
Maybe in season 2 he will be the new crocker
I loved this finale
Les gooo im first
Some point to clarify They stablish that fairies grant wishes one to another to prevent magical feedback, also Perry couldn't grant any wish while the big wand was inoperable
PD: I just wanted to say that I LOST it with the anti Wanda joke and DEEEEEEEEEP down 😂
Nice vid as always also yay 1k subs
My day one friend! Thank you Kree!!!! :)
You're really good at explaining the show, I'll subscribe🙂👍
They’d better bring back Timmy bruh in season 2 as a surprise.
I definitely agree with you
I wish Cosmo and Wanda were as cute in the old series as they are in the new one.🙄 I mean, Hazel already has good parents, a brother, a teacher, friends, and Timmy's parents were big assholes, he desperately needed loving parental figures, but the fairies, especially in the later seasons, sometimes act like jerks to each other and to Timmy, I understand that Timmy himself sometimes did not behave in the best way, but given the environment in which he grew up this is not surprising. Just watching the new series I felt kind of sorry for Timmy.😥
Dang wow
The Anti-Fairies are back.
Floop is more powerful than i thorough
Amazing video!
Peri needed a season two who was begging
Good catch pointing out that Perry/poof was healed all of a sudden my guess is that since Dev is no longer his godchild, it also canceled out the magical backup
Waiting for the episodes to be released online, such an amazing show 🥺❤️
They prob removed the muffin bc it tasted so bad (jokes aside, amazing video! Keep up the amazing work!) edit: 2:56 made me chuckle
i remember you only having around 500 subscribers, you're growing already bro
Anti cosmo and wanda has returned
Why did anti cosmo listen to anti wanda
I wonder if peri was fixed due to loosing his godkid, maybe he was transfered to hazel
I wonder if hazel’s rule free wish will mean she will 4get her fairies but her friends will still remember.
Anti Wanda holding the book upside down was the best joke
I wish that the finale was at least 40 minutes or one hour long, 20 minutes was definitely too short
I didn't like the last episodes very much, especially how they closed Dev's plot, but I still hope for a season 2 and I'm curious to see what they will do with Peri now that he is no longer with Dev
I am shipping Dev x Hazel
I really hope there's a season 2, I really hope
It would be if Anti mama cosma , anti jorgon where in this version
Well, that was quick.
Ofcourse is not Timmy, is the Timmy clone.
It's great to see each the side characters return in this version
I thinknit be funny if Timmy comes back, looking like that one alternate future version of himself, and is like Hazel's new teacher or something.
dale and the pixies would make an amazing antagonist combo
the only qualm i had with this as a season finale is that it felt awfully fast to have this storyline so early in the season. but i feel i’m definitely being nitpicky- bc i’m used to the original fairly oddparents would space big events like this *far* between episodes, and the volatile nature of the animation industry right now means that it’s probably better to get a good story like this out there now rather than saving it for a hypothetical season 2 just for the show to get canned. a great finale overall, and i love how it serves as a culmination of every episode leading up to this point!
One thing hazels freinds will know about fairy’s FOREVER while hazel will grow out of them
When magical backup was introduced in the og series, I don't think they treated it as this horrific life-ending condition.
If poof died, would floop die?
Yes but the only way they can die is if they haven't made a wish in so long they blow up like a balloon and pop fairies are indestructible creatures but they are not immune to death!
Likely
It’s Foop! Not Floop!
Um actually (pushes up glasses annoyingly) it’s Peri and Irep now. /j
Most likely
Is anti Wanda still dumb? Because regular Wanda is no longer defined by being smart in a new wish
It felt more rushed than amazing in my opinion, thex could have easily taken this plot for a few episodes or a 40minute Special.
Like especially from the middle to the end everything felt very quick.
But maybe its just me, love the Show hope we get more.
I like the video! The finale was epic!
It took Hazel 1 year, and it took Timmy 50 years
This one is Cloned
0:42 nah it was more of a reference to Timmy's Secret Wish
Am now your fan
4:47 how the hell was he supposed to do that? without the big wand providing power to Peri’s wand he can’t grant any wish.
I love your videos
The finally was pretty good but I'm a little bugged by its pacing
Yeah, go make season 2
So how long DOES magical backup take to set in? Peri was still hanging on despite not granting a wish in weeks, yet cosmo and Wanda were about to pop despite granting wishes only a few hours ago?
Also it's possible we haven't seen the last of Dev. Jorgen gave Juandissimo back to Remy after he had his memory wiped so that could be the case with dev and Peri too
I feel like season 2 should just have it that hiding faries is once again a secret because i don’t think the way it ended would work
Chip Skylark and the Pixies are coming back
If they dont make a season 2, they are fumbling HARD with this show😂
I saw the finale, it was awesome to see Hazel's happy ending. Peri can still hang out with Hazel and her friends and brother considering that he's still Cosmo and Wanda's kid right?
Cosmo and Wanda need to teach Dev a good lesson
Dev can't make a wish because the big wand is compromised. Hazel could only make the wish after the chip was on again
Just got a new sub! :3
Why is Foop's head square? I thought they wouldn't go that route since anti cosmo and anti Wanda do not have square heads
Yeah, right? Just like Peri's/Poof's head isn't spherical (since he's not a baby anymore), neither are Cosmo's and Wanda's heads.
With all that’s happened so far I’m liking hazel as a protagonist
Honestly if there was a season two I hope they continue to bring back old characters I was wondering where sparky went not to mention the pixies if I'm the only one remembered them
Nope
No spoilers but yes spoilers
OK, it’s gonna be good
Also it could be could to see the Genies and Jorgen Von Strangle wife the Tooth fairy
Never understood the rulle free wish like just wish the rules don't ever apply to you
We need a season 2 feat. Timmy
Exactly
I would eat the muffin and fairy catastrophe
Will Timmy turner appear in season 2
I hope so
I’m pretty sure if you don’t make wishes and you’re about to die I think what happens is if you lose your God kid you’re back to normal
i thought dev was gonna be vicky in disguise all along in my prediction ps crocker is still gonna remember lol
the way i see it Fairly OddParents: A New Wish is a sequel that was done right for the series :) heres hoping it does get aseason 2 but thats WISHFUL THINKING NOW isn't it?!? XDDDD
foop season 2 confirmed???
Okay, why is revealed magic to the world bad again??
Also, interesting to see Dev's dad being so chill with the anti-fairies.
If we do get a session two i just hope the pixies will make their return
