3:01 Sheez, I didn't know that the SOC dragon zord is smaller than ZAP. Yet I heard people complain about ZAP Dragon zord being small..
The Megazord legs are only supposed to be pulled out for tank mode. That’s why the gray pieces keep popping off. Shows it in the directions. Idk why they even bothered to make the legs slide

These figures just look amazing. The Dino Megazord and Dragonzord are two of my favorite mechas in the Power Rangers franchise.

Okay awesome review but two things that I would like to mention that the instructions forget to. One, the sabertooth tiger does have a heel that can flip out in megazord mode if you don’t use the mastodon panels. Two, the triceratops treads actually do extend down so you can see more details, just like on the SOC version. Figured I’d point these out cause the instructions really don’t say anything about these. Great job though, animation was fantastic!

I can echo what you said about them growing on you, I was put off by the stylized look at first but now I sorta like it. It's nice to have a megazord that takes a more sorta mechanical take on the design, rather than having it go for the same sort of look for the 5th time. I also sort of like how there's not as much weight or die cast on this one. The SoC megazoerd was the best looking one, and most posable one we had ever had, but It just wasn't that fun to pose IMO. The weight of everything sort of dragged it down. That's something I loved about the "cheap" Hasbro megazord actually, highly posable and easy to handle.

Great video. I expected the Megazord to break with how you were throwing it up in the air like that. I've ordered two of the cobra Kai skele-putties. I plan to use them with the pumpkin heads from pumpkin-rapper. I do plan to get a third one eventually.
I'm honestly happy with these. I think they are way better than people give them credit for BUT one thing every single reviewer seems to have pointed out is that they always have 1-2 QC issues. The chest constantly popping out or not closing because of issues with the claws, paint issues on the helmet, the leg armor constantly flying away while posing and some joints being either too loose or too tight. I feel like without these this Megazord could feel way better and maybe would make people be less angry about the pricing.

@@MMPRtoys that too! I saw another reviewer that got a similar issue with the blue and black ranger. I think the black ranger was just a recolored blue ranger in his case.
I've tried in Legacy Titanus and it does fit into the Legacy Titanus. Just need to adjust the leg to go in first.

I did order the cobra Kai figures. I think they’re not too bad for what they are Would like to have seen more of the cast but maybe that’ll be something we see in the future

I had the Zap megazord for like 2 days before I returned it, and I agree with the majority sentiments about this toy: the articulation and paint detail is cool, but it's not worth the price tag Hasbro is asking for. For almost $200 I need better quality plastic.
This is the comment I'm looking for. I feel like haabro is using really cheap plastic not enough quality material for not only power rangers but also transformers stuff. Everything looks cheap. I think I'll just go with the minipla thunder megazord

I'm shocked that you didn't mention the price? $165 for no diecast metal and gaps in the Sabertooth legs? This would have been an amazing figure at $100 but not $165.
I don't know what to tell fans about the price. It's a large figure that has a ton of articulation, fully painted, has extras, fancy packaging. I'm not calling it perfect, but I'm trying to find something to point to and say, "This thing was $100, so why is Megazord $165?" In 2018 they re-released DairenOh, fully painted vs stickers in Japan. That was over $400! The Legacy Thunder Megazord, seven+ years ago, was $200, also no die-cast. DonBrothers was $160, and that's a decent size and some of the most articulation we've gotten from Japan, but nowhere near as much paint or articulation as Megazord. If you want Don OnitaiJin to sit down, you have to buy a new version of the red Zord for $100. Things with a lot of paint and articulation get expensive, unfortunately. For people who follow us more in real time, GameStop was having a sale (which has since ended) but it was like $30 or $40 off. Maybe keep your eye on GameStop, especially this time of year. Many fans will repeat the pattern of the past 30 years where they complain, pass, then want the thing when it's gone, and then the price sky rockets. I always wonder why people who know something will go from $60 to $400 don't just buy a few and sell them later either way. Fans have a chance to not repeat that right now...

Honestly the only major issue I have with the ZAP is the prices (going purely off of what I’m seeing), but other than that, I really don’t get the hate for these zords. Not to mention people being ridiculous butt-kissers to the SOC and telling people to go save up and buy that. Yeah, with those outrageous aftermarket prices, sure. I’m sorry but no matter how good the SOC is, it’s not worth the $500-$700 it goes for on the aftermarket. Heck, I thought the $300 it was when it came out was too much.

Came back to see how you fixed the Dragonzord's mouth. I will add that I like these more than what everyone else seems to. Sure the price is off, but like you said, I am more comfortable handling these vs my SOC. Plus I sort of like the design changes. When I look at my other versions they seem very plain and almost cartoonish compared to these. I love all the Dragonzord's chrome, and I feel like if these had come out when the Legacy stuff was coming out, everyone would have been very happy with these. Strange days.
I think people are especially missing out with Dragonzord. These aren't bad (assuming the QC was okay 😋) Every year it feels increasingly like people won't be pleased with anything (yet remain fans?) There were a lot of good things from Bandai, and now there are a lot of good things from Hasbro. Again, not defending their QC issues... but still very possible to have a great looking collection. I still think SOC Megazord is great, but that ship has sailed for a lot of fans if they missed out back then. I remember even that wasn't up to the standards of some fans. Once the thing in question is no longer available, then it becomes the best and people will pay 3 - 5X the price... 30 years later and a lot of people don't realize that's going to be these. In the near future, people are going to pay way too much for what is currently collecting dust in a warehouse. Well, we have ours. 😛
Why do you think the MMPR White Ranger Tigerzord doesnt get as much love as the Green Dragonzord does? The classic Zord and the dragon always seem to get releases, but I'm yet to see the same love thrown over Tigers way!!
It's true. Frustratingly, so many kids LOVED MMPR, but I don't think many of them ever made it past the first season, or even watched the whole thing. 30 years later long-time adult fans don't know Titanus. When Once & Always premiered, there were so many people asking who Kat and Rocky were, some swearing Jason was never replaced. But those are the fans. That's what they remember, that's what they love, that's what they'll spend their money on. Power Rangers is 30 years old and it's like Jason, Tommy, Megazord, and then interest plummets. 😕
Fyi the megazord canons have 3mm ports which are compatible with the blast effects from transformers. Only reason I know is cause I collect both.

Great review !! Also I follow the theory that Adam and Aisha are instructors of some kind at an academy judging from the uniform. The Cobra Kai figures are cool but I don't even have the base ninja figures as is due to their price in canada and don't know if I really want to pay the same for less. Even though it would be cool to get them to use as a ninjetti with new chest medallions
I kinda wish the megazord came with effect parts, since we never see effects for the zords, like a frost effect for the mastodon or missle/laser effects for the triceratops and sabertooth tiger tails.

Amazing! I wish we got a 2010 Dragonzord I can't believe we didn't. I got an Auto Morphing Red Ranger Kimberly from a Flea Market.
I don't really see wishing for a 2010 Dragonzord. Just pretend your Legacy is from 2010 then, since it combines with that Megazord mold. We've currently got lots of great options for Dragonzord w/o wishing for more. Not pictured are the various versions/scales done by Super7, the Super Minipla version. Imaginext version. There were also some other smaller toys in Japan that did and didn't transform. (There was also the original Zyuranger version which is up on my shelf). I think we're pretty good on Dragonzord. What more could we want? Cool flea market find. Bootleg I take it?
Does the side horns sit flush with the mouth piece as they should?
They sit as shown. That's as good as they're getting, w/o maybe trying to heat them up and hold them in place as they cool. I haven't tried that yet.

Literally thought the cockpit was in the chest on the megazord not the head lol. Idk why it probably showed it in the show but as a kid it just made for scene to me and probably never put to and to together lol
The Thunder Megazord in MMPR S2 cockpit was in it's chest maybe that's why you thought that
I was really scared of breaking my ZAP Megazord and Dragonzord upon removing them from the box.
The pegs on the Tyrannosaurus legs were super stiff! As for positive, I really love the arm articulation on this Megazord.
Since Bandai's Legacy version had no bicep swivel, elbow bend or wrist swivel. Would love to see ZAP Titanus, since I missed the Legacy one.
I'm very tempted to buy these since the Dragonzord Battle Mode is my favorite zord combination of all time but I'm not sure it's worth it to buy the ZAPs just for that though. Maybe if I catch them on sale somewhere I'll be able to pull the trigger.

Hey Bruno I have a question can you please tell me is the rpm mega zord are compatible with samurai through Dino charge the American version because I noticed on my sword that I had ports so does that mean I can fit one of the samurai arms or the Dino charge onto my zord
they do not share the same mold as the rpm zords dont have the zord builder mold

Not sure if you're aware of this but the tusk can actually rotate downwards to make the shield more accurate.

This is one of the most fair reviews out there.What i saw most reviews are saying more about its disadvantages and flaws due to Hasbro making Transformers and people expecting them to make better.
Dragonzord's feet will always look goofy as oversized kneecaps. Shame there wasn't a way to swap them out as well with smaller ones. I really like those cannon covers though.
Are the buildings you use for the animation, N scale?
It’s surprising Amy Jo Johnson didn’t return for this special/episode cause we haven’t seen her since turbo a power rangers movie in the show universe it’s understandable why Austin didn’t return with his legal issues that we don’t know if they have been resolved yet or not
While it seems like Amy's been kinda done with Power Rangers for a while, she did appear in the 2017 movie. She has not been announced for this special, but, maybe they'll surprise us? Pretty good returning cast either way though.

You know I hope they do Thundersaurus Megazord. I used to have it and I own Bandai's Dino Charge, and Hasbro's regular Dinomegazord and Dino Fury. I may get the ZAP if I had the money. I couldn't even talk my grandpa into buying the legacies for me. He's dead, but even if he lived, if I asked his to buy something for $160, he'd laugh

I have SOC of Both with Titanus and they're epic in my collection. Sadly it's hurts my heart to say the very moment I decided to combine them all together.....the Dragonzords arm broke off. 😭

As much as I live MMPR zords and hoping they'll release Titanus to go its these, I hope Hasbro releases ZAP versions of the other Power Rangers zords....
In your next video where you do the full review when on these I really can’t wait to see some cool animation with these. My suggestion for your next animation is I want to see a scene of megazord fighting the dragonzord , and Tommy on top of a building, playing the dragon dagger/flute.
The full review? I did a first look/impression video at PMC, which has been up since August. This video is really over-the-top thorough. I'm not going to post a 40 minute video where I'm just sitting there slowly putting it together, if that's the kinda thing you're referring to. My goal is to make a fun video that moves along. This was about 75 hours of editing, and there's a lot of info here. Future videos with this will probably just be animations. The animation you described is represented here. I have Tommy playing the flute, calling the evil Dragonzord. Thank you for giving us what feels like a FAIR review of the ZAP Megazord & Dragonzord figures. The other reviews I've seen (excluding Emgo, he did a great job too), people just.. PISS all over these figures. Like, they're not reviews, all those people did was moan, whine & complain about the figures, their price points, compared the zap zords to other figures they clearly love a whole lot more, and worst of all, they didn't even fully review the zap zords! They just pointed out flaws & gave them a big ol' stamp of disapproval.
I too own the ZAP Megazord, a dear friend of mine bought it for me, knowing I wanted to save up for it because I hadn't owned a Dino Megazord for years. I definitely wanna get the ZAP Dragonzord, and eventually the ZAP Titanus -if- they end up making it so I can complete my dream of owning the MMPR Ultrazord.
It seems a lot of people have forgotten toys are supposed to bring joy. So many collectors seem so angry today. I wonder why a lot of adults are buying toys if they cause so much stress and anger. People say they want fancier things and then complain about the price. There's no way around fancier things being more expensive. There are a few QC issues or things that could work a little better as I pointed out, but even so, very good Megazord & Dragonzord. Fully painted, lots of articulation, lots of extras, unreasonably fancy boxes, Dragonzord got a lot of chrome. Some of the posts I saw didn't even have him posed properly. I'm a big kid. I actually like these things, otherwise I wouldn't buy them.
Just because most people don’t like it doesn’t mean the reviews aren’t fair, means it is not a good product
@@patricklove7055 Your comment doesn't sound unfair, but I've seen some of these videos. I don't know if we're talking about the same videos, but I've seen people who had very unreasonable expectations, and who also didn't even transform it right, and I'm guessing didn't actually spend much time with the product before reviewing it. I've been (very) active in the Power Rangers community for 15 years in December, and I read all of my comments (and comments in various other places online). I can tell you with 100% certainty that there is a lot of unreasonable. I really started to notice during the Legacy line. To me, the Megaforce line seemed kinda cheap, but fans seemed mostly happy with it. Then we started getting these beautiful Legacy items and that's when I saw people starting to get mad and more demanding. No matter how fancy the thing was, it "could have been better" by doing a, b, and c (which was unnecessary to begin with and would have driven the price way up, which was already too high for them). If you have unrealistic expectations and you don't know how to work the thing properly, you can't really give a fair review.
Another thing I always see is fans wanting a remake of some role-play weapon they felt Bandai did a bad job with and want a fancy updated version. They often mention the toys that were literally used as props on TV (yet they felt the toy they owned wasn't screen accurate enough, despite being what they saw on TV).
I would call my video very fair. These look great, they've got a ton of extras and articulation, fully painted. Dragonzord's also got lots of chrome. There are a few things that seem harder to do than necessary, a few things that pop out/off, but overall it also stays together better than some previous releases. Legacy Thunder Megazord was $200 seven years ago and didn't have die-cast or mini figures, the prices for these seem fair enough as far as things go these days. QC has been a running issue with Hasbro unfortunately. I would recommend only ordering from stores that have a return policy. If you get a thing that is messed up, send it back and try again. Since 2019 I've only had to do that twice, but it was very easy and everything's good now.

Think in what way? I haven't seen her in the show yet. I think it's cool they did that... but it's really hard to know what I thought before I've seen anything. I would say she looks like she could have been Trini's daughter.
