I would like to see a story where we see how Peter and the symbiot genuinely love each other but accidentally hurt each other because they are very different from each other, I think it would be an interesting way to explore relationships

Everything you've said is correct. Except the parts pertaining to Eddie Brock at 22:36. How the symbiote feels about Brock is very vague due to how mysterious the symbiote was emotionally back then. I personally believe it does like Eddie. All we know for sure is that the Eddie never filled the hole that Peter left behind. That was one of the tragic elements of their relationship. No matter how much Eddie tried he could never be the host Peter was. "Abusive?" In what way? The only human host the symbiote has ever had that was close to abusive was Lee Price and looking back on their history the symbiote is more of an abuser to Eddie than vice versa.
@@bigevil1001 I definitely think that the symbiote grew to like Eddie and their relationship has definitely developed over time and turned into more than it was at the beginning.
I agree that the explicit material we're given is pretty vague and my interpretation isn't written in stone anywhere. To me it just reads as semi abusive/co-dependant because the symbiote is still kind of not fully developed in its understanding of the human world. Eddie is someone who's irrationally angry, who uses exercise as a masochistic outlet for his anger, and who (at the beginning at least) reads as highly narcissistic. I think that's a pretty textbook example of an abuser within a relationship. You've got this extremely powerful, overwhelming narcissistic personality (Eddie) and this naive, vulnerable personality who needs to attach to someone to survive (symbiote).
We sort of explicitly hear that the symbiote is more confused than it is "angry" at Peter. And most of that confusion came from its time bonded to Eddie. So my take away from that is that sharing a mind with Eddie at that early stage of their dynamic was pretty traumatic for the symbiote. And could have involved some component of emotional abuse. Eddie puts himself in pain through exercise and self loathing and that pain is absorbed by the symbiote by proxy.
