  • Five people have been charged for various offenses contributing to Matthew Perry’s ketamine death. Though Matthew’s personal assistant has already plead guilty to a relatively minor federal charge after administering the final fatal dose, could the state seek even more serious punishment? Trial attorney Misty Marris, who is not affiliated with the case, weighs in on the assistant’s plea agreement and what could come next.

Matty is not here to tell his side of the story. It’s not fair to bad mouth him. He had an extremely hard life and it saddens me he’s not here today. I’m not going to sit here and say he was a saint but to believe what the person responsible says as fact when he’s trying to get out of a murder charge is insane. Why weren’t there any reports of needle markings? I’m having a very hard time believing he wanted to be shot up. It is colorless, odorless and tasteless. It could’ve been put into his drink. I won’t ever believe he slipped back into addiction after everything he overcame, even when he was on deaths door. Everything they’ve “uncovered” could have very well been done without his knowledge! If you supply the drugs, you’re guilty as well. People don’t just procure these drugs from nowhere. There are multiple ppl involved moving and distributing these drugs and they are also to blame. To say he deserved it is sickening. Drug dealers should be charged accordingly.

Good points. I'm also concerned by his Instagram posts. On Oct 22, 2023, he posted numerous posts with the bat signal and captions like "do you understand what I mean?" (they are still up) Several possible interpretations, but i wonder if he was trying to ask for help. On the 22nd, his supply would have been winding down and his assistant got the next big batch of 25 vials on the 23rd (from indictment). Maybe he had some lucidity to try to ask for help before a bunch more drugs came in. It is unclear to me if Matt was a willing participant, or even if he started off wanting some, did he mean to have so much. No matter what, it is disgusting that his assistant gave him 2 injections in an hour and then left him unsupervised in a jacuzzi. He could have called someone to help Matt. To me, there are many unanswered questions and I wonder how much danger Matt knew he was in, in the days/weeks before his death. It's tragic.

    Who cares!!
He was a drug addict on wheels and he died from a drug overdose; one that he asked for every day he made the decision to use that shit!!
He involved all these other people! Why is he being treated like a damn victim! There are victims in his life, I am sure, but he's not one of them.
He asked people to shoot him up and they shot him up, he died because of it.
He's no f#cking hero, and the people involved aren't all bad people, he involved these people they weren't using drugs themselves. Everyone knows that Hollywood is parasitic, you're some big actor with a nice house and a lot of money, of course you're going to be able to easily convince people to shoot you up or get you drugged or any other damn thing you want, look at Michael Jackson. That was his fault too, nobody ever wants to blame the person that did it everyone wants to blame all the people around them. Insidious and it's sickens me.

had no chance for long term sobriety surrounded by greedy enablers. You can never get better in the same environment that made you ill. He deserves some credits because his commitment to sobriety was unwavering and ever took his sobriety for granted, but unfortunately he was surrounded by toxic people exploiting his struggles
