Bandai of Japan could easily rerelease this in their SOC line, just like what they did with SOC King Brachion. Things needed for improvement: Plug up the screw holes Remove Zord Builder ports Redesign White Tiger’s feet (no parts-forming) Use chrome on gold parts (horns, sword, tail) Chrome the die-cast parts instead of grey paint Brighter green paint on Lion Zord Swappable helmet piece with glowing eyes Redesign Red Dragon’s flap piece so it secures Maybe add mini figures that also rides Zords Bad thing is it might cost twice more than the original release.
Even if they made a soul of chogokin thunder megazord do anybody think there could be more improvements that the Legacy thunder megazord need? Because I don't see how they could make any improvement. Looking at the design of the toy I don't think there would be anymore articulation. Just my opinion. Please share any comments
I really feel like Bandai of America was hitting its stride when this came out. It really is something special and I don't think it gets the respect it deserves. I am just glad I was able to pick one up.
HOLY COW. NO RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED AND ITS ALREADY OUT. BRUNO, THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEW, I ALREADY KNEW I NEEDED THAT BUT NOW I AM FALLING IN LOVE WITH THIS IN A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. WHY AM I AT WORK WHEN I SHOULD BE TOY HUNTING. YES ALL CAPS IS NECESSARY. OMG THAT ARTICULATION, I CAN'T HANDLE THIS.
+Todd Jelken All caps is totally acceptable in this situation. Use that number though. Call a store and ask if they have it. If they say no, ask them why not, yell at them, then calm down a little and ask them to check other stores nearby. Then yell at them some more for not having it, especially if the other stores don't have it either! ;)
I was amazed by the Thunder Megazord as a kid. The story line of them being upgraded versions of the Dinozords was a great was to explain the change in Sentai footage and they still fit with the season 1 suits. The change to Ninjazords was a little clunky.
Whether you agree with the price or not, just note that this is technically our first full on "Legacy" combining Megazord. The first mmpr megazord was still just a reuse of an old mold utilizing left over zord builder pegs. It still had stickers and required plastic supports to compensate for ultrazord combination. This thing is built from the ground up and looks like it can support various combinations no problem. Unique sculpt and paint apps are always a nice treat. If you're living in the US they'll probably be a sale or coupon that can soften the current pricetag...if not...save up I guess.
Thank you for the review Bruno. I can't wait to get mine but I bet the price will be more than $200 here in Canada. Titanus was $199.99 when it first came out in Canada so my guess will be around $250 or $300 Canadian at most.
Damn it Bruno! You just had to be first! Anyway, glad you got it, and even decided to post a unboxing/review so quick. Enjoy it, hope I find one soon. Happy with most of the improvements they made over the original, although I wish those ball joints in Red Dragon were tighter to accommodate more poses. And the legs do make him look a bit lanky. Overall though, instant buy for this fan, my favorite Zord set. Here's to the Ninjazords, Shogunzords & Falconzord to finish it all!
Very impressive to get this video up so fast esp with all the animations. I was expecting just a quick, hey guys here it is gonna do a full video later. I am a little disappointed they didn't cover up the screw holes like they did with other legacy items. They got us spoiled.
+mbarrow49 Lots, and lots, and lots, of coffee. 12 continuous hours to get it up tonight. It's all anyone's been asking me for all week... so, it's here! It's up! Lots of other good things still coming too! :)
Great video Bruno! It was awesome to see you get the red dragon thunderzord you've wanted since you were a kid! I'm definitely excited about it and can't wait to get it!
Red dragon thunderzord by itself was always a favorite along with MMPR T-Rex Zord alone. Something about them fighting without the entire team was cool and the fights were so cool.
Epic! REALLY like how these zords look. Question for you Bruno & Mia... don't suppose, through your PR grapevine, that you know of any cool PR merch stockists over here in the UK - really struggling to find any more than the basic toy shop stock over here and we're missing SO much of the cool stuff!!!!
+Disney Toys Surprise Eggs The Ditzy Channel Yes I agree all I have I the 5 rangers the megazord and the gun I cant find anything else :/ and there are no toysrus where I live either
The only reason i would want to buy this toy is for the red dragon zord. That baby is beautiful. Also the mega white tiger zord is a marvel. It is sooo expensive though. I am truly sad. Great vid dude. Keep up the great work!
Just got mine the other day. It's amazing! As a kid I only had the assault team, glad to finally have the whole thing with tiger zord. I don't know about you Bruno but I'm having a hard time what mode I want it in, rite now it's the mega tigerzord lol
I loved the Thunderzords from season 2, was absolutely sad when they exploded early season 3! I wished that somehow they didn't, but we later wound up getting the awesome Ninja FalconMegazord that wound up getting payback for the fallen Thunderzords and destroyed the menace known as Ivan Ooze in the Movie. Was a great upgrade! But anyways! Love these Legacy line of Zords , I hope they wind up doing a new Zeo Megazord and Red Battlezord too
bruno my 8 year old son was subscribed to your channel and he's tablet died. So I subscribed on my phone. I'v watched every power rangers serious I was always a huge Tommy and Jason fan. My son is a huge fan I've taken him to the classics on Netflix so now he's caught up. So we recently got into sentai from marvelous on. My son thinks that go buster has the best zords. We think marvelous is the best red ranger lately. My son Kennedy wants to know who is your favorite ranger? favorite American series? And also your favorite sentai? You cost me alot of money friend, we enjoy you man kept it up....
the original thunder megazord was so tampered with, when compared to the japanese version. all the plastics that were used were pretty much just red and black, and the stickers were even more altered than on the dino megazord.
At Last the moment I've been waiting for, The legacy Thunder Megazord is finally released. last year that was one of the most biggest surprises ever, which I thought it'd never happen, but what I learned about this is never say never, I do now know they're taking their time on planning and making these Legacy toys. Anyway already got the legacy Tigerzord and once I buy the Thunder Megazord, I'll be really happy.
I won't complain about the price. The original release they double charged us, charging is for Red Dragon by himself and then the others in their own box so they could double dip. So boxing together for the double price is basically just a way to save packaging. lol
Porter Ranch?? That's the toys r us I always go for my power rangers and Legos!!!! Man I heard you say you shop at the Northridge Target too! You must live like right by me that's so cool. I'd love to bump into you at toys r us or something sometime you seem awesome. I go to CSUN and live off Woodley Ave lol I'd assume you know where that is
They did a better job than I thought with this. Far, far better than the OG Megazord. I do wish they had put some detail lines on the Griffin and Unicorn heads, but oh well. The elbows also look a bit too grey. The show looked like a darker shade. Still not paying more than $70 for this, though.
+Kendallski To Really...? Not a chip or scratch on any of my Legacy stuff. How are they handled/stored? :-/ Dragon alone would be more than $50 with all of the moving parts.
Very nice, I saw it at a convention a few months ago, but I think the staff screwed it up a little. One of the Firebird's wings were broken and it was holding the Sword but they had not taken the holder off of the sword. XD
just for the record, with my experience with the two thunderzords. I did notice that on one of them certain pieces didn't fit very tight on one, and the other one seemed like I was going to break the lion's feet off from detaching them. like on the 2nd one I got. I don't think I could pick up the whole assault team by any of the zords except the peg that holds the firebird. but the first one had a really tight fitting lion all together, and a loose firebird. the wings kept falling off. so I can see how some people have weird problems that others don't have with how tight or loose certain things fit. this thing looks amazing though. 10 stars
Always LOVED This Megazord It has THE COOLEST Red Zord (Looks and moves like a Dragon, turns into it's own Megazord form to fight on it's own, and it's a classic.) Original Transformation (First to just be a set of armour instead of a conecter set.) Samurai Theme AND IT LOOKS SWEET Plus it was apart of one of the strongest Megazord teams. They took a shot from Serpentera who could destroy planets!!
It's not up online for Toys R Us yet, how long does that normally take? Awesome review though, i can't wait to order my own. Will cost me an arm and a leg though, as i live in Australia
I wasn't really suprised with the neck of the dragon since they added more articulation to Titanus' neck but it's still really awesome and not just the dragon the thing.
+Toy Man 1976 But would people buy it? Every time these amazing Legacy things come out, people say "Pass. But I'd buy...." It's always about whatever's next. But when next finally comes....
+Eugene Gene It's only been out for a day or two. Have you called any stores and given them that number? It could even be in the back waiting to be put out. This is the first time we got something before you guys. In a very long time anyway. Maybe Legacy things come from somewhere else and work their way across the country starting here? We've been weeks to a month behind the rest of the country on all Dino Charge/Super Charge stuff. (Except for one Walmart in the middle of nowhere, CA...???)
+MMPRtoys Ok I understand. I live Georgia near Stone Mountain area. I call my local Toy R Us today and gave the number but it was not there yet they told me they should have it shortly around the next couple of weeks, my guess is the 2nd week February. That has happen before when the dino super charge toys came out a week before Christmas. Thanks again Bruno for the information and awesome review.
Only a few hours ago I was looking for a review video as I saw people posting on instagram that they got their Thunder Megazords. I couldn't find any, then, as usual, Bruno & Mia to the rescue!
Hmmm, watching Dairanger, I noticed a mistake Power Rangers made over 20 years ago. Yellow and Blue have their animal designations switched for PR. Blue is supposed to be the griffin and Yellow is supposed to be the unicorn.
I just want to say that the back legs/arm should twist so that the dragon is anatomically correct, but other than that, great review! I wish it were cheaper, but still the nostalgia!
+Jason Long Almost 130,000 views and you're only the second person who caught that. Sadly, errors do happen when you try to meet the "RIGHT NOW" demand for new stuff. Kills me since it's my favorite Zord ever and I totally missed it. :-p
Thanks! Very far from rich. I've been collecting for 24 years. I keep everything and take good care of it. I'm a toy person, my money was never going to other assorted habits (which might be seen as more "normal"), which can actually cost more in a year than a year of toys, w/o getting too specific. ;)
it looks like the solid plastic of the robot feet added to the head of the Dragon are weighing down the lower sections of the legs. add the gravity and those ball joints will give out eventually. it doesn't look like the actual robot feet are metal, so at least you won't have that added drag.
2 quick questions. 1) is there storage for the pieces you have to take of for the full transformation? and 2) how does the full transformation feel. One of my favorite features of this one was how a lot of the zords were more or less armor for the red Dragon. I thought that was so cool and made the thunder megazord stick out to me.
For some reason i still like the original Thunder Megazord more than the new one. The proportion looks better on the older model. Wish the newer one had better proportions.
I didnt have the legacy version. I got all them separately but this was by far my most favorite toy as a kid. I mixed all my toys and had a multi-verse thing going but the thunder megazord was the last to go down always. :)
Bruno how cool would it be if they made unmorphed 5 inch ranger figures with regular clothes (Painted on,as well as plastic hair) and maybe tiny battery props so they could morph :D
hey bruno is their any zord builder in the red dragon zord so you could combine the mastodon arms, tricatops and sabertooth tiger from the legacy megazord
Can you make a new Zord Builder Monster as I like to call them. With like as many zords from a many different seasons and just make this crazy thing. Our maybe a super cool combination. Like the Legacy Thunder Charge Samurai Force Mega Zord
Awesome video I'm mainly a morpher collecter So I haven't got a lot of the legacy stuff but I can't wait for the legacy communicator that's one legacy item I will be getting
I want Bandai to release Just the red dragon zord. I want one to desplay along with the Thundermegazord but I don't want to have to pay for an entire new one just for the dragon. It doesn't seen that farfetched for Bandai to do right?
Can't wait to grab this. I have to know, can the Red Dragon's arms come off via Zord-Builder when in Warrior Mode? If so, I'd really like to see the S1 Dragonzord in Fighting Mode, but with the Thunder Zords on it. Thanks for the review!
+ColeNadsProductions I would have shown that. I did attempt to pull them off... don't want to break it. The instructions do not show them being removable.
+MMPRtoys Thanks for getting back to me. Darn, I was really looking forward to a Thunder Dragonzord. I'm assuming the Lion arms wouldn't fit on without the Red Dragon inside, right? Anyway, thanks again for the reply and the great review!
+ColeNadsProductions Thanks. Red Dragon still looks amazing. If that were a Bandai Japan item for $250, fans would buy it anyway, even w/o the other Zords. The Thunder Megazord overall is great, but it's not perfect. Lion arms are Zordbuilder, but only when folded up, so... not really arms anymore. They could go on top of Dino Charge Meg or Super Megaforce Meg.
Australia has no Power Rangers toys what so ever except in Toy R' Us but they didn't have Super Megaforce in 2014 and the toys always come near the end of the year the season actually aired.
+MMPRToys any chance you could show Dragonzord with the thunderzord legs and tigerzord arms with the lion shoulders? I am on the fence on this and would love to see it like that even if you just took a pic of it like that and sent it to me that would make my day. Thanks for reading
I hope there's a Soul of Chogokin version in the works. There's so much potential.
True
If there is going to be one it’s just mainly going to be focused on the mega zord and red dragon
Bandai of Japan could easily rerelease this in their SOC line, just like what they did with SOC King Brachion. Things needed for improvement:
Plug up the screw holes
Remove Zord Builder ports
Redesign White Tiger’s feet (no parts-forming)
Use chrome on gold parts (horns, sword, tail)
Chrome the die-cast parts instead of grey paint
Brighter green paint on Lion Zord
Swappable helmet piece with glowing eyes
Redesign Red Dragon’s flap piece so it secures
Maybe add mini figures that also rides Zords
Bad thing is it might cost twice more than the original release.
Yeah! Come on, Bandai, give us a Soul of Chogokin DairenOh!
Even if they made a soul of chogokin thunder megazord do anybody think there could be more improvements that the Legacy thunder megazord need? Because I don't see how they could make any improvement. Looking at the design of the toy I don't think there would be anymore articulation. Just my opinion. Please share any comments
I always thought it was funny that the Thunder Zord looked more like a Shogun or a Ninja megazord than the shogun/ninja zords
Well, technically it has to look like an ancient Chinese warrior, cause Dairanger was inspired in Chinese mythology
It still amazes me how the red dragon thunder zord can transform to form a humanoid looking battle mode. Amazing.
I really feel like Bandai of America was hitting its stride when this came out. It really is something special and I don't think it gets the respect it deserves. I am just glad I was able to pick one up.
The Zords are ugly individually

Fiama98 In Season 3 destroyed by Rito.
I'm so glad the red dragon and assault team are sold together unlike the original version.
I'm moving and watched this vid to remember how to pack this back into the box, so thank you, Bruno.
Whether you agree with the price or not, just note that this is technically our first full on "Legacy" combining Megazord. I honestly feel like this is your best review yet. The lighting, the visuals, the details were great. I really love your videos.
I have always felt that the Firebird's head always gets the worst placement on the assault team and thunder megazord.
Thank you for the review Bruno. I can't wait to get mine but I bet the price will be more than $200 here in Canada. Titanus was $199.99 when it first came out in Canada so my guess will be around $250 or $300 Canadian at most.
+Wil So I certainly hope it'll come down over there too. :-/
Thanks Bruno I sure hope so :)
Need a hasbro version of this ♥️
Damn it Bruno! You just had to be first! Anyway, glad you got it, and even decided to post a unboxing/review so quick. Enjoy it, hope I find one soon. +MMPRtoys as always very much appreciate the effort.
+mbarrow49 Thanks :) And I do appreciate comments like this. They do help balance out some of the other stuff we get.
Great video Bruno! It was awesome to see you get the red dragon thunderzord you've wanted since you were a kid! I'm definitely excited about it and can't wait to get it!
I'm glad to see that it kept what the original mold had while adding the chain and swivel neck! Still not getting it at $200.
Red dragon thunderzord by itself was always a favorite along with MMPR T-Rex Zord alone. Something about them fighting without the entire team was cool and the fights were so cool.
Thanks for putting it out so fast man! You two are awesome!
Amazing!!! Simply amazing!!! I'm so glad I preordered this wonderful piece.
BRUNO THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS WEEK YOU WOKE ME UP FOR NEW VIDEOS im not saying that a bat thing
+Bunny Clause Did I? Or maybe this is all a dream! Is Jerry standing in the corner sewing your socks together at the heel?
Woke me up too lol
+MMPRtoys he is here
LOL
+Adam Hoyle Please send him back and also, he may need to borrow a meatloaf pan, if you have one.
Am I the only one who would want a true power rangers movie legacy megazord? The nostalgia overload would be real!
+HumidGamer No. Lots of fans want it. And it would need to be super shiny chrome.

I didnt know about all this zord builder combination stuff. Dragonzord with Thunder feet is such a funny image, but Im a little curious to try it.
YES!! I didn't know it was out! I must have this! Why is it not on TRU yet???
I won't complain about the price. The original release they double charged us, charging is for Red Dragon by himself and then the others in their own box so they could double dip. So boxing together for the double price is basically just a way to save packaging. lol
AWESOME! It looks AMAZING! WOW! At first I was not going to get it but now I have to. Thanks for the video! Well done!

Still not paying more than $70 for this, though.
then I am sadly to say I don't you will ever get it :p with original one I would understand but I think this one wont really drop so low :p
+Kendallski To Really...? Not a chip or scratch on any of my Legacy stuff. How are they handled/stored? :-/ Dragon alone would be more than $50 with all of the moving parts.
Idk why but I've watch this video multiple times and I have to keep hitting the thumbs up. It's not counting it.
I was able to find one in stock in Chicagoland area at TRU. There wasnt a space for it so I am wondering if its only in the back?
Very nice, I saw it at a convention a few months ago, but I think the staff screwed it up a little. One of the Firebird's wings were broken and it was holding the Sword but they had not taken the holder off of the sword. XD
Is it just me or does the full TM seem thin width wise? I mean compared to the screen used suit, or am I just to used to the 94 TM?
just for the record, with my experience with the two thunderzords. I did notice that on one of them certain pieces didn't fit very tight on one, and the other one seemed like I was going to break the lion's feet off from detaching them. like on the 2nd one I got. thanks for posting this! if it wasnt for you I wpukdnt have known it was in stock
Always LOVED This Megazord
It has THE COOLEST Red Zord (Looks and moves like a Dragon, turns into it's own Megazord form to fight on it's own, and it's a classic.)
Original Transformation (First to just be a set of armour instead of a conecter set.)
Samurai Theme
AND IT LOOKS SWEET
Plus it was apart of one of the strongest Megazord teams. They took a shot from Serpentera who could destroy planets!!
I can't wait to see the legacy Serpentera!!! *__*
So will you show the full transformation in the next video? Also is the red dragon free of Zordbuilder?
It's not up online for Toys R Us yet, how long does that normally take?
Awesome review though, i can't wait to order my own. Will cost me an arm and a leg though, as i live in Australia
Where did you get the display pieces for the dragon and Phoenix?
I wasn't really suprised with the neck of the dragon since they added more articulation to Titanus' neck but it's still really awesome and not just the dragon the thing.
I will shout from the mountain tops, "LEGACY SERPENTERA!!!!"
Now that would be amazing!!!
+Toy Man 1976 But would people buy it? Every time these amazing Legacy things come out, people say "Pass. But I'd buy...." It's always about whatever's next. But when next finally comes....
+MMPRtoys lol you're right. I honestly (if I could afford it) would get it. Without a doubt.
saw the Power Ranger Dino charge come back commercial and ready for it
Bruno were do u get them clear plastic stands for the zords thanks x
You finally got your dream-Red Dragon Thunderzord! Go #TeamBruno !
+Yayoi Ulshade It really is beautiful :-D
@MMPRTOYS: Does the dragon zord feature any ZordBuilder compatibility or is it a standalone figure?
Do you know if the feet from the 94 toy will fit the Legacy Firebird?
They need to bring it over to the east coast already. By the way thanks Bruno for the review.
+Eugene Gene It's only been out for a day or two. Have you called any stores and given them that number? It could even be in the back waiting to be put out. I'm glad to see it was released! .... my local tru opens at 9!
So jealous. $200 was very hard for Titanus. So I never got him. But I need this! This is my child hood in a box!
Bruno, that's so awesome. I got to find one... but the roads are all closed here due to the snow.
+SEO Toy Review How bad is it? What state are you in?
Pennsylvania. We've got close to 20 inches of snow.
I just got one for $90 at toys r us because the box was dented but the zord is in perfect condition ☺
Only a few hours ago I was looking for a review video as I saw people posting on instagram that they got their Thunder Megazords. I couldn't find any, then, as usual, Bruno & Mia to the rescue!
+M Gibs :)
0:04 Masterdon lion thunderzord power!!!!!!

I just want to say that the back legs/arm should twist so that the dragon is anatomically correct, but other than that, great review! I wish it were cheaper, but still the nostalgia!

+MMPRtoys I know!! It's my favorite too! I only have the old school Thunder dragonzord and want this one because of the detail and the articulation!!
I know it won't be this year, but what do you think the odds are of the Zeo line getting the Legacy treatment? hanging out for the Zeo Megazord!
dude, are you rich or something? you have every zord... :O awesome collection!
Thanks! Very far from rich. I've been collecting for 24 years. I keep everything and take good care of it. +MMPRtoys 24 years? :O well, congratulations my man, you really have an awesome collection, you are so cool man!
DasKaiserUGV to
Lev Sanchez to what?
I feel ya, Bruno. People spend $200 in a month on liquor or weed.
Are the legs floppy on the Red dragon thunder zord? It just seemed that any time you moved a piece or brought it up and down, it would flop a bit.
it looks like the solid plastic of the robot feet added to the head of the Dragon are weighing down the lower sections of the legs. add the gravity and those ball joints will give out eventually. it doesn't look like the actual robot feet are metal, so at least you won't have that added drag.
Wish the newer one had better proportions.
must buy megazord really accurate with the details nice video u guys keep it up
what did they called the megatigerzord in diranger i realy can't pronce / say it right do you rember bruno
jarrett vorce
I didnt have the legacy version. I got all them separately but this was by far my most favorite toy as a kid. I mixed all my toys and had a multi-verse thing going but the thunder megazord was the last to go down always. :)
Bruno how cool would it be if they made unmorphed 5 inch ranger figures with regular clothes (Painted on,as well as plastic hair) and maybe tiny battery props so they could morph :D
Bruno, does the Legacy Thunderzord has the tendency to lean forward? is he top heavy?
+Vu Tung It does lean forward a little :-/ It doesn't seem that top heavy, not sure what it's doing that.
how does the new release compare with the original? is it small and toy like, like with the re-release of the original megazord?
Behold the power of thunder! Awesome review as always! :D
so can you take the red dragon arms off and connect time to the dragon zord as well to create the "Dragon Thunderzord"
I meant connect *them
they really put in their all into these, no rush Bandai, we'll wait patiently for Shogun.
your intro is so badass!!
+Andrew Aguirre Thanks! :)
As always, great review/unboxing!
hey bruno is their any zord builder in the red dragon zord so you could combine the mastodon arms, tricatops and sabertooth tiger from the legacy megazord
+Larry K No, I would have shown that in the video. Just the legs.
K
Hey man can you tell me how that platform thing fits back into the box.....I can't figure it out.....thanx
+Tony Two Face On the bottom
+MMPRtoys Like if you flipped the box over it'd be on top.
+MMPRtoys does it like just fit into place or something
+MMPRtoys ok I think I just figured it out thank you
I knew that Legacy zords are impressive but these are far more impressive than others so far.
I love this megazord!!!! It would've been cool if it came with the little figures. I really want this! Probably my favorite megazord ever!
I'm probably getting this for Christmas. Especially since there's the movie coming this march. This is one of my favorite megazords, though. ;)
4:52 is Bruno gonna have to choke a bird?
Great video keep them coming👍👍👍👍👍
where do you get your display stands? everywhere I look they're always super expensive
+MMPRtoys It will be fun to play around with. It's a beautiful piece, I hope to find it soon!
hey MMPR where'd you get the green Dino charge Megazord
how far will they go with the legacy line r they going to make a legacy tor the shuttlezord
I see it possible but less likely than Titanus. However they already have been showing the legacy Falcon Zord at events.
+Hershel Jones I talk about Tor in this video.
Great video! That intro was sick
H
0:02 if you want to do a season 2 episode this is what you need for thunderzords.
hey Bruno did you ever find that power Rangers live movie tour
Australia has no Power Rangers toys what so ever except in Toy R' Us but they didn't have Super Megaforce in 2014 and the toys always come near the end of the year the season actually aired.
+MMPRToys any chance you could show Dragonzord with the thunderzord legs and tigerzord arms with the lion shoulders? I am on the fence on this and would love to see it like that even if you just took a pic of it like that and sent it to me that would make my day. Thanks for reading
OMFG I CANT WAIT TILL THIS IS DELIVERED AT MY HOUSE. PREORDERED MINE IN OCTOBER NOW THE WAIT IS OVER LOL
I subscribed after you did a remake intro of power rangers lol 😂
