This is one of the coolest things I've seen for scale RC's. I first saw the wagon video a few months ago, but now seeing it in a crawler takes it next level for me. I have to get one and try it out. Amazing.
The idea is great! but IMO the movements are too exaggerated, it's like it has blown shocks if maybe it can tune it down a bit it will look much better.
The movement is spot on, looks brilliant. I know it’s a crawler so is ment to be driving slowly, but out of curiosity how does it look if you go full speed over several bumps. Does the suspension even out the bumps or is it still showing the effects of the previous obstacle? Just curious, because I know it’s a crawler and it looks really awesome when doing so!
My initial idea was to make it absorb bumps, but regular servos aren’t able to react quick enough. It still does react to bumps and has that slow and realistic way of going over uneven terrain.
Уоу коледата за мен пристигна! Такова удоволствие! Благодаря, Мите. Ти сбъдваш детски мечти на големи :) Wow Christmas has arrived for me! Such a pleasure! Thanks, Mite. You make childhood dreams come true for adults :)
in my opinion it's amazing, im following this channel since day 1 (early videos) and this install result is almost perfect, just need little tweaks and calibration and its 100% correct to 1:1 scale in suspension response
Nothing a softer suspension setup wouldnt offer . Its freaking rc overkill.....that you can make it happen doesent mean you should. But hats off for the whole instalation.
Absolutely amazing man, been following you ever since I saw your first tec demo with the wagon. Are you planning on expanding this to any other models as well? I'm sure it takes alot of time and energy to do this level of work but it would be cool to see this go into even other traxxas models like the MAXX series or the slash.
Is there an always level function for them? That would pull the front down on up hills and drop the rear on down hills, and side to side as well. That would be really cool
You could definitely make a firmware to do this. Would be relatively easy if you wanted to mount an FPV camera for example. It would likely be more using the larger servos than what typically come with a gimbal (speaking theoretically, I haven't tried FPV... yet ;) ).
Nevermind, I see @10:48 this was addressed. Crawler Customs installed this on a CEN Racing F-450 but their setup, the ride height can also be adjusted. Is that something they did ontop of the SuperScale setup?
Is your source code proprietary or do you have it available for download? I'd like to adapt it work with an ESP32 for bluetooth connectivity for tuning.
It's a neat concept but just looks like a truck with blown out shocks. I understand supposed to look realistic but I've never seen an actual vehicle either on the road or off that shakes and moves around this much unless it has bad shocks
Looks like the body has no inner fenders attached. Can you confirm? Not sure how you'd install the body with the inner fenders attached to the body, any ideas?
Williams and many others used it exactly as you described in Formula 1 in the early 90's. Eventually it was banned as the cars became to quick and any glitch or failure in the active suspension software could result in a potentially life threatening accident.
Hi from FRANCE, I've some ideas to try(see below) but first I'm already totally fan of this product! I love it so much I will order it, I can't wait more. You change RC to the next level! I always said to many Great yt video, there models are too light to be realistic: on my trx4 with extra weights( 450g), it become better...but.... Your mod is the one that could change all RC to the best level! I would like to mount it on both FG stadium 1/5 and long wheelbase FG Porsche GT1 track model with big servos, separate power, also would like to test it on Moonraker yacht with self stabilizing system I've developed in past on gyro, with your system I think I could obtain full stab system on RC boat for the first time ! And one on trx4, for sure. Oh god 5 systems.... Glups....
You sure have ideas. Make sure you share your progress on the FB page. BTW the crawler firmware has a stabilising system running at all times, but isn’t actually used much. Just turn the D dial all the way to the left.
have you considered one for 1/14 rc tractor unit (trucks like scania etc) nooxion have a kit for cab suspension, have you seen that? Any chance of making it for 1/14?
@@SuperScale-dp7kv yes i just ordered the ss system, i think it would work very nicely indeed for 1/14 trucks... brackets are an issue (for me) as i dont 3d print but I am thinking of ways round it...thank you.
@@tomv3361 I saw it and the sideways shake is not bad but you need a very top heavy body for that and even with it you will not get the reaction from the front and rear to small bumps like you do with my system. You also can’t get the right longevity and period of the oscillations.
Is it possible to get the printed parts ordered as well? If so could you please direct message me. I’d like to purchase the entire kit from you. I have a TRX 4 defender RC as well.
@@SuperScale-dp7kv I just bought a kit from your website, would you be able to include the print files? Time for me to buy a 3D printer! Super excited to get this working.
@@SuperScale-dp7kv thank you! I’d be more than happy to give you some feedback when the build is done, ordering the other parts now. So glad I got recommended this video!
@@SuperScale-dp7kv Just one question though, does it require a separate bec? I already have a Traxxas BEC installed on my rig, do you recommend a second one, or could I just run a splitter from my existing BEC?
That's way too bouncy. If a real car bounced like that, it would definitely need new dampers. Why not just use thinner oil in the dampers if you want it to bounce more realistically?
The movement doesn’t scale the same way using dampers alone. Using thinner oil will make it bounce more, but it will bounce too quickly. Agree that this is too bouncy, however the settings are completely adjustable. I’m guessing it’s turned right up to show the effect better
This is tooo much man, and not realistic, u can bether remove te O rings out of the stock shocks. Thats more realistic. With this setup u will flip when ure side climbing.✌🏽✌🏽
Its amazing how heavy this RC looks immediately.

I realize it is quite off topic but do anybody know of a good place to stream new movies online?

yeah, this is the opposite of realistic, unless you are trying to simulate dead dampers.
I like how the servos sound like squeaky suspension.

I’d never drive a regular one anymore.
