Nutrition by Kylie is my go to channel! I swear that woman singlehandedly saved my life, definitely multiple days, with her recipes! They are all so delicious and easy to make!
the first recipe is such a childhood staple as a Chinese girly! Super comforting especially when you're sick and need something warm, soft, and easy to make 💕
because the top is usually uncooked and wet I wouldn't turn it over onto a plate but slide it onto the plate, turn the pan over the plate and then flip both together so the okonomiyaki drops into the pan cooked side up
Sesame oil is such a strong flavor you never need a lot of it to get good flavor. My mom went on a health kick many years ago and just started dressing her salads with a little sesame oil and rice wine vinegar. The entire family got addicted to that simple combo!
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time 😂 the chaos with the flip was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Thanks for the perfect distraction 💕
Steamed egg is my absolute fav dish! I prefer to use chicken stock, a little Dashi, and add a veggie like okra or spinach or enoki mushrooms. And top with coconut aminos, sesame oil, and a little Sriracha or gochujang. So flavorful!
Guys please! 😂 To flip a big omelette or crepe or something like that, just put a plate on top and turn the whole pan upside down. Then you can slide it off the plate back into the pan. It’s so easy 😅
i’m possibly too late to the party on this one but re: the protein balls, the reason why the flax seed is there is to act as a bit of a binding agent. flax absorbs moisture kinda like a sponge and then binds to everything around it, it’s often used as an egg replacer. think of the way chia seeds work in overnight oats, flax seeds are similar in that they thicken everything and give it that “bite” you’re looking for. replacing it with a blend diminished the effect.
I have all the ingredients for the cookie dough balls and I've been wondering what to do with them! Afternoon adventure incoming! Thank you for the recipe videos - not only are they fun, but I feel like you guys judge the recipes really well for me to know if I want to try it or not :)
Mybe it's just me but I can't stand raw oats, so when I get a pack I always bake it and keep in a jar, I add it to energy bars/balls, as a crunchy toping on salads/nice cream bowl. Ps, I'd love to know what herbs you used in the salad, thanks alot!!!!
the more curvature the pan has or like the more dense it is, the more difficulty in flipping it the way zenn was doing it. Using flatter, less dense pan would help otherwise definitely the plate hack works.
Whenever my okonomiyaki is too big or thick I transfer it from the pan to a plate, then with my hand under the plate and the pan over the dish i flip it back into the pan to cook the other side - less stressful method to prevent breakage. Hope this helps
😂😂😂😂 next time, a big tip put a big plate on top of the pan, turn the pan, and plate over together and slide the pancake back into pan👍 I do my big omelette that way every time. ❤❤❤XXX
So i saw a easy hack for flipping the omelets and tried it multiple times you just got to place the lid or plate over the pan hold the lid and flip the pan so the cooked side of omelet will be on top in plate or lid and then just slide the uncooked side into the pan
Omg, I acknowledge how unsafe it is, but that's how I sometimes cut avocado too when I don't want an extra dish to wash. Works out fine every time, except for that one time when I stupidly decided to do it with a serated knife and punctured my palm. It was just a tiny hole, so nothing severe.
Almost gave birth in the kitchen today🤣🤣🤣 Let me know what type recipes you want to see next!
Try some South Indian food like idly. ,Upma, dosa etc hope you like it ❤❤

the first recipe is such a childhood staple as a Chinese girly! Super comforting especially when you're sick and need something warm, soft, and easy to make 💕
exactly my grandparents would make that all the time! (in the microwave it takes like a minute)
Tip for flipping okonomiyaki, turn it over onto a large plate then just slide it back into the pan!
Yes. Or if the pan lid is flat you can also use that 😊
because the top is usually uncooked and wet I wouldn't turn it over onto a plate but slide it onto the plate, turn the pan over the plate and then flip both together so the okonomiyaki drops into the pan cooked side up

That’s what I was thinking too! Broth is better than water. It’s like the Korean steamed egg at bbq. Sooo yum!
Can you please give survival food a go. It will be a great education for everyone. Fun video, your looking great Tina ❤
That would be fun! Maybe after I give birth 😅
8:00 For flipping get a plate! Just put that on there flip in on the plate and just slide it in the pan again :) works like a charm

Its easier to flip in a pan that has more sloped sides! Though that entire segment almost took me out it was so funny 😂

Both sides cook evenly
i loooooooove tina tries it series 💞
the steamed egg recipe reminds me of the typical one i do but with chicken broth!
9:30 I choked while eating popcorn 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Steamed eggs pudding also tastes good with balsamic vinegar. I know it’s not an Asian ingredient but it tastes good.
the more curvature the pan has or like the more dense it is, the more difficulty in flipping it the way zenn was doing it. Using flatter, less dense pan would help otherwise definitely the plate hack works.
Tina can i get a hi i love your videos they always make me eager to cook and hungry!

Steamed eggs can have flan consistency if you get rid of the air bubbles. My aunt makes the smoothest steamed eggs ❤
I love these videos!❤😂
I want to try all of them this time round!
Right on time❤
Whenever my okonomiyaki is too big or thick I transfer it from the pan to a plate, then with my hand under the plate and the pan over the dish i flip it back into the pan to cook the other side - less stressful method to prevent breakage. Hope this helps
For the okonomiyaki flipping, my aunt flips it on a plate first and then slides the uncooked side on the pan, its a tried and tested method
Lentils are so good honestly. Replace half your beef with them in most recipes to up your nutrition!!

Good Food Tina Yong
I was going to post stop posting these food videos without our lovely Zen.... Xen?
But SHE IS HERE! Sending my love to you both.
healthy but yum❤
First one looks like creme caramel 🍮
The flax/chia would have had stronger binding power and firmed up the bites! Since you used a mix, you just needed a bigger quantity.
I'm gonna try that next time! Thanks for the tip!
Flipping tips, transfer it to big plate, then transfer it back to the pan
Words of my beautician: "I'm screaming!" 😂
Soo good.
the chaos 😂
I need to see Tina's vision of the outro 😂
might only happen after i give birth lol
The fear of the knife, it’s felt scary 😱
You should’ve used the lid hack in flipping that cabbage pizza or what do you call that hahahaha
