You never cease to create a fun and beautiful piece of art with what seems like utter abandon. However, I think it is your years of experience joined with whimsical intuitive moves that produce some sort of magical color effect. I am amazed at how often you can do this! I think you are an amazing art teacher!
Loved this one! I was looking for a painting for our church auction. Wrote “To everything there is a season” on it and bingo Bango! Thank you! Thank you!
I so appreciate your attitude towards painting. I struggle to "let go"--and I blame an artist friend for that. When I first started experimenting with watercolors, OMG---she had RULES. It scared me to death. EVERYTHING I did--I was doing "wrong". Ruined painting for me. I have just now, years later, started wanting to try again. I wish you had been the one I ran into first. Thank you so much, Ellen!
We love your loose watercolors. We (seven ladies)are at Cedar Hills Church, in Sandpoint, Idaho, following your beautiful abstract autumn leaves tutorial. Thank you from the bottom of our autumnal watercolor hearts. God bless, Louize 🍁
Thank you for another great lesson! Your yard is so beautiful! I’ve learned so much from your videos! You make me feel like I can do this! You explain the steps so clearly and that you don’t have to be perfect with our art. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent! I love this fall picture.❤️
@@ellencrimitrent I’m at least gonna try! I’ve moved from decorating cakes to my grandson playing doctor🤣 and thanks for the tip about taking the pictures. I did retake a picture of my Japanese maple as soon as I got home and it really works!
Wow, lovely place you have, I live in southwest New Hampshire.... you had color much longer than we did! Anyway, nice idea for a painting. Thanks! 😁 BTW I liked it when the brush split... that was interesting.
Thank you Ellen, this is gorgeous. I love that transparent, soft wash you have created as a background gradually making the foreground more defined with the harder edges, I will definitely be trying this. Xxx
Hey Ellen 👋 what a gorgeous backyard you have, all the fall colors in full display, most all the leaves have blew off the trees here in Tn. Your abstract is beautiful and I tried to paint with you and I enjoyed it as always. Thanks for sharing and teaching us the ins and out. Looking forward to the next one 😊💜🎨
Fall in New England is glorious! Even my backyard which is not landscaped and forgotten most of the year springs to life and blesses me with beautiful color! Thanks for this great video.
I am so glad I found you online. Instead of realistic painting which is hard for me, I love the looser style and making it fun. I have tried many of your tutorials and been happy with them. Thank you thank you and promise me you’ll keep them coming
Such a nice one. I can feel the movement of the falling leaves in your painting. I will try it for sure and I'm getting better at painting fast! Thank you for sharing your great ideas and teaching skills. I can feel your great passion too.
Such a beautiful painting, I love the botanicals! Watching your video, the Paynes Gray that you are using is a nice gray tone, the Winsor & Newton I am using has such a blue tint. I have started to purchase replacements with Holbein that you use in your pallet. I was not aware that there would be a difference in the tint per brands.
I love fall!! The colors always make me want to paint!! Have not tried anything like this, looking forward to trying this out!! Looks like lots of fun!!
This was so fun and relaxing to do. I so enjoy your tutorials. I learn many new things Thank you so much for putting in the time to make the tutorials.
So pretty - just started spattering and it is fun! Also I love the leaves and here you don't have to take them all up - just enjoy. Big leaf maples about a foot across. Yellow
This was so much fun and the layering lends to such a dynamic and intriguing painting. So many places for the eyes to travel. Thanks for giving us another example of the results of unbridled play!
Just found you site--- Awesome.. I wanted to know more about the 8 paint palette you are using.. Is it plastic or Porcelain...I like the size and wanted to know who makes it. I was not able to find one on Amazon. .. Love you work.. and it's so great to learn so much. thank.. Patty
This turned out beautiful , your singing added to it 🤣😍 thank you for the tutorial 😊
Thank you for this! Thank you for the reminders to 'get out of your perfectionists's head!" Gonna try this today - just for fun!
Right on, fun…I have to remember that..
