Absolutely one of the greatest guitarists ever. That is all.
AND SOME.!!!
Alvin Lee-truly one of the most underrated guitarist-as well as the rest of the band. RIP
I think most thought he was a great guitar player.
This is such an epic performance by Ten Years After at the Marquee Club in London, 1983. You're so right guys, Alvin Lee is a really underrated guitarist and that is so wrong. He really excels here with his fantastic long guitar solo not forgetting his harmonica solo too! The other members of Ten Years After are also superb, Leo Lyons does a great job on bass, Ric Lee, fab drummer and Chick Churchill excellent on keyboards. Jimmy Page used a cello bow on his guitar, Alvin Lee used a drumstick! Also loved the way he used his harmonica as a slide on the guitar. I'm so glad you enjoyed this fabulous performance, guys, just what we need isn't it? Thanks so much for a great reaction. All the best.
One of the fastest but with such feeling too, you could hear every note he played even when he let rip, so exciting and up there with the best ever.
I was there. I’m the keyboard son and was 14. It was loud and the marquee was small. The back room, all the bricks were signed by famous artists. Next day we flew to Amsterdam to play a festival. I loved it.
WOW! I am jealous. No, wait, I am envious of you. That had to be great.
@@guidosarducci I didn't know at the time how good they were. I thought, as any 14yr old would, that everyone played like this.
@@alexchurchill8602 I must agree after thinking about it...I forgot how the 14 year old mind works as I am about to turn 72. However, I still LOVE Alvin Lee and whatever musicians he played with. They were all stinking great! And I still envy you for that experience. ✌❤
I’d Love To Change The World is a fantastic song by this group. Stay safe guys. ❤️💙💛❤️🇺🇸😘😘
Hi Elizabeth, they reacted to this fab song in January 2021. Cheers.
Not even in the same ballpark as this one.
Glad you mentioned the drumming. Ric is a fabulous drummer and a great guy. I see him every week. Still playing!
Love the way the drums and bass supported the guitar. Amazing and so cool! Thanks so much guys!
Goose bumps!
I was lucky enough to see Alvin five times, twice with Ten Years After (including my 2nd concert ever, in 1974), with Ten Years Later and twice solo. Phenomenal shows every time. He was my first big inspiration when I started playing. Check out 'Good Morning Little Schoolgirl' from the Recorded Live album, if you want to hear one of his best solos ever, with Leo Lyons going wild on the bass.
I saw them ten years before.
Saw them 70. Goose lake. Jackson Michigan. Peace ✌️
Alvin Lee is one of the greats! He can play 😉. He is another British musician who loved American blues.
You should listen to everything you can find by Ten Years After whether you do reactions on them or not. They were a great band and he's one of my favorite guitarists.
Listen to their song, "50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain"............….....
An Incredible Legendary Performance from a Legendary Amazing Band: Ten Years After. Definitely among the gods of Rock n' Roll!!! Great reaction!!!! I forgot the name of the song and I was screaming "Help Me" from this guy's guitar playing Wow!!! Chills all over my body!!!!! OOOOooooouuuuuu.....hahahaha...........lol................hahahaha
Thanks guys, for reacting to TYA and Alvin Lee. Anything by the band TYA or Alvin solo will not be a disappointment. If you get an opportunity, try this one - Ten Years After - I Can't Keep From Crying - 8/4/1975 - Winterland (Official)...ruclips.net/video/icWcaP0_L2o/видео.html
Thanks for sharing, it’s one of my favourite “long” songs.
One of the best to ever live and play. Thanks guys another great reaction.
Did yall notice when Alvin used his harmonica as a slide on his guitar? Now this is pure Rock & Roll Jamming right here .. luv it!! Peace Out ✌🏼🤘🏼❣️
One of the true greats 🎸🔥 So underrated but if you know, you know 😉
Leo Lyons. Extremely underrated bass player. A phenomenal style and his playing on Woodchopper’s Ball is second to none. He stands with all the greats imo.
I’m making some supper….having coffee…..nice selection. Great song😘😘❤️💙💛
My favorite Blues Rock group and Alvin Lee my favorite Blues Rock guitarist of ALL time. Saw the Original TYA 6 times and Alvin Lee 4 times without TYA. The first time was April 4th 1970 at the Capitol Theater in Portchester NY. This version of Help Me is very good. But in my opinion ( it's only an opinion) the best version is from the Fillmore East Concert in 1970. Listen to cd Ten Years After Live At The Fillmore East.
Alvin Lee, uno de los mejores guitarristas de la historia, excelente blusero. Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina !!
It's about time someone reacted to TYA great job guys
Now you gotta check out Good Morning Little Schoolgirl , live at Winterland !
Bad ass!!
😂😂😂😂😂👍HO MY GOD DUDES! Thanks to you, I, JUST, realized, ALVIN, is not asking to someone to help him! 😂IT'S THAT FUCKING GIBSON, ASKING FOR HELP! HE'S KILLING IT! 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍TOO COOL! WHAT A PERFORMANCE! INSANE, THAT'S ALL! AND, WHAT I LIKE SO MUCH WITH ALVIN LEE, (WHICH WAS ALWAYS KNOWN AS THE GUITARIST PLAYING THE FASTEST ON THE WORLD), IS THAT HE GOT IS OWN PHRASES! I DIDN'T USED THE SAME PENTATONIC SCALES, LIKE ALL THE OTHERS GUITAR HEROES! HE'S SOUNDING UNIQUE! WHAT A MUSICIAN! I LOVE HIM! THANKS GUYS! PEACE FROM FRANCE BRO! ✌️👍😂🎸🇫🇷
And Rolling Stone doesn't even have him in their top 100 guitarists of all time! So absurd.
The Traveling Wilburys - End Of The Line
I believe that guitar is now owned by Joe Bonamassa. Great reaction.
Not owned as far as I know, but he did use it on a concert of his.
Yeah man Alvin Lee had their music on 8 track just to show how old I am
Got to see him once
❤️❤️❤️ from California
Alot of comments for other bands..... Bros.... Do some more TYA!!!!!
Ten Years After are a British blues rock band from the 60s-70s. They had some great songs such as "I'm Going Home", "Hear Me Calling", "I'd Love To Change The World" & "Love Like A Man".
50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain TYA
Do Rory Gallagher Bullfrog Blues! You will love it! More kick ass blues.
I’ve never seen these guys live before. This is pretty amazing. Good choice 🌺✌️
Look for their Woodstock (1969) appearance, specifically "I'm Going Home [by helicopter]" on RUclips. You won't regret it! Also, try a few of their albums, like "Ssssh" and "Cricklewood Green."
Blues you can use ... choose da'Blues!
Dude....the best reaction no doubt💚💚💚💚💚
Hey guys. Sue from Canada 🇨🇦 thinks it's time to revisit scorpions 🦂 No One Like You. Trust me you'll love it 😀
Try the Sonny Boy Williamson version.
Roy Buchanan .
Roy Buchanan ... Did I say Roy Buchanan also ?
Alvin & Roy = 2 of the greatest blues shredders to grace humanity .
Alvin’s the real guitar slinger!
Tank you Bro action... specialmente perché avete messo tanti video in una volta sola da quando li ho chiesti?😏 Grazie dude
Dudessssss come on Emerson Lake and Palmer live 1992 Royal Albert Hall Tarkus pictures at an Exhibition or 1997 Montreux jazz festival same songs 💥💥💥 ✌🏼❤️🇺🇦🇬🇪🇺🇸
Another Queen reaction 😏 posso consigliare molte...
Love this!
If you like live shows. Watch George Michael and Elton John. Don't let the sun go down on me.
Dude??? Hitman ( Queen) ....🙏
bro in this time of war you should listen to "Civil War" by Guns n'Roses... you won't regret it. Promised.
Guys i highly recommend to you to listen the song "Its a Mistake" of Men at Work. This song represents all the tension that the world had during the cold war and also represents what is happening now in Ucrain. Must listen with the music video! Gretting from Chile
Love MAW... Overkill my fav song
You should react to Feel Like Making Love by Bad Company. Iconic rock song with great guitar. Love your channel. Atlanta, Georgia. USA
Robert Johnson, BBKing, Muddy Waters, Bessie Smith, Lead Belly. TRUE founders of the blues..
@@daftoptmst yes but they listen to other types of music. Love your suggestions too.
Great reaction, guys. But you missed the best version of this song (album "Recorded Live", 1973)
This is an outstanding version as well with the big plus of being able to see Alvin at work.
Seen them Twice in Germany 1972 in Army, I think the best song is One of these Days, not Pink Floyd song just same name
Sweet dream dude👍💚💘
💥😇😈🤩....
Wow good choice guys. Alvin Lee was a very bad man!!
It’s a shame you are passing up many of the great classics for Patreon recommendations.
