Pete Pardo, I have a great idea for another series of shows. Instead of ranking the albums... ranking the tracks on a classic album. You could start with Rumours by Fleetwood Mac and invite two or three of your guests to make it an interesting in depth talk about an album we all know (except from Chris Alo). Plenty of classic albums to cover on the following shows...

Well said, Ian! The diversity and dazzling musicianship by ALL four is astounding! In my less than humble estimation, Physical Graffiti is quite simply the very peak of rock and roll! Zep could feature kazoos and it would still shit on most bands from a mile high! My niece just gave me the remastered vinyl edition for my b-day....God, I love her!

    1. Chris, Ryan, Steve, Sydney and Butch along with Martin Popoff in the house
    2. Chris has never listened to Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors" !?!
    3. Sydney bought her crappy copy of her Alice Cooper album at Rock Fantasy...
    4. "There's 'ol Handsome Dick"
    5. Tony Iommi may have stolen Chris' copy of Sabotage...
    6. Butch has never watched the movie "Jaws" !?!
    7. "A lot of Goblin out there..."
    8. There's actually a band named Goblin Cock. Who knew?!
    9. "...my favorite album from a band that has about 400 billion albums..."
    10. "As normal, I found a way to cheat"...
    11. ZZ Top: The forgotten band of the Hudson Valley Squares...
    12. Ryan's little face licking dog appears at the 1 hour 1 minute and 14 second mark...
    13. "Ryan keeps his dog on a low salt diet"
    14. Turns out that Chris's Sabotage album was right under his nose all along...
    15. "...good drinking album"
    16. "That guy looked like a fucking pixie from the Harry Potter movies"

@@MochaDaisy8645 : Frank also edited/added in fragments of live performances into his " studio albums " - most of his studio albums are these odd hybrids of live and studio recordings. "We're Only In It For The Money ", is superb - it's my second favourite Mothers' album ( "Weasels Ripped My Flesh" is my fave Mothers cd ). Frank has an odd and varied catalogue , I tend to favour the late 60's early 70's material ( 66 - 75 ) , but I also really enjoy the Steve Vai era . I can sometimes obsess on the " Thing Fish " album. The Flo and Eddie period is a weird one for me - sometimes; I genuinely enjoy listening to it ( the version of Call Any Vegetable on "Just Another Band From L.A", is excellent), - mostly; it's a total disconnect with that period, and I find their vocals wonky - verging on annoying ( and, yes, I know Flo and Eddie were early 70's as well). I agree that "Caress of Steel" is the more ambitious of the two Rush releases for 1975 - I just prefer "Fly By Night" . I really don't like the production on "Caress of Steel" - lot of middle earth songs on that album - not really a Tolkein fan - Bastille Day and Lakeside Park are Fantastic, though! I'm from St. Catharines, Ontario ( Port Dalhousie ), where Neil grew up. Lakeside Park is about our park in Port Dalhousie - they renamed The Lakeside Park Pavilion, the Neil Peart Pavilion last year. They haven't erected the Neil statue, yet - but... the proposed statue is incredible!

Great show as always, I always (living through this time in music) have difficulty with the 'hard rock' and 'metal' tags, it just wasn't presented that way on the stations. My 5 for today:
Physical Graffitti (Zep), Wish You Were Here (Floyd), A Night at the Opera (Queen), Born To Run (Springsteen), On Your Feet Or On Your Knees (BOC) but not the release version the band version Live in the West 1975. Some honorables: Stampede (Doobie Bros), Blues For Allah (Grateful Dead), Red Octopus (Jefferson Airplane).

Way to go Chris. Very interesting picks, didn't see that coming - but at the same time those were very Chris Allo picks. In Trance and TNT were excellent choices. It's funny that everybody thinks those are fantastic albums, yet they are usually overshadown by other albums from that year. The worldwide 1976 release of High Voltage is basically equal to the Australian 1975 TNT - almost the same tracklist and same running order. Cheers!
