I made this for dinner tonight and it totally rocked. Such a simple recipe, but everyone loved it. The meat is super tender and it’s better than any I’ve had elsewhere. Thanks, Seongyoung!
I started trying your recipes a few months ago and I love them and watching you cook. I added fresh ginger to your recipe and it was spot on! Now it tastes better than any restaurant. Thank you for posting this! Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing more from you!
I have only just come across this method, after also coming across the 'velveting' method as well. I have never had such tender beef, and this combination of mongolian beef (one of several favourite dishes) came out better than any takeaway ever! Cooking up my second go as we speak. I would suggest adding red caps and red onion to the mix, and it makes it even more awesome!
I've made this recipe several times now. It rocks! I'm an ex-pat American living in the Basque Country. This recipe reminds me of the mongolian beef I would eat in San Francisco! Thanks for all the great food ideas!
Growing up there was this one Chinese restaurant I went to for years because the way they made Mongolian Beef was my favorite. I made this recipe and its nearly identical. Being able to replicate a favorite dish is such an awesome feeling. Plus the way you do your videos make it very simple for novice cooks. Thank you!
I just have to subscribed for the first time ever after making this for dinner today. My husband and I absolutely loved it! I am surprised this hasn't reached a million plus views. You should have a cookbook and I will buy it! Next, I will be making the chicken chow mein and I have no doubt it will be very tasty! Thank you so much Mrs. Longest!
I only started a short time ago to cook Aisan stir-fry. I would like to say your instructive videos are hands down my favorite. I appreciate your instruction and you have brought this rookie chef a long way. Although there are others I watch, I always look for your dishes to start. Thank you and brava!
I made this tonight and it was AWESOME! So simple, yet so scrumptious. I added a few whole Thai chilies and charred them before I added the garlic & they are wonderful. Just enough spice. Thanks so much!
Hope you see this as it would seem I am a bit behind the times looking at how long ago everyone else found it. I have to say it was an amazing meal, so simple and yet bloomin' lovely. Thanks for sharing it with us. I will definitely be trying some more of you ideas, keep them coming.
I made this today after I saw a similar recipe for Mongolian beef on Facebook. I had to check if you had a video for it you did! I made it tonight and it was so good. I was surprised how simple it was, and how good it tasted. Thank you for making these videos, you brighten my world every day♥️
I made this tonight for our dinner..it was just amazing. I added a bit of julien carrot to ours as my daughter loves carrots. It was the best dinner we have had in a while...lovely recipe ❤
Made this last evening. Came out wonderful! I used chuck roast cut of beef and the texture was soft and velvety, very very tender. At first felt the sweetness was too much, but with rice it's amazing - a keeper in my recipes. Thank you!
so i was looking for something to do with my pork chops but found this and got inspired. so i cut the pork chops into one inch cubes and then used your marinating except instead of the chinese cooking wine i used a sake cooking wine. I then used a sweet onion instead of the green onions (love green onions but didn't have any on hand) i fallowed the rest of the recipe to a T except i added about a teaspoon of samba into the souse with the sugar water and soy souse. Then i put it on top of some instant jasmine rice. I wanted to share this for those of your fans who really love pork and needed something new to do with there pork chops plus it turned out AMAZING!!
Just made this tonight... IT WAS AMAZING! best recipe I have tried for Mongolian beef. It's so simple but so flavorful! Seriously half an hour after eating I am still going yum!
OMG just tried this recipe last night and instagram was amazing. We are big fans of PF changs. And this recipe blows their Mongolian beef out of the water! Love it. Thank you for posting this
I made this tonight. Excellent! My wife called it fantastic. She said it rivals her favorite Mongolian Beef at our favorite restaurant. Thank you Seonkyoung. I look forward to preparing more of your recipies!
I have tried your Beijing Beef before and it was a hit! Now I will be trying this recipe for lunch. I just love your recipes and ingredients are so easy to find... in my pantry. Thank you so much for sharing
I made this tonight and it was a HUGE hit! I also added about 1/2 cup of carrots. Thank you so much for demystifying this dish - its now added to my repertoire. I couldn't make up my mind between this and the beef and broccoli so i improvised and made the broccoli (no beef) as a side dish - Amazing how the baking soda works its magic :-) thank you Seonkyoung!
Made this for dinner earlier, i put brown sugar instead of white sugar.. Oh my!! So delicious, my husband loved it! Thanks for the recipe! Love from Singapore!
My husband loves Mongolian beef , now I know how you make it.. So I will make some during this week.. Thanks for share ...🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it looks so delicious. 😀😋
I finally tried making it and its surprisingly delicious. I thought in the beginning wow the soy sauce mix seems to be so much, but once it adsorbed its all the flavor inside the beef is amazing. I enjoy making your recipe and glad to be your new subscriber. I didnt eat it immediately but its equally delicious.
Seonkyoung! This looks freaking delicious..... Jacob is a lucky guy to be eating and tasting all of your recipes! I am surprised that he stays so fit! Once again, your recipe is awesome, and thank you for posting. I hope you are always happy and healthy with your family!!!!!!
Hi Seonkyoung! I am a German woman married to a Japanese guy and we live in Santa Fe, NM USA....how's THAT for international? :) I made this for dinner tonight and my husband said he thought he died and went to heaven :) It is so DELICIOUS!!!!!! THANK YOU for the great recipe and making it so easy to follow!
I was surprised how easy/simple this recipe really was. I made this today and substituted just a little bit of vinegar instead of wine and added a little bit of ginger, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. It was delicious and everyone was happy. Thank you very much!
This was so tasty! I added dried red chilies because we're used to Mongolian Beef being spicy, which we love. We don't cook with alcohol so we skipped the wine. Still tasted amazing! My husband told me to add it to his "favorites" list. Thanks Seonkyoung! Love you and your videos!
I love your happy go lucky attitude it's awesome and positive love your videos ,I have tired your lo main recipes and it was so good omg my family loved it so tonight I am trying this recipe out thank you so much keep the recipes coming !!
I made this for dinner. It was delicious. I had mushroom soy sauce though, which is dark soy sauce, so I used that. The meat was suuuper tender. I will definitely make this again. I love your recipes.
I made this recipe and was surprised how easy it was to make (and quick). It turned out awesome!. I will definitely make it again. Definitely better than any I have had in take out restaurnts!
I just cooked this dish after watching the video. OMG! it tasted so good. My family loved it and so now I guess we don't have to buy Mongolian Beef take-out food, yeah..! Thank you soooo...much Seonkyoung for sharing this recipe.
Ok, I made this recipe, to the letter, everything as instructed. And all I can say is WOW!!!! This was so awesome!!!! Even better than Chinese take out!!!! It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! Seonkyoung...I love your channel and have cooked so many of your recipes! Each one as been FANTASTIC and I am so appreciative. Question...Can you tell me where to get a wok exactly like the one you are using in this video? I really like it. Thanks so much!
I couldn't find the wine she used at Safeway. I used a cooking white wine to help me in a pinch. I also added 1/2 table spoon of dried chopped hot peppers to add some heat and a small amount of finely chopped Ginger root. My son is picky and he raved about this recipe and had seconds and asked if I would make it again tomorrow. LOL Thank you for posting such a great recipe!!!!
Greetings from Ireland. Another great recipe, really great instruction and easy to follow - thanks for sharing - Love the channel - keep up the fantastic work
I had this for dinner and it was awesome. I took a pic of it but am not sure how to upload it onto this site. Also, since I have a love of mushrooms, I added some. Definitely worth a try.
Hi seongkyoung . I just did my Mongolian beef using your guide and recipe and it was really good Thankyou for this simple ways of cooking video . It’s very amazing 💕
this recipe is seriously amazing! I couldn't help but slip in some ginger and and handful of sliced baby bellas though. Season your rice, and mushrooms! Otherwise, it was perfect everything. 😍😍😍
OMG! So good! I added sambal and red pepper flakes and also onions to the recipe! So dang good! Put on top of restaurant bought chow mien lol I couldn’t afford to do that at home! So bomb! A
I love this recipe, you made it very good.it looks soo good. I made it today following every step you showed.but when I fried the beef, it became hard like wood. It was a lot of beef and I felt so disappointed cuz it was not eatable. The taste was good but it was soo hard to chew☹️. Maybe I shouldn't have deep fried it.
I made this for dinner tonight. My boyfriend and I ate it with rice and we agreed this was one of the best things we ever ate! The meat was zo incredibly tender! Yum yum

+Seonkyoung Longest Something I've always wondered. My local takeout place has both Mongolian Beef and something called Hot Spicy Beef. And to me it tastes just like Mongolian Beef, but with dried Thai chilies in it. It's by far my favorite dish. I was just wondering if they were the same dish?
