I never go anywhere without my Nocticron. All of the Panasonic Leica lenses are outstanding, but this one is a cut above the rest. I also got mine second-hand due to the cost, but absolutely worth what I paid for it. Got some incredible shots in New York with it - especially good in low light and also when there's a lot going on in the background (as there is in a busy city!)

If you don’t mind me asking, what price were you able to get it at?

@@thrallingFRglory I paid £599 GBP (about $750 USD). There are cheaper ones out there if you don't mind a few scratches on the casing etc. Ebay is a good bet, but also a lot of camera stores will have a selection of used lenses available.

I found it for the equivalent of $700 US, on the GX9 the image quality and color science is incredible.

Hi Grant, great video. I just purchased one of these new and had a question... I noticed when I took it out of the box that there seems to be a very slight weight shift in the lens with almost a faint rattle. Is that normal for this lens? Is it the lens elements in the O.I.S. moving freely? Thanks for any information you can provide.

Thank You :) Yes, mine has that same kinda rattle and movement - & I do believe it’s the stabilisation… Enjoy your new lens :)

Hi Robert, cloud you let me know if the paint on metal rings is showing signs of ware? if so, after how much time?
I manage to find one and the paint on the metal rings is visibly gone, and for a premium product i did not expected that .... i suspect that the seller is not honest about how he used.
    Thank you

Hey - I got mine second hand too... Yeah it was a bit scratched up, but noting too bad - But all my metal Leica lenses start to show ware after a while - My 12mm f1.4 is starting to show ware after about 2 years of solid use... But I'm hard on gear!
