Your AT trek was a lot of fun to watch. The CDT is an even greater adventure. Glad I'm able to follow you all this year. You all were fortunate to have Bailey to find you and get you out of that particular problem. Carry on, ladies. :)
This area is awesome. So many water sources for you. The scenery is really pretty. Pesky is really sneaky putting her food in Lynn's bag. Shame on her. Those burgers looked so delicious 😋 I'm happy that you enjoyed them and some pie. They were well deserved. Can't wait for more of this adventure. Love you three ❤
Love the video. Again, very inspirational, you Ladies. I know you are cautious. But,may I suggest maybe picking up a section of rope for the next couple of weeks of water crossings? You can always ditch it when the melt has subsided.
Amazing and beautiful ,, The Wind River Range is Awesome,, and you three (or is it four ?) Are pushing through so well. . Thank You for sharing your adventure ... I'm not aware of how many hikers tackled CDT or PCT in this flip-top manor ,, but it seems to me to be a bonus of sights with the better weather and trail conditions...........Stay Safe and God Bless.......
After several hours of hiking those icy creeks feel so good. Take off your shoes and walk on the smooth stones. they will massage your feet and they will feel like new. Love that country. Happy wanderings
Keep up the good addatude your all are a blessing to us! Thank You ! I love 💘to watch you all on your journey ! Someday I will tell you your nicknames I have for you all I had them from the start for ya all! Lol
Oh my Gosh!! You 3 are so awesome!! You are showing us scenary that we most likely will never see!! Its remote and rugged but you are getting it done! Wow so impressed with you and thank you so much for taking us along!! What an epic adventure its turning out to be!! ❤
There are a couple of classic backpacking loops in the Wind Rivers (Knapsack Col or Cirque of the Towers) that perhaps the Hiking Mamas might want to join us on sometime in the future. A late July to early September time frame would be beautiful and w/out all the snowed-in trails.
You ladies WIN RUclips! Love your vlogs, your positive attitudes and alway embracing the suck with gusto! I am 61 and backpack the Olympics which are in my back yard, so I know what challenging conditions are. My husband and I are doing the Winds in early September. It’s been on my bucket list for a long time, thanks for the gorgeous preview!
What a great adventure watching you ladies. Watched your AT hike as well. Im a retired old Sailor who has only managed to backpack the AT in the Northeast. Continue on I will watch from N.E.
I’m binging the feral cats tonight. What a relief to see y’all out of the basin. That was painful to watch. I can’t imagine how it would be to experience it.
Wow. The beauty is unreal. Absolutely breathtaking. Glad yall made it through and thankful the angels were there for you!! The trail provides.❤ continued blessings!! Pesky.. carry your own weight!!! 😆
This is a tough area!! You three are awesome. Thanks for pack weight answer. In 1966 I worked on a summer job on a ranch near Pinedale. The ranch was 5 miles by 10 miles. On Saturday we got off an hour early to go into Pinedale. I wasn't old enough to go to the bars, so I went to the movie. One of the movies that summer was "The Blue Max"; I would later become an Air Force pilot and have forever enjoyed this movie and that summer job stacking hay. Pinedale in 1966 had a population of about 1,000 people. Jim Bridger was in this area in 1824. I can't thank you enough for taking us along through this beautiful area and dredging up my old memories. I saw those vehicles at the trailhead--I would have driven you into town!! Can't wait to see the next part.
Wind River Range is absolutely stunning to say the least. I was OMGing the whole way thru that vlog. I can't believe how much water crossing you are having to do. You certainly are challenging yourselves and "finding your wild" on that trail. Pesky is getting slick but she got what she deserved LOL when she opened her food bag? Thank God for all the trail angels out there you are running into who help out along the way!!! I think that was my fav vlog of yours of all time for the views alone.
After a sleepless night (worries about my husband who is worried that he is too old to hike. He’s 69 and just had a bad day) and thinking of something happening to one of y’all “older” person’s, second the idea of you getting a SPOT. That would make all of us feel better! You are all so awesome!! Beautiful country!
OMG i have so much respect for you ladies, you are my heroes. That is quite impressive of a feat. At least its beautiful!!! Wow just wow💪👏👏👏 Amazing!!!! Congratulations!!!
I enjoyed your video and thank you for sharing the YT channel, ParkTrek , for the guy & his wife who gave y'all a ride into Pinedale. I see u published this video to YT on June 27, 2020... I am now watching the rest of the CDT20 thruhike…. I know y’all r on another adventure now , 8-4-22, so I will be asking u some questions later about CDT. FYI, I found a video entitled "Middle Teton Summit" and u should look at the footage at the 03:56 mark on this ParkTrek channel. Thx for ur video as I research for a CDT hike, maybe 2023.
You gals are awesome. Your videos are wonderful and I so enjoy every video you post, and pesky just makes me laugh. The Wind River Range is a special place. My husband and I are going backpacking for the 3 rd time coming up in the middle of August. Stay safe !!!!
I watched today with my mom. She was commenting on how cold the water crossings must be with the snow melting. Great video and the winds are beautiful!
What challenges and beauty. I wanna hike with you three. Love your grit, positive attitudes and determination. Isnt it amazing how a good night's rest and your body is ready to go again. You are inspirational. Enjoy your journey.
OMG, the family with the pack goats! Loved it!! Lot of water crossings...Phil was wondering if it was the same river, over and over. Please give Lynn a hug from me. That fall didn't look like fun. Annette, your hat/Buff game is on point. Love the views. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible journey. Love you guys!
@@lynnedmiston5237 Glad you're ok from the fall...looked so stinking cold tho. And then the next morning as you guys were standing there talking before starting out...we were shivering right along with you! Loving following you guys!
We are enjoying your videos when we get to town. Currently in Atlantic City now leaving tomorrow. Hope to catch up and meet you all someday. We’re slow going right now, just started in Rawlins. Happy trails! -Timber
The Mountains! The trees (especially the Aspen trees! The trail looks somewhat better marked in this section. I hope Lynn isn't real sore from that little fall. Those water crossings look scary. Be safe!
WOW, the scenery is awesome. It looks so demanding and you don't complain. I love that about all 3 of you. I can't imagine how your bodies keep going. I hate to say "at your ages" but, I have to be honest, it is quite amazing. All the water crossings were an adventure and you all have great balance. Glad Lynn is OK after her fall. How do you know where the trail is, I see no markers. Do you use GPS or what? What a challenge!!!!!! Can't wait for next video. Take care, be safe.
When we're on the CDT itself we use our Guthooks app. It shows our location with a blue dot so we can find our way--sounds easier than it sometimes is. 🤔 Unfortunately, when we have to hike off trail to access a trailhead we lose the Guthooks ability.
Love that you stop along the way, so worth it! You said spring, snd I realize you filmed this before Im watching by as much as two months maybe, guessing June? Its a good idea to have a delay posting I think, so your incognito as women on trail!
It’s so weird following people on the AT who are practically (in some cases literally 😆) hiking naked and I flip over to y’all in your puffies and fleece hats. Beautiful scenery, take care!
Here in Columbus, Ohio it’s 93 . Going to be in the 90’s for the next two weeks . Love you gals , your awesome 💜🌸💜🌸💜🌸💜🙏🏻 Love hearing the Spring Peepers 🐸🐸🐸 How do you keep from getting frost bite especially on your toes ?
Oh my gosh I love y'all.....I would give anything to spend a week out with yall. Wait did I say a week, maybe four days, 3, 2, I'm sure it would kick my a** though.
Your AT trek was a lot of fun to watch. The CDT is an even greater adventure. Glad I'm able to follow you all this year. You all were fortunate to have Bailey to find you and get you out of that particular problem. Carry on, ladies. :)

For sure the vistas are amazing, but your sure-footedness is something to be admired. So many river crossings!!
There are a couple of classic backpacking loops in the Wind Rivers (Knapsack Col or Cirque of the Towers) that perhaps the Hiking Mamas might want to join us on sometime in the future. A late July to early September time frame would be beautiful and w/out all the snowed-in trails.

The water is raging off of the mountains and down into the valleys from snow melt. In a month most of the water crossings won't exist.
Thanks Detour, it was several different rivers. I'm ok from the fall. Scraped my knee later! Ha ha
Amazing. What a difference from the basin. Water. Cold. Climbs. Really lovely.

When we're on the CDT itself we use our Guthooks app. It shows our location with a blue dot so we can find our way--sounds easier than it sometimes is. 🤔 Unfortunately, when we have to hike off trail to access a trailhead we lose the Guthooks ability.

Cool scenery. Looks like you guys are the only ones walking the trail. 😊
We only met about 10 people in 3 weeks.
The scenery is breathtaking there. Y’all are my hero’s. I hiked this weekend just about 13 miles and I can hardly move lol
That is so beautiful up there I almost can’t believe it, it’s like your hiking through a postcard! I gotta go up there.

I'm not sure if there is an access point that is closer but it was about 30 miles in from the Elkhart Trailhead.
