Panic attacks and Anxiety Attacks are two very different feelings I would know I have both one is caused based on ptsd hence a panic attack which is a feeling of you being stuck in your head reliving that past moment as for an anxiety attack it can be triggered by anything from interacting with someone to simply you forgot to do something or even simply making a mess now yes this to an extent can be triggered due to traumatic events also but anxiety is just a whole other level your aware of everything around you and you can just end up sobbing heavily to try and release the built up pressure when I have a panic attack I'm not aware of anything im so caught up like I'm reliving the moment over again and that sucks what Riley has is an anxiety attack not a panic attack she's literally thinking about how she super messed up and that there's no way to fix it again the theme of being aware yes the hyperventilating can cause a similar feeling of being trapped in your mind I've had that happen also but that's mainly hey your losing oxygen so yeah also panic attacks happen immediately and out of no where anxiety attacks are built up as shown through the whole movie of Riley trying to be cool so she can join them only for the reality of the situation that she messed up to come crashing down on her

I saw inside out 2 in theaters with 2 of my friends. I actually started crying at riley's panic attack scene, because as someone with a panic disorder, I feel like it was a really realistic representation of what me and so many others go through. Was kind of embarrassing to start crying infront of my friends though lol

When i watched the panic attack in inside out 2, i honestly teared up from how accurate it was
