- See secret video I took of the inside of Marilyn’s house and surrounding grounds when it was listed for sale in 2017. Photos and filming weren’t allowed. YES, I KNOW THE FILM QUALITY ISN'T THE BEST. The camera work isn’t perfect because my phone was hidden in my shirt pocket. I was only able to film the house and grounds by hiding the camera. So please, save the snarky comments. Just be appreciative about seeing what I was able to capture, which has never before been seen by the general public.

It should be a historical landmark. It’s be a shame to change it more than it has been already.

I find the inclusion of the photos of her at 3.10 very moving. She stood and sat below the exact wooden beam and in front of that window. It's like for a moment only time and not space separated you from her....

Looks to me that there isn’t much left of the house the way it was when she lived there. The kitchen is totally destroyed and re done. Nothing left of her kitchen that she had carefully picked out all the tiles and colors. Basically the same with the rest of the home minus the swimming pool. Guess they left that alone. Whoever did this to her house is a total idiot. I would have left it as original as possible in her memory and would have tried to decorate it as close as possible as she did. What a horrible disregard for her life. It makes me sick.
If these walls could talk. Very sad to look upon this house and grounds. Even on a sunny California day the secrets of yesterday are concealed in the shadows. The scene of a murder and the biggest cover up ever.

If I were a millionaire, this house that belonged to Marilyn would be mine and I would never sell it. Marilyn Monroe is my favorite female idol. Thank you for uploading this recording where we can see how the house is inside and around the garden, the bad thing is the letters in the middle of the video that annoy the vision of the images. Surely the people who see this video do not know that Marilyn was murdered in the guest house and then they took her to the room where she slept dead and they staged the theater of the great lie of suicide. Damn Robert Kennedy and everyone else involved in her murder.
You are correct. Read what I posted about this video. There is a great book you can buy called.. Cursum Perfico:Marilyn Monroe,s Brentwood Hacienda. .Gary Vitacco-Robles it has the whole layout of the house and actual pictures of what it looked like when she owned it.

I found the house very peaceful,that's probably why she felt comfortable in there.

The new owner is jasmine chiswell. She adores the house, and a huge plus, she looks a ton like her. Like almost her twin!
@@drzmamiisofly17 that's not the same house. Jasmine stays in the honeymoon house that she owned with DiMaggio (her second husband). That's not the house she died in. Plus this house is 1-story, but Jasmine's home is 2-story.

Facinating! Marilyn would not recognize the kitchen, which has been completely changed. There is an eating area now where before it was an open area between the kitchen and guesthouse. All joined now. Marilyn's bedroom is unchanged except the entry door, and bathtub being flipped under the windows. I didn't see a 3rd bedroom, looks like those have been combined and the guesthouse, and possibly the poolhouse area have the 3rd and 4th bedrooms. The basic structure is unaltered, and I can only hope it stays that way. This is a highly important house on a tiny sliver of land, although it's one of the largest lots in all the Helena's. So empty now, once Marilyn's spirit roamed these rooms, planning the remodeling, planting much of that garden, where once you could see the neighboring house. Brentwood is very tightly packed, and very expensive.

@@kieshad9448 Oh, I see. There are lots of photo's online of her house during her life there, also models, aerial shots. There have been a couple of books done. One is "Cursum Perficio: Marilyn Monroe's Brentwood Hacienda" by Gary Vitacco-Robles. It is usually available on eBay. After studying Marilyn for over 50 year's, I feel like I've actually been there. Hope this helps.

It's a pleasant enough house but I could not live there. It's where poor Marilyn breathed her last after being deeply unhappy or murdered. If only she had shared it with a decent man who loved and respected her, she would have been saved that night.
Yeah probably the decent man she thought she had was the one who killed her. Dont put your security on anyones hands.. you need to take care of yourself.

Yep built in 1932 I believe. Creepiest part of the video is right at 5 min mark he goes into the room where she was found dead in. At 5:25 he passes right by where her bed was at

After Marilyn Monroe passed away, at some point a classmate of mine lived there for over a decade. It had been remodeled since Marilyn had lived there. Was about a mile and a quarter away from where I lived.

It's because it's vintage and pristine also, not just because it was marilyn's. Not to mention property and location. Alot goes into pricing houses beyond new age crap that alot of people don't value or want when buying a beautiful home.

The city should buy it and put the old backsplashs in after all there are photos and the original tiles are on the fireplace. And take that gosh awful white paint off the walls her house was Adobe. AND restore it and open it as a museum.

I think some of you people posting on here want to see tackiness like the Kardashians. It is a simple Spanish Style House which there are plenty of in Southern California. It is very plain because it isn't painted or furnished. Actually most spanish style houses a lot of people prefer the walls white. What did ya expect to actually see Marilyn Monroe & John Kennedy picking out wall paper. A bunch of damn stupid critics here that probably don't even own a damn thing.

I think this is the most beautiful house in the world. It haunts my dreams. Thirty years ago I climbed to the top of the gate and peaked over. That's as close as I'll ever get, but I love this video, it's almost like being there.
