There was a local FM radio station that used to constantly play their songs (especially on Sunday nights, don't remember the exact name of the show but had something to do with bongs - "Midnight Bong"?). Along with Jasper Wrath which was a local CT band led by Jeff Cannata who would later form AOR band Arc Angel, a brief but great band. Remember songs "Tragedy" & "Confession"? Incredibly catchy:

Very nice of Martin Popoff to give a question somewhere in it all to George in the middle. With gatherings like this it can be very hard for someone to take place. Especially when there are several who gladly can talk all night and more extroverted.
Love to see that the Progressive Metal Drum God has such a varied and open taste in music as well. ELO? Wings? Boston? Ramones? Nice to see!
My Top 5 would be somewhat obvious after watching the show but..

By the end of this 3 months pretty much figured out how to play the root notes anyhow of 2112! If it wasn’t for that time of my life; I don’t feel I’d be playing from the rest of this Summer’s self taught lessons onwards and offered a chance to play with my own band starting as a younger kid with Coexist to Mortem; Slug 🐌 and in the end with The Glory Stompers. I would never be so grateful till this day. Thank ya now! Sincerely yours, DJP ex etc.. Boston Massachusetts USA 🇨🇳 * Jaime got my last picks!

Whoa - a completely reconfigured Hudson Valley Squares but what a great show for everyone's lists. Between the picks, honorable mentions and some of the commenters so far, most personal choices - particularly the top 5 - are well represented. But some honorable mentions either missed or not seen as of this posting would be a strictly personal choice - Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers eponymous debut. A must shout-out to a fellow home-town guy and band members for their first album debut. And includes American Girl - perhaps my favorite song by the band.
Thanks to all the Squares - those new faces and those with only lists - for their great choices and a fun discussion.

+1 for Bolin's Private Eyes...A year after Come Taste The Band, Graz, Days May Come And Days May Go (interesting Purple demos & jams), This Time Around Live In Tokyo '75 (excellent package) & Last Concert In Japan with Purple, and his solo record Teaser.
1976 also saw "King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents Deep Purple In Concert" (aka On The Wings Of A Russian Foxbat - released in '95) & "Live At Long Beach 1976" (a repackaged King Biscuit), both featuring Bolin. Long Beach has a live 6-minute version of "Homeward Strut" that's probably worth the price of the cd. Live At Ebbets Field (Tommy Bolin Band released in 1996) is also from 1976, this time with a 9-minute live "Homeward Strut", as well as a 7-minute "Lotus" & an 8-minute "People People".
Rounding out Bolin's 1976 are Live At Northern Lights (a 13-minute Post Toastee!), Shake The Devil - The Lost Sessions (demos/outtakes from Private Eyes), Snapshot (released in 2000, this is a mix of tracks from '76 & earlier) & Whirlwind (demos/outtakes from Teaser & some Energy stuff. A 26-minute Marching Bag). All in all quite a year for Bolin (although a lot of this was released much later).
The family-run Tommy Bolin Archives have released a lot of Bolin material since the late 90's. I had read an article right around that time about their plans & got on their mailing list, to keep up with all of the releases. Considering that he died at age 25 he's got quite a discography: Patch Of Blue (1966 - I believe his first band, a 13 year old Tommy Bolin - I've never heard this), Zephyr, Energy, Spectrum (Billy Cobham/Jan Hammer - if you don't own this record then shame on you), James Gang, Alphonse Mouzon, Moxy, Deep Purple & Solo

It’s always fun when you know the person doesn’t like the band that’s being discussed.

@@kayleeguth7291 I think Sydney respects Rush but doesn't like them. I have the same attitude towards the Who and the Stones.
