Gower for his smooth voice. Lawry for his ability to make small moments feel big. And Athers and Nasser for their intelligent insights and ability to match the flow of the game. The ones who I'd keep away are Mark Nicolas and Harsha, who both annoy me with their often antagonistic nature and incorrect viewpoints (sometimes I swear they aren't even watching the game half the time but looking at notes or something).

Our Indian commentators say they eat, drink and sleep cricket but they're hardly interested in first class cricket outside India. If you're a genuine cricket nerd, you'll always appreciate talent and do your homework to know more about the game.
Sadly, Indian broadcasters aren't interested in doing any homework because they know that as long as they toe the BCCI line and sing praises of Indian talent on show during a game, they don't need to work any harder than that. Their paycheque is sorted.
