Lisa you are a darling! Since listening to your story I've had so many A HA moments. Moving to carnivore, kind of elimination style. It's great! Ignore all the haters, we live in our own bodies! I knew a woman with Crohn's disease and she would be hospitalised if she ate vegetables or fruit. So, everyone has their own unique needs. Blessings to you and your loved ones. Antonia (in London)
Hey Lisa, after following you for a year I tried the carnivore diet and I’m now coming up on the 2 year anniversary of the most successful change I’ve ever made! I tell friends and family it feels like I’m reverse aging and I’m having my 60th birthday next week. Thank you for being brave enough to share the info and being an independent thinker!!!!!!!! Wishing you all the best ❤️❤️❤️
Lisa, I'm also carnivore and when I go out to eat and place my order, I tell them I have a food allergy. Because it is. If your food is not right you will get sick. If my meat is cooked in seed oil and notin butter I know l'm going to be sick the next 3-4 days with swollen joints and ibs symptoms. So tell them its a food allergy. That is what Dr. Ken Berry says.
I call it a special diet but it's actually true since I still have digestion damagegoing on. I had to start this to eliminate mostly sugar, seedoil & grains bc of the reactions happening. I didn't recognize the early signs of trouble for at least 8+ months 😓Just cutting all that stuff out for 6 weeks has been making huge changes for the better but it's not 'fixed' yet.
As a former vegan, I never thought I could eat meat, just seeing someone eat meat would make me nauseous. Then after doing a deep dive down a rabbit hole on the internet to try to get to the root cause of all of my illnesses (Dr's could not help me, only prescribe drugs), I discovered that my veg diet was keeping me ill and eating meat was my answer to recovery. It was a complete lifestyle change but I have none of the issues that I thought was going to kill me 16 months ago!
Low carb then keto and carnivore has allowed me to get off 6 meds, lose over 55 pounds. No longer have PMDD, no depression, no longer a binge eater. Yes I recovered from 15 years of binge aging and the simplicity and nutrition of the carnivore way of eating has given my mind and body the space to no longer turn to food for emotional support. When you accept and recognize that FOOD IS MEDICINE, that’s when you actually start to heal and no longer chase the dream of not being sick. Protein & fat is where I will always be at.
I actually call myself a Ketovore- I mostly eat meat with some low card veggies once in a while- I am 65 years old - have lost 165lbs - just had blood work and my numbers are perfect!!! I live in The Villages and I eat out all the time!
Hear!! Hear!! My parents raised us as carnivores, and I’ve never had a joint pain. I’ve never sick, I have the most beautiful skin and thickest hair and I just focused on animal products. I love Lisa‘s, gentle approach. Try it, it it’s not for you all good.
I found your channel searching for carnivore diet. You inspired me. I started last April. I am down 32 lbs! 66 years old and never felt better! Thank you for sharing ❤
I don't understand why people get so woundup about this, it's everyones own business what they eat and why. There is no "one way" for everyone to eat bc we're all different and it's nobody's business but your own. If a food causes a problem, we'll deal with it.
@@nottoday3666people get so wound up due to the very deep brainwashing that has gone on for decades by the dr.s nutritional advisors etc. if we all learn how to heal ourselves from major money makers like type 2 diabetes, IBS, and so many other chronic ailments …think about how many people are having hip and knee replacement surgeries in their late 40’s early 50’s. It is not in their best financial interest for us to learn how to heal our bodies and then how to maintain a healthy body, so…they go on the attack. Big pHarma hire 1000’s of people to just go on line to create drama, to try and discourage people to try and put fear into those who suggest maybe they will try this way of living. It’s awful but they are loosing their fight and they know it. Everyday more and more people discover the truth about what foods do to our body and how changing our diet can literally heal MANY illnesses. Their is a lot of information available on the web now that allows people to educate themselves if they should want to get at the truth., and of course they don’t like this and retaliate with more paid bots n trolls trying to dissuade people from trying to change their diets and just see what happens .
When I started Carnivore/Ketovore it took me just a week to realise that everyone is different. Most famous Carnivores drink coffee, yet I had to quit it within my first week. Broccoli gets loads of hate, but I can eat it once in a while woth no problems, and even wheat doesn't hurt me too badly if the baked goodies are made without chemicals and with high quality eggs and butter. Carnivore diet is a way of discovering what your body needs to be healthy, it is different for everyone. My wife can eat fermented foods, while I can't. I can have strawberries in season, while she'll get inflamed. We just need to be kind to each other and let ourselves work out what is best for us.
I started the carnivore diet in January and I’m feeling so good. I can’t wait to see how I’m going to be feeling 3, 6, 9 more months from now. I’m already sleeping better, my digestion has improved and no more acid reflux! 🙏🏻
I'm with you. I have cancer and Dr. Seyfried has indicated that the lack of sugar (or food that turn into sugar) will help kill the cancer cells. Good for your Lisa. You are so smart.
You are so kind to try to help people with their questions regarding this subject. So many times people ask questions and never get a response. I have gut issues as well and I find when I eat close to a carnivore diet and really watch what I am eating, there is a huge difference in how I feel. The nap thing is real and I love taking naps. LOL. When I am eating better, I don't do that at all. I can see eating this way to feel better and if you lose weight that is a great bonus. Thanks for the chat!
I remember doing the Atkins diet many years ago and felt wonderful and then my doctor had a fit and told me I would ruin my kidneys and should stop immediately. It scared me so much, I stopped. If I only would have trusted what my body was telling me then, I would have not chased the perfect diet for year after year.
I REALLY dislike fatty meats. I do not tolerate blobs of meat fat in my mouth. It's a texture issue. To combat that, I incorporate lots of different ketovore mayos (they have a tad of vinegar and mustard), eat lots of eggs, we smoke our own pork belly then fry until crispy and save the drippings for scrambled eggs. I also nibble a tbs of grass fed butter or browned butter. Lots of egg salad or shredded meat/poultry mixed with carnivore mayo, deviled eggs with a sprinkle of dill, cheeseburgers with mayo and bacon, shrimp or chicken with lots of butter, some cream and parmesan. If liquid fats cause loose stools, eat the fat cold. Start building fat tolerance a little at a time especially if you don't have a gallbladder. If you suspect you have low stomach acid, maybe try digestive enzymes for meat and fat, oxbile, or hcl if it's warranted until you are fat adapted and when your body sorts itself out. You may not lose weight right away, depending on how bad your metabolic system has become. I started at 90/10 protein to fat and went to 70/30 eventually, but now I'm 80/20 as that's where I feel the best. Sorry I wrote a book, just sharing in case it helps someone that also doesn't like fatty meat.
I enjoyed watching this video. You made some excellent points. This is day 101 for me on carnivore. This is the second time you’ve come up in my feed. The first time you were unapologetically talking about breaking the rules. We are very different people. I’m 67, retired, black, and not at all girlie. I like the way you talk about how carnivore works for you in a laid back non preachy way.
I have been a vegetarian for 26 years; I have received negative comments constantly for 26 years. I am with you; I don’t argue or try to convince them to eat the way I eat. I honestly don’t care how someone else eats… doesn’t affect me one bit. Everyone needs to do what they feel is best for their body and health. I feel 100% better not eating meat, plus I never liked meat, made me have stomach pains.
People should look into blood type diet. Not everyone is meant to eat meat especially exclusively just meat. O blood types for example do well eating meat as we have higher stomach acidity so braking down meat is no problem. Other blood types don’t do as well eating meat. So carnivore definitely is not for everyone. I am O blood type but i love my vegetables and fruit. What carnivores are ignoring is that the vegetables for example the fiber is cleansing our colon so very necessary to a healthy elimination. The reason there is a rapid rise in colon cancer is due to lot of people jumping on this strict carnivore diet and swearing off any vegetables and fruit. Yes you will be ok for few years until it catches up with you because your colon has a nasty build up which is a perfect home for polyps and cancer to fester in. If we look back to our ancestors we wouldn’t see these crazy diets they mostly ate balanced diet of all food groups.
Thanks Lisa, I really enjoy your videos on Carnivore. I am a Jazz singer and musician, almost 5 years in and of course had and still have my struggles once in a while. So it always feels good to hear a sister reminding oneself of the imortance to stick to what feels best and that I am not the only one dealing with these experiences when you are on the road and have to find your way. Keep going and growing. Thanks and blessings! 🥩❤️🎶🥩
Hi! Curious to know if your voice has improved at all? I am in my mid 50’s and I am so sad to be losing all of my upper register. Of course, I am not using that muscle regularly either, but I have hoarseness in my voice now even when talking (not vocal chord nodules) but I am almost 100% sure that this is due to digestive issues. Thanks!
Hi Lisa, I watched your videos a while ago and then couldn't find you so now am subscribed! I am one of those people who struggles eating meat. Was a vegan in my youth and became very ill from it then gluten free/ dairy free to try and eliminate health issues... never imagined I could eat meat every day.. Well over the past 6 months have watched hundreds of carnivore videos and now eat meat every day! It has been a struggle to enjoy plain beef so i add mustard to it and actually starting to enjoy it. I think the best way for non meat eaters is to gradually introduce red meat a bit each week until the tastebuds adjust and eventually as a person feels better and has more energy like me then the craving for that feeling from eating meat becomes greater than not liking the meat. I'm not carnivore yet and may never be fully carnivore as I'm more ketovore/low carb on a daily basis. I love your channel btw... glad I found you again!
I think it works great for the right person. I love cooking and cooking so many kinds of foods, that I wouldn't be able to stick to carnivore I would miss "other foods" too much. I try not to eat refined sugar and processed foods, so I guess clean eating. And that works for me. I think your message is, do what works FOR YOU! Love your videos 😍
@@bcplano actually many men are carnivore…when I met my husband 15 years ago I would be really upset when I would cook a nice meal with some type of carb like a baked potatoe with toppings, steamed veggies with a bit of feta and balsamic drizzle, a baked tomatoe with fresh parm crust and he would bbq steak. All he would eat was the steak. I grew up in a family where all the men in my family, uncles, grandpas my dad they ate what was cooked for them and said thank you. It got to be a pretty big issue between us, I just had never in my life known anyone who ate like this. Eventually after I had our son I just stopped cooking meals. My husband works shift work also so for the last 12 years he is responsible for his meals and I make our sons meals which are pretty basic he’s on the spectrum and only eats a handful of things. I became diabetic in ‘2017 had extremely high blood sugar so bad it made my eye sight go which is why I finally went to the emergency because I could see nothing, everything was just fuzzy. I implemented a very strict diet and lost 90 lbs, I have about 50 more to go but we’re getting there. I had always dreamed of family dinners like I had in my childhood so it was really hard to just learn to deal with the fact that this wasn’t going to by normal. My husband still mostly just eats meat but he also has a major sweet tooth so he also like baked goods so he’ll have a huge steak and then half a cake later …lol. Whatever works for him. Thankfully baked goods are t a real trigger for me so I’m able to stick to my own diet :)
I was vegan for 16 years before deciding to try animal products again. I did not do it for taste, but for health reasons. Once I had the smallest amount, it felt as if I was plugged back into life after years of misery through mental health decline, IBS, hormonal issues leading to hair loss + weight fluctuations etc etc. It’s been just over a year and I could never go back. I’ve learned to appreciate animals even more and worked to get over the initial discomfort. High quality animal products quite literally saved my life and continues to regularly. As I dig deeper, I find I’m closer and closer to keto and most likely will end up carnivore! I no longer battle food anxiety whether it’s thinking of it 24/7 or feeling the shame of over doing it.
Though I love all of your videos, the carnivore videos are my favorites. I absolutely get so much inspiration from them. It would be great if you would like to speak more often about it. There are so few who stand up on this issue, that it's just so refreshing when you speak on it.
When I go out to eat I order without much fuss but I ask for an extra plate. In that plate I put the salad and stuff I do not eat, put it in the middle of the table and if anyone wants it they can have it or have the waiter take it away.
I’ve been on the C plan since the end of August 2023, and my body is so much happier. The absolute hardest part was getting past many, many years of training myself to stay away from fats, so that was an about face. A couple of years ago I did a diet where you purchase “food” and eat every 2-3 hours. I lost weight, as long as I continued to purchase the expensive food, but it was NOT a lifestyle. My body screamed for food every 3 hours and I was obsessed with food, that’s all I thought about. Even when eating, I’d be thinking about my next meal. That ruined me. I’m so glad I found Carnivore, this is a lifestyle that 100% works for me!
Thanks Lisa. I had to send back my broiled scallops at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant. Needless to say, they didn't charge me for it after all the hassle, I didn't feel bad at all since I specifically said "just the scallops" no sauce, no salad etc etc. (so I gave the server a large tip) really not his fault!!! Kitchen wanted done fancy. hmmmmm! My friends are more annoyed about not drinking alcohol so that is easy to deal! I am relatively new at carnivore ( 8 months) and am happy with it. The energy and feeling of well being, no cravings and feeling satisfied after my meal is unimaginable. God Bless whomever invented this way of eating. Cheers
You have been such an inspiration to me, my blood work comes back perfect now on Carnivore. Im not looking for snacks, etc. I feel better, thank you, Lisa ❤❤
I did Keto for 3 years and lost 15 pounds but also lost a lot of muscle. I still eat a keto style diet but I love salads so I eat them. I am a huge believer in the no rice, potatoe, pasta, sugar etc. And a firm believer in the blood glucose control with no spiking. I feel better and my hot flashes are not as extreme with controlling my blood sugars through a low carb almost no carb life style.
Thank you Lisa, Lisa!!! I am one of those people who doesn't like meat, but I am so sick of being sick and I have tried every other way of eating and got sicker and sicker. Just existing because the food I like, doesn't like me back isn't working. I have to go with food that loves me back! For me this is a healing diet and I have worked very hard to figure out what way I like meat. I feel better each and every day that I do it! I can tolerate a good chuck steak. But I love, love cold roast, with a side of tallow mayo. I. also love hot beef fat crisped in an air fryer like bacon. I can do eggs several ways, but love them as custard steamed, tolerate other ways. I love butter in coffee, blended with a froth! If I was not sick and miserable, needing to lose 40 pounds (I gained as I got sicker) I might try more Keto...but I am desperate to heal from IBS, severe allergies, Pain all over, insomnia and depression. I may only need to do this for 6 more months, but I want healing more than I want "yummy" food!
I am so thankful you decided to create this video. I have "toyed" with carnivore for 5 or 6 months but haven't really committed to it for various reasons. However, after watching this video, I have decided to, at the very least, eliminate processed carbs and, eventually, all carbs. My goal is to begin, in earnest, on Valentine's Day, which is tomorrow, as I'm posting this comment. Thank you, LIsa, for this and all of your other content. I look forward to each and every one!
I want to thank you for telling us about thin cut ribeyes. I was struggling to get one regular cut ribeye down, but I can easily eat two thin cut. It was a texture thing. Thanks again!
I had weight loss surgery a year ago...RNY Gastric Bypass...I am what my surgeon calls a "Dirty Carnivore" because I still eat things like onions, avocados and some berries...anyway, I feel so much better now that I have cut out all of the garbage foods. Ive had arguments with the nutritionist, to the point, I will NOT go see her anymore. She could not grasp the idea that some folks have issues with veggies and the fact that my surgeon ok.d my way of eating prior to my surgery.
I gave up all alcohol and coffee. People think Im insane I feel amazing Im not carnivore I eat a lot of meat, fat, good food I dont enjoy eating out unless Im in European holiday ! We are as unique as our fingerprint ! Enjoyment and health is not one size fits all 🙏💟
I’ve completely changed my diet - not the same as you but that’s not the point, we can all do our own thing that makes us feel good and people should respect an individuals choices. Thanks for sharing your journey x
It sounds like you did it right. By your description, you found a way to eat that doesn’t make you sick, through a careful process of elimination. 🙌 And this is coming from someone with zero interest in this way of eating and huge concerns around animal cruelty/american factory farming practices.
Really enjoyed this video. I have been Carnivore since Oct. 1. Completely changed how I feel and I love it. My best friend does not like meat, and as much as I think this lifestyle would help her, I hear what you are saying. It would be difficult for her to last very long.
Yes,yes, yes, I have been strict carnivore for 14 months. Changed my life. No joint pain, off blood pressure meds, off pre diabetes meds. It has been like changing. My son turned me on to it. It has been wonderful!!
I enjoy your videos discussing your WOE! I fluctuate a lot in what I eat. I listen to my body, eat what I feel it's telling me it needs. I believe our bodies talk to us constantly and all bodies are so different. It's wonderful that you found what works for you!
I tried keto and got very sick . I lost weight , but then my liver started to have issues after a few months . I fainted and hit my head on my bathtub and that was when I went to the doctor . I’m now vegan and I feel much better . But you do you , we all need to do whatever makes us feel good mentally and physically.
Keto made me sick too. I did it for 6 weeks and lost 7 pounds (I wanted to lose 20). I felt miserable the entire time on keto. I switched to walking every day and clean eating and the weight fell off and I lost 25 pounds and am now at my perfect weight.I just avoid processed food and try to consume as little sugar as possible. I love my potatoes and bread and I feel so much better when I eat carbs in moderation. I also love fruits and vegetables. I rarely eat out and cook healthy meals. That works for me.
I believe that our blood type plays a role in how we should eat …it’s a very interesting angle, I highly suggest looking up “eating for my bloody type” …a lot of great info out there.
My daughter can eat fruits & vegetables all day & it doesn’t spike her insulin. I know of a lot of people like that. You’re correct it isn’t for everyone. I felt miserable in ketosis! I stuck with it for over a year hoping for all the glory I heard of.
Yes, I have been carnivore for 9 months. All of these are true. Many people just can't get past the low fat, more veggies, no red meat falsehoods and think they are the only right way. Vegetables show up in the toilet if I eat them. Stay strong! I no longer have any arthritis pain!
I live in the UK and where I live it's difficult to buy good quality grass fed meat plus it's very expensive. I struggled myself on carnivore although I enjoyed it at first it became difficult so decided not to do it. I try to make most of my meals meat fish chicken and I make my own bone broth and ghee when I cook. This video has inspired me and you don't need to be an expert as you are living the life. I have followed Eric Berg for years and loosely followed a Keto diet from time to time. I'm now going to really look into seriously and give it another try. Thanks so much.❤
How about your bloodwork numbers? Doctors are always trying to correct numbers with pharmaceuticals. I’m 66 not on any meds, I eat Mediterranean (I’m Greek). I feel better when eating meat and a smidge of leafy greens and small amounts of veggies. Anything else I get sick tummy. I’m also lactose intolerant with milk and soft cheeses. I avoid doctors, unless I ever have an emergency.
Lisa I just love you, I feel like we have been friends forever, that’s how you make me feel. You are so sweet, kind , smart and I thank you for all your videos. Your my favorite for sure♥️♥️♥️
I started Carnivore on 8/1/2023. My health is so much more improved my doctor said it's the best thing I could have done for my health. I tried it because my symptoms where just like yours. Thank you for being unapologetic for your choices. I LOVE what I eat every day, as well.
I stopped eating processed foods and anything with preservatives and it was absolutely life changing. I did start eating more protein and meat, but I find that I’m perfectly fine keeping unprocessed, preservative free bread fresh from the bakery. I’ll have preservatives on the weekend sometimes and I get sick immediately
What we eat is no one’s business! I am sorry people get in your business. I know you are public, but really not anyone’s business. You are a very strong woman!! Love you 🥰
You are the one who I came across on here because I loved how beautiful your skin looked! I started the carnivore a year ago. Too much meat mad me a little sick, so I went to ketovore and intermittent fasting and the right supplements, walking and strength training. I have lost 30 pounds! I don't care what people think if I order no bun. Its my body and the inflammation has gone down exponentially! Thank you Lisa, I look fabulous!
Dear Sweet Lisa, I want you to know your story was a big reason my husband and I went 19:37 . You suggested in one of your videos to watch Dr. Ken Berry, research the diet for yourself. That let to watching Dr. Chafee, Dr. Shawn Baker, a host of other educators on all things Carnivore, Keto and the many variations. We started Carnivore October 9, 2023. My husband lost 25 lbs, his A1C test which measures what your blood sugar has been doing the last 3 months, his fasting insulin and glucose were ALL normal. He had been diagnosed with Metabolic Resistance. I didn't need to lose any weight but I have had improvement in less joint issues, my glucose and insulin levels are great and we both have greater mental clarity. Our food (red meat) is delicious and satisfying. With 70% of Americans overweight and a high percentage pre-diabetic I think a low carb, Keto or Carnivore diet would help many people. It has been fascinating to learn from so many credible sources what just getting off sugar and processed foods can do for ones mind and body. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
Lisa, I have commented before how I feel unwell n should consider the diet. I am finally closer to taking the plunge. I am done feeling unwell, I dry retch brushing my teeth, body, joint pain ect and my son also has autoimmune and he is now my motivation to get us both in remission. I dont eat fruit but veggies cos we are told are healthy I eat knowing most make me unwell and of course sugar n gluten are not my friends. Thanks for sharing as I discovered the diet from your vids n have recently done the full research on carnivore, lion diets for healing.xo
This! 100% I agree and also my experience was the same, both health conditions and my experience with the diet. I love the simplicity, I don't mind eating the same things, I love the "closed book" feeling. All of it. I've encountered many people who just "can't" for the reasons you listed.
Hi Lisa. Your vídeo about carnivore few months ago changed my life. I did it for 60 days and somehow slipped into keto and a weekend cheat meal of carbs. I thought I could handle it but I overdid it. Now back on carnivore for a week. I lost over 20 lbs, my anxiety is much better and I feel great! Thank you!!!!
Love this video, I am not Carnivore but curious as I have similar health issues. Love the makeup look today! Super pretty Lisa, as always. Thank you for sharing.
Hi, thank you for sharing your story. I’m right there with you. We are similar in many respects. I was told about the carnivore diet by my hair stylist and it sounds great. I’m starting today, so excited because I love the idea of eating only meat and animal products. Take care
Oh my gosh Lisa. I haven’t eaten meat in so long (I like fish tho). I have watched about 10 of your RUclipss…. I have the same ibs bloat and cramp. I just had my 3rd colonoscopy. I’m fine they say. Thank you SOOOOOOO much!!!! I have a rancher nearby that sells pure meat….. I’m so excited to not feel this bad anymore. I remember when I was pregnant decades ago… I only ate meat.. everything else made me sick. It was the best I’ve ever felt. I feel silly for not figuring it out before now. I tried keto but everything has sugar or chemicals in it… after a year I gave up.
Carnivore for life! I agree, I’m not out to change anyone’s mind or judge anyone’s way of eating. A meat based diet works for me and I feel amazing! 🥓🥩
If you don’t want to be carnivore you can get the same results by being ruthless about never eating any junk ultraprocessed foods again. This is what carnivore does for you and why people see the weight loss and other benefits. If you have Lisa’s gut issues (which I do) then you need to be careful about fibre. But you can eat low fibre and still eat carbs. I stick to white rice, small amounts of fruit, chocolate. That can keep your LDL low. Carnivore is an elimination diet. It’s great as a start but try adding in food by food one a day. Poor Lisa is an edge case who really can’t tolerate any plants but that is unusual. I would add that sometimes it’s just the amount of fibre you are eating, not which kind. I can eat most carbs but there is an amount above which my stomach goes crazy.
@@wendycaran8267this is a very good point, the gut biome is destroyed with things like antibiotics and vaccines, so it’s very important to learn how to detox that poison out of the body and repair the gut. Extremely vital to overall good health. The gut is called the 2nd brain for a reason, it plays a vital role in our total health and wellness.
Thank you for making this video there are some carnivores who are just pushing and pushing people. We’re supposed to be level headed in this community not like crazy vegans trying to force and guilt people into this. This diet is a solution for people who are at their wits end and who find it comfortable. All of these new carnivores deciding to make youtube content flooding the movement saying its too hard or its not working are annoying to me some of them seem to be fishing for attention and views. It’s always been and should remain do what works for you.
I've contemplated doing this. I've dipped my toes in and have definitely felt a difference. I admit the thought grossed me out at first. Letting go of my veggies is the hardest. Never thought I would love red meat, but I'm actually craving it now. Everyone I see that is on this diet looks so healthy and glowing so I'm a believer. I'll get there, just have to take baby steps everyday. Eating is not a hobby for me. I'm busy. I want to eat and get on with my busy day and not have to worry about my blood sugar crashing. I've noticed I can go long periods of time without food eating this way so I think it will work for me. You are my inspiration Lisa. Thank you.
Miss Lisa, I want to thank you for doing these carnivore videos for the past few months I’ve been experiencing lupus symptoms, and my blood work came back showing signs of possible lupus. I’m still waiting to get in with a rheumatologist to hopefully confirm and diagnose me. Weeks ago my symptoms became so severe. I was bedridden for two weeks and could barely walk and too many other symptoms to list. I decided to take responsibility and action for my own health while I’m waiting for a doctor and I’ve been eating only meat for the past four weeks. I’m feeling so much better and I am able to work again I believe I am putting myself into remission and heal my gut health. I may adopt the autoimmune diet in the future but right now I’m feeling so much better. Just wanted to share my story as encouragement to you because I love your carnivore videos.
A lot of people’s taste change after being on keto/carnivore. They can eat eggs. Also they can ad butter to lean chicken breast. If there is a will there is a way. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying this diet. There are ways around all of the things you were talking about. A lot of people start keto and naturally shift to carnivore.
Meat makes me feel so sick! Vegetables and fruits have always made me feel great. I even tried increasing my stomach acid to accommodate meat for a couple years and it still didn't take it away. There was a time in my life where I went carnivore and I ended up not eating enough because I would feel full and nauseous after three bites. Meat sits in my stomach like a brick. I like to follow Dr. Berg's diet of clean keto and that suits my body a thousand times better.
I have been carnivore for 3 years.started after watching your video! Healthiest I ever been! Stronger, alert, happier. I was never a foodie but loved pizza and pasta. Don’t miss it at all. In fact, I can taste sugar when it is in something I ate and it taste bad to me!
I don't know why some people would comment about what you order out or eat... what do they care?? eat what you want, ... I eat protein but I also eat a salad with clean dressing I make myself with simple ingredients with many veggies included and other veggies and berries, sometimes citrus ...these do not upset my stomach so I am good with that ... XOXOXO
I render my own fat for tallow, it is so yummy to add some on top of meat or.chicken. Also you can have some small spoons during the day, it is fabulous. The idea of it is a little gross until you try it 😊.
I despise when wait staff comments on what I order. I’ve ordered a salad when I’m not hungry but my husband is I get a comment from the waitress “good girl” excuse me. Or people in general are you on a diet, oh that has a lot of calories or that has a lot of fat etc etc….people need to mind their business!
Great video Lisa! And I love that you recommend keto. I watch all of your carnivore videos but the keto diet is what works best for my household so that what I follow. I still enjoy and learn from your videos. Im also a North Carolina girl ❤ I recommend Nesha Berry RUclips videos for anyone wanting to learn more about keto.
I agree! I think most people who “don’t like meat” are dealing with either 1) a lifetime of listening to the demonization of meat and fat and it is ingrained on a subconscious level 2) your body has been on sugar and veg for so long you don’t have the acid you need in your stomach to breakdown the meat. Both things can be overcome if you have enough health problems to want to try something different ❤️ but it’s true, Carnivore is not for everyone. If you’re thriving doing whatever you’re doing, keep up whatever is working 👏❤️
I have friends who are Blood Type A, and yes, their naturally low stomach acid and inability to thrive on meat (beef) prevents them from being Carnivore. ❤
@@blackdiamond7708blood type definitely plays a huge role in how our body reacts to food. There is a great book called eating for your blood type , my husband has followed this for a decade or so.
Everyone is different, that is why most diets don't work. I don't like the word "diet", because you have to stick with what works for you, and diets are only a temporary fix, and most people don't stay with it. I eat a high-protein diet, and i love food, and I have learned what foods I can eat, and what I can't. I cut out so many foods and butter and snacks, and the weight gradually came off. I love practicing Pilates & Yoga, which helped me to get back my 20-year old body. Everybody is different, so you have to find what works best for you, because food really is a big part of our culture and lifestyle.
Lisa, I didn’t like meat but once I went plant free my taste buds evolved to primal eating and now I love meat and meat fat, yes our palate evolves on animal based just be patient. Took me 4-6 months to adjust. ❤
I know fruit has been around since the beginning of time. I think what has happened is we have altered or fruits and veggies so much to the point that they are almost no longer considered whole foods. Its not necessarily fruits and veggies in themselves its what we have done to them. Even organic is not organic. Im convinced the fruits and veggies that we have now are not even close to what they ate B.C grapes now are definitely not biblical grapes lol
Great video, Lisa. You're absolutely right: No Carbs is not for everyone. As a Carnivore, I am a meat eater but there are days when I wonder if it's for me--and then I remember all of the health improvements I've seen with a meat-based diet.
Almost one month in and I didn’t like meat and I am sensitive to opinions. You can get there. Find meat that tastest good. I don’t like 90% of meat until one month in I found the right supplier. And being sensitive carnivore is teaching me how to deal with criticism. You can do it. And I love your videos you are doing it so lovely ❤️
As someone who doesn’t like meat!!! It’s a struggle for sure and I’m not sure how long this willl last but I’m plugging along and seeing great results !!!!

@@yeahweburnstuff Thank you!! 😘 Lisa
❤🎉😊CONGRATULATIONS AND HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!🎉❤ May the Lord bless you beyond your expectations and imagination!!!! God bless you!!!😊
Lisa, I'm also carnivore and when I go out to eat and place my order, I tell them I have a food allergy.
What is The Villages?
Me too
The Villages is a retirement community in central Florida
What are your go to foods when you eat out ?
That is amazing!!! Please share some eating tips please!! Keep it up!!
Hear!!
You handled this so gracefully. This topic is such a hot button. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Lisa is elegant. The elegant Carnivore.
👏👏💪💪 welcome to the carnivore lifestyle!
Stick with it. Healing takes time but it will come.
DO IT TEN YEARS.
You had already found it in Atkins! So many Dr’s are clueless!!!
Carnivore for the win! I lost over 30 pounds, I'm 59 & never felt better. Also, my stomach is as flat as iit was n my twenties before having babies!
Amazing
I think it works great for the right person. I love cooking and cooking so many kinds of foods, that I wouldn't be able to stick to carnivore I would miss "other foods" too much.
I try not to eat refined sugar and processed foods, so I guess clean eating. And that works for me. I think your message is, do what works FOR YOU! Love your videos 😍
Yes! Clean eating is the key!
I love that you want to help people!!! Hugs!
I love the carnivore information you give it’s always so informative 🥰
Lisa thank you for the reminder ♥️. I am in the process of adjusting to carnivore. Pleas, keep your fingers crossed 🤞 for me.
Lisa! U grow more beautiful by the year. I swear you're aging in reverse. Ure such a great testimony for carnivore
When I go out to eat I order without much fuss but I ask for an extra plate. In that plate I put the salad and stuff I do not eat, put it in the middle of the table and if anyone wants it they can have it or have the waiter take it away.
From trying carnivore diet a little, it definitely helped me not crave sugar.
YAY!! Thank you so much, Rhonda!! 🩷 Lisa
Just celebrated one year of carnivore! I'm down 3 dress sizes.I also have put insulin resistance and hypothyroidism in remission ❤❤❤
IT IS UNDENIABLE ..You are a walking talking example of eating for what is good or right for YOU❤! .. period.. Amen Sistah!
Thank you!! 🥰 Lisa
Ure ketovore. Like Neisha Berry.
I gave up all alcohol and coffee.
People think Im insane
I feel amazing
Im not carnivore
I eat a lot of meat, fat, good food
I dont enjoy eating out unless Im in European holiday !
We are as unique as our fingerprint !
Enjoyment and health is not one size fits all 🙏💟
I have been watching Dr Ken Berry . He has great information regarding the carnivore diet.
She has a video on her lipids:)
I always enjoy your carnivore videos, but I have to say that this lip combo is on point! ✅ 👄 💄
I do eat keto / low carb. I’ve felt so good eating this way 👍🏼. Thanks for sharing Lisa 💕
“We have so much food around us all the time” So true (especially in the US) The best and simplest diet is … wait for it EAT LESS😅
This is such a wonderful piece. Mind opening. Beautifully eloquently said.
Lisa, Thank you so much for doing these videos. You are truly such an inspiration.
🩷🤗🍃🌸🍃
Thank you, Nevona! 💖 Lisa
Thanks for continuing to do these videos on carnivore
@LisaLisaD1 I just wanted to say Thank you for being true to yourself and inspiring your viewers to do the same! Best to you, from Cindy in Texas
Thank you, Cindy!! I appreciate you being here with me!! 😘 Lisa
Thanks for putting yourself out there and helping us fellow woman who are going through perimenopause/menopause.
I do agree, processed food has done so much harm to us.
You look beautiful… love the beautiful brighter lip!
Let us know how you’re doing if you decided to try it😊
You said it so well! I love being Carnivore but I know it's not for everyone.
Also having a good diverse gut microbiome that can help ‘break down’ fruit & veg
Agree with you - listen to your body. For me it’s no processed foods, veggies, meat, fish, chicken and cheese. Very little sugar.
Lisa, You need to watch one of "Glucose Goddess's" videos she is all about blood sugar too in a real easy to absorb way...Thank you for this video.
Thank you.
You look gorgeous!
Good points & so true! I LOVE the simplicity & benefits of carni!
I love your hair straight. So pretty!
Carnivore is not diet it is a life style! and it is premium diet for all human!
I have been carnivore for 3 years.started after watching your video! Healthiest I ever been! Stronger, alert, happier. I was never a foodie but loved pizza and pasta. Don’t miss it at all. In fact, I can taste sugar when it is in something I ate and it taste bad to me!
Amazing huh. People need to understand this isn’t a lose weight diet. It’s a health and body composition optimization way of eating.
@@NannyNettie absolutely! I didn’t need or want to lose weight. Just wanted to live my best and healthy life !
XOXOXO
Wow your hair straight has inspired me to give it a try😍🫶🏼🙏🏻
Beautiful Lisa..keep doing ur thing ❤
Im also a North Carolina girl ❤
I recommend Nesha Berry RUclips videos for anyone wanting to learn more about keto.
