      There’s a quick moment around 1:40 where Soto’s asking where his 520’ shot went, and an anglophone player points and says “allí” (over there). Like, maybe I’m looking too far into the gesture, but I appreciate both speakers using the other’s native language.

    We need to keep marketing these guys. They have incredible personalities. MLB has done a terrible job marketing thus far, but this all star weekend, they’ve done amazing.

      @@Dylan-us8bt Nah MLB hardly marketed Sho until recently. I remember watching this guy at the start of the regular season and thinking whoa this guy's special but nobody knew or were on board. Only about a week before the All Stars when he was plastered onto every sports channel and platform was when people, both mlb fans and non, started to notice.

    I'm a Dodger fan born and raised in Orange County, and I recently started to watch Angel games only for Ohtani. Pitching, hitting, he does it all. Dude is beyond special.

      Pitching and Hitting at the same time daily is very tiring. Next year if he wants to win he needs to rest before the HR Derby. He looked exhausted, but still did very well.

    This was probably my favorite round. As a Nats fan, I was rooting for Juan, but it was also hard to root against Shohei. What a fun player he is. Mic’d up players just makes it all the more fun

    I really enjoy hearing Shohei speak English and want to hear more of it. I love it when Trout is mic'd up and I hope they do it more w/Ohtani in the future although I think he's probably a little shy about that. But nobody cares if his English is less than perfect. Whose isn't? haha He's just FUN. Fun to watch, fun to listen to. My favorite player along w/Trout and Arenado. Gamers all.

      Yes, it will be a great rematch, but Ohtani really needs to rest before the HR Derby. He looked exhausted from playing everyday hitting and pitching. Not a very easy task to do, not anyone can do what he is doing. Just incredible.

    I live in Denver and have seen countless HR’s at Coors Field. But this was such a special night and I’m so glad I was able to see it in person.
    You cannot believe the velocity on a batted ball in that park at 5280ft altitude. It looks like they’re hitting golf balls.

    Everyone’s talking about shohei but Juan had done the deed in the biggest stage and is the most charismatic player you’ll ever see. I love em both. They are the best thing to happen to the game in a long time. Fernando, classy and ocuña too!
