Ive been watching the game for over 50 years now .He is like nothing i have ever seen .I thought his pitching might be a novelty act in the beginning , but now i believe he will win 20 someday if the Angles give him the run support , and if he just played the field daily he's a 40hr 120 rbi player now with 35 to 40 stolen bases ..It's crazy how many things he can do .I always have loved the 5 tool players like Willie Mays and Roberto Clemente . . I never thought we would see someone with all these talents who also pitches at this high of a level ..If he played for the Yanks ,Red Sox or Cardinal's , he would make 50 million a year and pitch to a sellout every time he hit the mound ..he is worth every penny he earns in the future ...what a treat to watch ...

I think that's what it takes to be two-way, no time to celebrate pitching a gem, use that time to determine what could be done better with the batting.

It at least showed that he does have the potential to have a better 2 day performance than the one he had in 2022 because in 2023 he has shown that he can bat just as well when he pitches.

As Shohei's fan, we felt so sorry that Ohtani's home run at the last game of last season stopped Mariners going into the Play-off. We would definitely pray for Ohtani to have home run at that last game because that would made him the 100th run and made the historical new 5 100s MLB record. However, I was hoping Mariners able to make it to Play-off even Ohtani got his HR. Unfortunately, Mariners lost the game as Shohei's HR was so destructive for the psychology of the Pitcher (And that Pitcher transferred to another team and took revenge on Ohtani this season and struck out Ohtani then and won the game). However, I assume Mariners would be able to go to Play-off of this season.
Actually Shohei hang on a Mariners coach's back (l think he's the pitching coach) and stopped him from joining the big fight between Angels and Mariners that happened months ago. Shohei clammed him down and that's why this coach didn't need to be punished by joining the big fighting because Shohei held him out of the crowd. If not, it might affect Mariners' pitching soon after the big fight.
