I think $10 each would've been better but honestly these aren't bad. Always wanted the original zord as a kid but had to settle for Fingerhut remote controlled ones. Awesome review Rocco, kinda want these now.
The one megazord I didn’t have as a kid was the original dyno, this fills a lifelong hole I’ve had. Sure it’s not the original or the expensive AF legacy but it functions and connects almost the same, got mine today at Walmart for $40 total (12.99 each). Worth it to me.
I think by today's toy standards it seems like a fairly decent price, I mean a single lightning collection power ranger figure is $20 so a set of Zords that combines into the original tank & megazord modes & has some articulation for about $46 after tax seems like a decent value.
Just got this the other day because growin up i never had an original megazord and when bandai released the legacy version, i bit myself in the ass for not gettin it them but now im glad i have a version of the megazord at a fraction of the cost of what one would be today. Here in canada they were $19.99 for each of the sets here
BD-15 has decals to dress it up to complete tv show accuracy as well if that's something youd be interested in. I might get a set for mine and far as tighter joints that's completely fine by me as my original from 1994 like yours is very loose and slouches in spots due to old age.
The toys altogether is $40 if you get the all-in-one bundle but you can get decals from BD15 which cost $30. SO you end up spending around $70 on the whole thing.
I got mine from Wal-Mart $12 a set so all for $36 definitely not bad. If you bought them at Meijer or Target yeah youd be paying more- thats why I love Wal-Mart best
I recently got this new set got one I bought and opened and got another to keep boxed due to fact they're hard to come across now! I will say they're not as bad as some ppl will say yes very plasticy but not bad for the price I'm happy with them definitely a great collectors shelf display piece.
i think this would also be idea; for anyone who couldn''t get the OG megazord or any Legacy or re-releases of them and at a more affordable price. Im happy with mine regardlessit took me 26 years to finallty get a megazord so it was worth it for me.
Admittedly I ordered the toys due to not having the money for the Legacy collection on eBay. I also ordered a set of decals from BD15 to make it look more screen accurate. Hopefully Hasbro will release the Dragonzord and Titanus and they can connect as well. Finally, I am hitting Like for the song at the end of the video.
I mean, to be honest it has more articulation than the Legacy Zord Builder Megazord, si I'd say the price is about right, BUT if Hasbro did a Combiner Wars style megazord with articulation and posability I'd say it would easily be a 100 bucks set
So for your complaint about the price it's not bad for this type of toy in modern time to expect it to be on the same level as the 90's one for the same price is unrealistic. Inflation is a thing and it cost more to make things than it did 27 years ago heck it cost more to make things now than it did 10 years ago. This is at least on par if not better(due to more articulation)than the 2010 one which was like $25 so the price increase to $45 (or $40 if you get the box set on Amazon) is not bad at all for a decade.
The new version is more accurate to the show then the old ones. It has more articulation and less bulky. i think the older Megazords look too wide. Now I do think they could of added more details to make it better.
I agree that it looks more show accurate than the old school toys. Probably the reason I like it so much. More details would be great, but for the money I don't have any complaints.
I bought mine today got each set for 13.00, meh, trying to buy a vintage or a legacy are well over $100 on second hand market, yeas I wish it was a little cheaper, and came in one set with some more extras I guess
Comparing this to the BaF from the Legacy line doesn't make sense. The BaF was a regular figure, not 5 combing zords. However, $50 is a bit high. Maybe $40.
the zord i compared to is the original from the 90s , it was only 40$ when it came out and you got them all together! the new hasbro one comes out to 50+ tax and its really weak in my opinion
@@ROCCOTHEGREAT at 7:50 you say "this was a build-a-figure from Bandai". Also, comparing a 1993 $40 dollar price tag to a current day $50 just doesn't make sense. In 2004 a Marvel Legends figure was like ten bucks, and most had unique sculpts, large accessories, paint washes, etc. Now they are double the price, often reuse bodies, and often lack paint. Inflation is a bitch.
I bought mine today, just an impulse to have a combinable megazord again. I feel it was totally worth the price, seems well made and looks cool enough to display. I too had trouble with the clips on the mammoth, had to use a butter knife to separate it.
Im not rich, bandai is way too expensive. Megazord is my dream toy since i was 12. Finally Hasbro saves the day. And walla, my dream came true.. i have megazord. And its Christmas TYL.
Underwhelming. But to me looks better then the bandai knockoffs weve been getting for like a decade now. I dont mind it being expensive if its 1:1 comparable to the japanese release. (not saying this is) but it does show promise for future renditions of other megazords Edit: shout out to mystic force megazord, the last TRUE megazord toy

Rocko this is beautiful and amazing your wrong lol for never having one this made my dreams come true. Got a like for the great toy review and 10min song haha
In my opinion, the new one looks thinner (more show acurate) and the old one looks wider. For me it would be the only option to get it so I see it pretty well, but it would be even better if later they release the dragonzord, lol
50.00 in 1991 was 95.00 by today's standards. By that inflation, this would be less than 30.00 in 1991... It's much bigger than the current transformer leaders.
@@ROCCOTHEGREAT I saw that it's only as big as the Power of the Primes leader optimus. That is kind of bad. Only 40.00 on amazon though... I'm getting it.
Not worth $50, but if you want to get it for your kids then I guess so. Honestly to me it looks flimsy and could probably easily break. I think it would just be better to find the Legacy Collection Zords that seem to be better built.
The original one looks fat. I think everyone just has nostalgia goggles. I like the new model mode. The original having more decals is a valid argument though.
Yea The only complaint I have is that the same day the tyrannosaurus arrived one of the feet detached I was able to put it back on but it wasn’t as tight so sometimes it can fall But yea overall I like this new one since it has more articulation And the detail for me isn’t a problem since I can just put the details on myself The one thing I don’t like is how even tho it’s a cheap combiner they still didn’t give the triceratops its wheels back And the tail is one piece instead of the guns being able to rotate
