I pray God gives me the strength to perform this song perfectly like this woman
Absolutely stunning. Amanda Forsythe is the baroque diva of our time!
Yes she’s fantastic isn’t she
Amazing Glory to God . ❤
Great 👌 piece that surely must find resonance with God's Angels in Heaven.
Handel and Amanda : heaven!!!
So beautiful! I love how lively and light it is both played and sung. My feet and my heart are both equally moved by this interpretation!
One lf the best. Delicious voice and interpretation 🙏🏼💜
Absolutely stunning. Totally in control of every tone and sung with intention. Beautiful clear voice and so expressive. I am in awe of everything AF sings. One of those rare Baroque performers that do not sound like a sewing machine gone wild.
Her voice is perfection!!!
Thank You for bringing Heaven to me tonight...I laughed uncontrolaby and cried with soulful sobs...this was truely a Heavenly experience...🙏
19 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion, shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, thy King cometh unto thee; He is the righteous Saviour, and He shall speak peace unto the heathen
The soloist makes the words come alive with her expressions!
Goose bumps! That high C on "King" towards the end was inspired. Amanda owns this aria every time she sings it (and differently each time, also!)
Thrilling!
просто умничка , изумительный тембр и подбор
Great!!!
Vozeirão tem esta cantora. Ela é perfeita para as obras de Haendel.
Not sure that this performance can be topped. Forsythe sings with a kind of electricity or verve that keeps her voice riding on top of the music. There's no hint of a lag in her coloratura or ornamentation. Why isn't someone recording her more - or Boston Baroque for that matter.
It is very beautiful! Have you seen Jeanine de Bique’s performance? Also amazing.
Pretty nice, yet a few ruptures in the coloraturas... Can't reach early Joan Sutherland's marvels, though!

For what this soprano is she is well schooled. She unlike sooooo many who sing with this group has good tensions ( yes they are needed) strong support and appoggia on the flow so it is. It is not some droopy lazy nonsense. She also plays with diction well thankfully . The aspirations on the coloratura are slight and could be cleaned up to be legato… but this is a very useful and rather beautiful instrument. The orchestra is tiny in sound to an annoying level the rhythms lazily accented. It is hard to believe this is almost 25 people or do. Sounds like 12. Yawn. Perlman needs to wake up this is not Baroque this is just boring. The soprano can do more and elsewhere.
