OH me oh my !!!! This is calling my name! I have never a patron supporter of anyOne but you won me over... I a true beginner..I was an ICU Nurse for 25 years then I had a brain tumor as removed I had a stroke. :Dr and PT&OT wanted me play watercoloring (there is a name for therapy) basically it trying get what good brain centers to reach a part of to retrain.😇
God bless you sweet tater queen! Thank you for your years of service in ICU. I have a brother who was an ICU nurse for 20 years. He’s moved into skilled nursing now though. I love all of you who take on this challenge in Healthcare. It’s not easy because you get it from both sides, doctors and patients. Best of everything on your watercolor journey. You’re going to love it especially with Ellen. She’s a master watercolorist and I’ve been following her since I began my journey 3 years ago. I’ve learned so much from her. She was my first watercolor instructor and I come back to her again and again. She has an easy going approach and helps me to keep calm and not take it all too seriously. Blessings and Love. 💗🙏
hey same here. retired nurse because of similar same problems. I love the painting therapy and it does help so much! 😊 thank God for these wonderful videos and paintings!
Love it!! Just what I've been looking for...you covered many "tricks!! I'd love to see more of them as this style is great practice for many styles of paintings. Thank you!
I imagine using silver watercolor in a winter scene, maybe a rose gold in a spring painting, bronze in a summer creation. It’s endless! So yes please. More.
Love the colors and design! Boy would that look perfect in my bedroom wouldook great with my drapes! Cocoa brown, creamy beige, creamy color, tint touch if light teal I could add to my painting it would be perfect.!!!
Love the colors, love the technique.. flowers are my favorite subject.. I will attempt something like this with acrylics, my favorite medium.. thank you for the inspiration.. 🥰😊
Excellent video Ellen. This is my favorite technique I’ve learned from you. As I’ve said, I use an old glass cutting board and flip it to the smooth side. It works great and I recently had many hours of painting fun creating my semi abstract watercolor bookmarks of Florida sunsets. The family and friends in Colorado loved them and I have you to thank for helping me with my creativity. It truly is a creative, loose way to paint. I love it. Blessings to you and everyone!💗
🤗..you are huggable sweet..love your art..Your mind..so uplifting..my favorite among all channels..💕🥀💕 I have worship music in the background.. this together makes a real prayer of thanksgiving..praise the lord❣️👑❣️ Happy day and blessings in the lord Jesus Christ our savior..🤍🕊️🤍 much love dear Ellen and everyone here..♥️🪔🗝️🎶🦅♥️..Shalom
Hi Ellen another great and insperational demo again I hav,nt been doing any painting for a while but it,s great to watch something get up and go again 😁so thanks and hello again from the U K
I love these abstract tutorials, Ellen. Mine came out a little lacking so I splashed on a lot more metallic paint in bronze and Arab gold. Please keep these coming. Thanks so much!
Very, very cool work and technique, Ellen! Love the similar one you painted of the Queen Anne's Lace flower field using the same technique. Thanks so much for demonstrating this awesome painting, I love it.
Little mistake.. I bought Canson XL 140 lbs. watercolor. I did wet on both sides my paper buckled , & I couldn't mop up like your delightful dabs. What did I do wrong? It was dry so quickly. I did put in the etched line, I used a dry Faber Castell . I appreciate your lessons for one such as me as I have been at this for a year or so. Maybe its's Halloween month, & I watched one of the old vampire movies.
Love love this!! Super newbie here and struggling still (having painful arms and hands doesn't help but I'm dealing) but these abstract types of tutorials from you and a couple of other faves are my teaching go tos. They are actually more helpful to me than any other stye at least till I get some experience under my belt. These make me comfortable, more relaxed. There was 4 I think techniques in this one and don't even find it daunting or overwhelming because one can even leave something out. I will start and do it one little thing at a time. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us :D
This looks like fantastic fun! Do you have to have a great imagination before hand or does it just come once the brush is in your hand.?? Is the gold paint watercolour paint or does it matter? Going to have a painting party! Thanks,

Where can I get the tray you are using?
This looks like fantastic fun! Do you have to have a great imagination before hand or does it just come once the brush is in your hand.?? Is the gold paint watercolour paint or does it matter? Going to have a painting party! Thanks,
Great fun! That piece of white plastic looks like a useful tool. Where can I find one?
Love to start mine but hurricane Ian is slowly moving over Florida. The power could go out at any time.
Stay safe.
Really great… will try it tomorrow yvonne Geneva
Will silicone work in place of laminate?
Love! WHERE are your mini watercolors these days??? Thanks!!
I also LOVE the minis. Feel its easier to make recognizable shapes.
What brand of palette is that? Is it just called a plastic palette?
