Sorry if this was mentioned. I think tank mode, tyrannosaurus is supposed to sit closer to the ground with one more ratchet and the arms of the mastadon are supposed to be fully extended so it looks a little more sleek and tank-ish. Pterodactyl should also clip to the back mastadon legs with raised bit/clips around the blue and yellow painted bit. I like this set. As far as the tank configuration goes (if you can really call it that...) The Pterodactyl is supposed to clip in between the Mastodon's legs on back, not resting on top of them. And the arms should be straightened out with the shoulder guards closed over the upper arms, while being positioned in an upwards angle. It really sucks that they couldn't have at least incorporated wheels at the bottom the Tyrannosaurus's feet as well as the Saber Tooth Tiger and Triceratops, at least in tank mode it'd be able to actually move across surfaces like the classic 90's figure.. Oh well I guess.

Compare it to the 93 original release. In 93, people would have gone nuts for the play-ability of these three. And for about, if not less than, the price of the deluxe toy at the time? You wouldn't be able to keep this on the shelves. You're comparing a steak from your local grocer, to Full blood Wagyu Tenderloin (one of the rarest, most expensive steaks in the world) and calling the local steak trash because it's not as good as the expensive one. Give it a fair comparison.
These are awesome!!!! I just came across these at Wal-Mart sadly no Dino Rex, this is almost identical to the 1993 Mega Zord downsized but the way it transforms and painted.
I have the original 93 Bandai Megazord I had since was a little kid still in good complete shape and have it displayed with my other old zord sets (93 Dragonzord , 94 Thunderzords, 96 Zeo zords) I also have this 1 set in boxes and 1 built as the Megazord on my shelf. I will admit this one ain't bad for the price and yes they do make aftermarket decals to dress it up more but mine I used a thin tipped black permanent marker to detail the head, thighs and another red permanent marker to detail the 2 squares on the leg parts. Looks just fine!
I have been looking forward to this for months. I had checked my local Target since I saw some people reported that it was already out, but when I checked my local Target the past few times, they were not out. I also checked Wal-mart, even though I haven't heard of any news of them coming out there either, but as I predicted, Wal-mart doesn't have them, either. I did check online listings and there was a seller on ebay selling all three sets for 99 dollars, which compared to the 49 dollars it's actually sold for sounds like a complete rip-off for a new set. I had decided that every Sunday for the next couple of weeks, I'll check my local Target to see if they've arrived there and when they do finally arrive there, then I will make the purchases. I find it interesting how you have both the new Dino Megazord and an older release of the Megazord. 300 dollars is quite a lot for the older one, but given as to how you said something about the older one breaking, I think the newer one may be a better deal both in price and in stability. Having two of the same set of zords and having one set be individual and one set be combined together does sound like an interesting idea, but for me, I like interchanging them with having them be combined together and then split them apart. Right now I do that with my Uchu Sentai Kyuranger voyagers as well as with my LEGO Voltron. Sometimes have them be displayed combined and sometimes as the individual robots, and the same case will be for when I get the Dinozords. But this video did give me a few things to look out for for when I do get them. #AdaptKyuranger #PRRumorsTurnOutFalse
@@checob224 Yesterday, I went there and they had the Tyrannosaurus Zord pack and the Triceratops and Sabertooth Tiger pack, but not the Mastodon and Pterodactyl packs. :(
So I got the BD15 stickers, definitely a big improvement. Honestly after seeing how Hasbro handled the Combiners in Transformers, I'm a lil disappointed. They've shown they can do combining robots with paint applications and no stickers.
I bought this and they literally put the Mastodon M stickers on the wrong side so there's no Ms on the front. They're on the back. Other than that, it was fun to put together
The Legacy was $60 ($45 USD) in Canada when it first released at Toysrus (which was a STEAL). It had stickers, which was unfortunate, but there was also diecast on it and the plastic quality was great.
A lot of the Hasbro ranger toys have been cheap plastic compared to the bandai toys but they tend to have much more paint detail than what you’d expected from the bandai toys
Not sure if you had the original Dino megazord but that is exactly how it was in the 90’s. Like same mold was used to shrink down for these. Lost the trunk to mastodon and wings to pink one and legs to sabortooth
Just snagged mines today and its AWESOME! A definitely cheaper option over Deluxe and Legacy tho. Hope they release the Dragonzord to combine with it to make Dragonzord Battle mode!
So I just got this toy on special from Amazon as a complete set and the only complaint I had was the lack of articulation in the head and knees. Which I expected to carry over from the now discontinued super mini pla model kit. But it is still an upgrade compared to the original/legacy dino Megazord.
Clearly not Lightning Collection and looks a lot like the 2010 Bandai America mold (which was slightly retooled for their Legacy Megazord). But you know what, I'm getting it because there isn't a sticker sheet. I hate applying stickers to figures.
Hasbro just hasn't provided any sense of a roadmap. Unlike other brands Bandai had been getting quite a bit of momentum going. We were just waiting on Shogun Megazord to generally conclude the MMPR era. There were all premium figures(with some major shortcomings here and there). Then you got SOC Zyuranger/MMPR S1 zords. Hasbro hasn't provided a premium offering. The LC props they've done have also not been up the visual quality of Bandai's offerings. So it's this sense of not knowing if Hasbro wants to do premium items and announce such things before we start investing in the lower quality things. You can pay $50 or pay $100+ going up to $300-$500 for a reseller. SOC Megazord production is over and the big online sellers are out of stock. There really aren't good alternatives. Want Spider-man figure, you have tons of options. Want Superman.........I mean Batman, then you have tons of options. To this figure, I would have loved it as a kid. The Legacy Megazord would look like trash today If I had gotten that version back then. Certainly would never have touched a SOC.
It sucks that I can't find the others at my target, I did get lucky when finding the Mastodon and Pterodactyl, So now I'll just have to wait for the other 2
MCUcollector24 I hope Walmart or any other retailers begin selling this set soon, eBay re- sellers are sealing this set for 99 bucks and that’s to much for what we are getting and also ofcorse the official price is $45
Kind-of glad you had the same problem with the Mastodon that I did. I thought that I was having a hard time with it. I was afraid that I was going to break it.
2:20,listen to the guy. He says the truth. 2:46,wow,color instructions?! Hasbro is kicking it. 11:05,uh...wow. Could be worst though. 14:36,pretty good looking. Well, the original Zyuranger toyline you also had to buy 3 sets in order to get Daizyujin: powerrangers.fandom.com/wiki/Zyuranger_(Toyline)#1992 So it's pretty cool they're doing that tribute.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 Whoa, man. Not to worry. It was just an observation. Also,I don't like Zyuranger as a Sentai. I'm looking forward to Dino Fury since Ryusoulger...yeah,not looking good in terms of story and characters.
Well, BD15 has released some stickers for this set to upgrade it. I don't think it's half-bad. I have the 2010 one and this while cheap, it's something I can see myself messing around with, putting it in different poses, etc. Plus it's a great starter megazord for parents who want to get their kids into the show. I'm kinda hoping we'll see a Dragonzord to go with this.
When the Legacy Megazord is released here in the Philippines, If I am not mistaken, it was around P5,000-6,000 PHP which if you convert to USD it is around $100USD-120USD. It is very expensive here in the Philippines. Also, the Legacy Thunder Megazord, it was retailed around 10,000 PHP- 15,000 PHP ($200USD-$300USD) if I am not mistaken and that's a lot of money. I am so eager to get one myself but I have no money at the time for I am only a high school student and that kind of money is almost the same as my tuition fee so I feel bad about that. Now that I can afford to purchase one, the availability is impossible and the price is doubled, HAHA I wish I had the money at that time to purchase one. Hasbro released a lower quality version last 2020 and the price is not reasonable at first time it was released. For 1 pack of zord it cost 1000 PHP ($20USD) which is 3000PHP ($60USD) for the whole set. But now, I purchased it for half the price, 1 set for only 1400 PHP ($28USD) and I think it is a great buy! my son loves it and most of all I feel like I am 10 years old again. HAHA in fact I am the one that opened the package even though it was intended to be a birthday gift for my son. I do love it. The Hasbro Megazord is not a bad Megazord in my opinion. Coming from a non collector, it is a great buy. It brings nostalgia. I can't complain with the price I paid however there is still a lot more to improve for the product specially the hollowness and the lack of stickers. I have contacted a local dealer hear in the philippines for a decal set which cost 250PHP ($5USD), I think it is almost the same as BD 15 decals and it does bring out the best in the megazord. It is now detailed with the sticker set.
Thanks for the video! Bought these for my son for Christmas. I could not figure out the Mastodon and was worried about breaking it while trying to open it up... glad I wasn’t alone! Happy Holidays!
@@MCUcollector24 nope, turns out i’m just an idiot and didn’t push it in hard enough!! But thanks for the video which showed me how it’s supposed to be
Actually it doesn't seem too bad. I think its great that it actually seems to (almost) operate exactly the way the Legacy and the OG one from the 90's operates. I think it looks raised because of its 2 pegs that slot into the Triceratops and Sabertooth Tiger, instead of the whole knee sliding right in. The upside: -obviously the price -weight should be pretty light and balanced since it's all plastic The downside: -shortfall in quality parts -body dimensions/proportions are slightly off (as mentioned) The problem with the Legacy ones (being die cast) is that the metal actually weighs it down quite a bit and it doesn't stand properly. The original 90's toy was designed to be all plastic, and I don't know if this balance issue was factored in, during the design of the die cast model. I'd definitely buy this if I didn't already have the Legacy one. Great video, thanks!
Just to give you a recap on the MMPR legacy zord releases and prices when they first dropped. The First 2013 released Legacy megazord die cast was $79 / $80 bucks. But it had a very bad leg joint stability problem when combined into the mega-dragonzord. Dragonzord was relased in 2014 along with the legacy dragon dagger both for 80 bucks as well. Titanus was $200 but the priced dropped momentarily to $150. White Tigerzord and Saba were released in 2015 both for $80 bucks also that same year. Both the megazord and black / gold edition were 80 to 99 bucks. both of those megazords leg stability issues were fixed tightening them. 2016 was the legacy thunger megazord for 200 and the legacy blade blaster for 80. and also the legacy red ranger helmet for 100 bucks and the legacy ninja megazord for 99 bucks as well.
Idk if anyone has seen that thunder megazord that was shown overseas at a convention but I would like to see a version of this megazord with that kind of look from that thunder megazord
You've got swivels at the thigh, and below the knee. How would it look with the thighs rotated 180? The feet could be some kind of armor. Not accurate obviously, but you'd get proper knees.
Interesting thought, I can come back to this comment on the weekend when I get mine (if my target/Walmart has them) and try this feature, I will comment back if it does. Also, the feet can detach so you can sorta have normal knees, just a little peg hanging out to connect the feet. Very interesting
i think it looks kind of cheap but dude, looks awesome for a custom, i hope i can get one, i have the marchon dino megazord of 1994 with remote control with light and sounds but this looks pretty nice on a great low budget way
Dude I'm not trying to be mean, but you made this figure look 10x worse than it is just because you didn't know what you were doing. Play with the toy before getting on Camera bro. I bought this figure as soon as it came out, and I was very disappointed in it's quality, however it's not near as bad as it looks in this video. Not trying to be mean.

Same here, I want to get this bad boy but every time a go to my local target they don’t have them in stock yet, let me know if you find anything?
@@checob224 Yesterday, I went there and they had the Tyrannosaurus Zord pack and the Triceratops and Sabertooth Tiger pack, but not the Mastodon and Pterodactyl packs. :(
Eli J. Brony at least you found something but, I don’t even find one zord 😢
So I got the BD15 stickers, definitely a big improvement.
Honestly after seeing how Hasbro handled the Combiners in Transformers, I'm a lil disappointed. They've shown they can do combining robots with paint applications and no stickers.
Why has the Pterodactyl got two little holes in the centre of the chest piece?
That’s for the neck hinge, that’s how cheaply made these are
@@MCUcollector24 Oh geez, oh wow! Haha! Thank you for letting me know! What a flaw!
No it clips on the feet of the mastadon. Not hard to figure out since it's for little kids
Not sure if you had the original Dino megazord but that is exactly how it was in the 90’s. Like same mold was used to shrink down for these. Lost the trunk to mastodon and wings to pink one and legs to sabortooth
That's what hasbro seems too do they did the same with transformers since the combiner wars I think they are a great for 6 inch and kiaju dispalys
'90s version is epic, this is a piece of junk
Honestly this is the only type of megazord toy that should exist. Only ones that combine
Just snagged mines today and its AWESOME! A definitely cheaper option over Deluxe and Legacy tho. Hope they release the Dragonzord to combine with it to make Dragonzord Battle mode!
This looks well constructed! Looks about the size of the 2010 Megazord which wasn't bad either
Honestly minus a few differences it's almost the same as the 2010 Megazord
@@kevsil616 wonder if the original dragonzord could sit on top of it for just a cool display piece as the Mega Dragonzord
Where can I find these?
You could really spruce these up with a good paint job!
I did paint work on mine including a full coat of paint on the mastodon head
Kinda want it as a background thing so looks good enough may have to edit the mastodon head
Oh sure because Hasbro is an American and Bandai is the Japanese 😒
boii even if it was a low grade toy.. megazord is megazord still epic!
I'm so glad I still have my old original release Megazords
Can the Megazord’s arms be detached?
What do you mean? The arms are the Mastodon zord.
MCUcollector24 can you take off the arms from the rest of the Zord?
Jumbalia23 the arms are the mastodon so you can remove the mastodon, but the mastodon doesn’t come apart
Finally! A Megazord I can afford lol
It sucks that I can't find the others at my target, I did get lucky when finding the Mastodon and Pterodactyl, So now I'll just have to wait for the other 2
When are this sets going to be release officially?
Now, got mine in store
MCUcollector24 are you sure? Is not just target selling them earlier than it’s release date?
No street date or anything
MCUcollector24 I hope Walmart or any other retailers begin selling this set soon, eBay re- sellers are sealing this set for 99 bucks and that’s to much for what we are getting and also ofcorse the official price is $45
I have a link to the entertainment Earth preorder listing in the video description
7:50 i got the same issue here,
Kind-of glad you had the same problem with the Mastodon that I did.
But it was also available in a box set like this version too.
I hate Sentai purists so much -_-
opinions my ass.
@@coltongsSG Oh yeah,I forgot. My bad. >_
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 Whoa, man. Not to worry. It was just an observation. Also,I don't like Zyuranger as a Sentai. I'm looking forward to Dino Fury since Ryusoulger...yeah,not looking good in terms of story and characters.
Not even a Rangers Fan and I'm tempted to get this guy because I think he would look good with my Godzilla's
You dont flip out the hands for tank mode the cannons peg into the holes on the bottom of the mastodon feet
Why do Hasbro sell them separately?
Looks comparable to the 2010, which also retailed in that $40-50 range.
Thanks for the video! Bought these for my son for Christmas. I could not figure out the Mastodon and was worried about breaking it while trying to open it up... glad I wasn’t alone! Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas 🎄
en donde puedo comprar esas figuras?
The chest piece that covers the t rex head was stuck and snapped off on mine on the first time I opened it.
Ah damn!
The leg pegs don’t hold in place for me. I.e. when you shook the megazord my legs would fall off. Did i get a defective t rex?
You may have
@@MCUcollector24 nope, turns out i’m just an idiot and didn’t push it in hard enough!! But thanks for the video which showed me how it’s supposed to be
I rather have this than an expensive diecast version. Plus, I wish Hasbro would of given us Dragon Caesar to go along with this version of Daizyujin.
The upside:
-obviously the price
-weight should be pretty light and balanced since it's all plastic
The downside:
-shortfall in quality parts
-body dimensions/proportions are slightly off (as mentioned)
The problem with the Legacy ones (being die cast) is that the metal actually weighs it down quite a bit and it doesn't stand properly.
Any links to see what it looks like?
I’m so jealous of your soul of chogokin megazord!
Man that was an awesome megazord, very articulative and extremely TV show accurate
I wonder if they plan on making a Dragonzord and Titanus?
I don’t know, but I hope so
el primero y q parece mas grande no es de hasbro o si? veo diferencias en cuanto al acabado de color.
Those Power Rangers looks so cool I can’t wait to see you until you build it
You've got swivels at the thigh, and below the knee.
Rip out the tail, you'll have a proper waist. Even SOC couldn't figure out how to collapse the tail in he back.
i think it looks kind of cheap but dude, looks awesome for a custom, i hope i can get one, i have the marchon dino megazord of 1994 with remote control with light and sounds but this looks pretty nice on a great low budget way
I'm not going to buy that but I do want 6-inch megazord and we getting 12-INCH ZEO MEGAZORD!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope Hasbro make other zords of this kind
Dude I'm not trying to be mean, but you made this figure look 10x worse than it is just because you didn't know what you were doing. Play with the toy before getting on Camera bro. I bought this figure as soon as it came out, and I was very disappointed in it's quality, however it's not near as bad as it looks in this video. Not trying to be mean.
facts
I hope and pray that hasbro does one collector megazord per season. Every season deserves some love after being heavily neglected by bandai and even thought mmpr is the most popular, im sure megazords would still sell if they were from something that isnt mmpr
The little tabs on the pteradactyl's body right before the tail, go into the mastodon's feet for tank mode
They do
