I forgot how magnificent they really were, no gimmicks, just straight up talent with all it's members working together to create this unique sound that will never be duplicated....great suggestion!
I told you this was magnificent!!
Good choice Julie. I knew and this video before and I was happy to see this song of TYA in reaction from this charming couple. Really good choice 👍, Bravo Madame, depuis le Québec. Daniel. 👋
Ten Years After were such a great band on record and live ❤
I saw them play this during their Undead (very first) tour of the USA. Nobody had ever heard of them, but Bill Graham heard their 1st highly underrated LP and invited them to tour America. This video shows, probably better than any other I’ve seen, just how mesmerizingly good TYA was in a small club venue. Bill’s Fillmore West in San Francisco had the best musical acts of the day, and I saw most of them. Cream, Jimi, Traffic, Who, on and on. Honestly, none of the bands could touch TYA in a live performance. They were so tight, so professional, and Alvin Lee in his white clogs was jaw-droppingly spectacular….
Alvin Lee is just fantastic ❤
That song is also off their album , UNDEAD , but I have not seen or heard this version , thank you for that , loved it !! More people should be turned on to Ten Years After !!
Sad thing, as well, is that most people don't know who Alvin Lee is. Just a super talented guitarist!
Fastest fingers in the business.
Seen them in Detroit, Michigan during the 70's. They were the warm up band for BTO, but BTO got booed off stage. Alvin Lee came out and asked if we wanted to stay and party. They came back on stage and played for like three hours. One of the best shows ever.
YOU GUYS ARE GREAT KEEP GOING!!
I am so happy to see your couple making reaction of this song, one of my favorite one, not just about the band TYA who make the prestation, but also this song in his genre. For me the prestation of Rick Lee, on the drum, it is a big part of my enthusiasm. Jazzy style, boogie speed what a beautiful explosion of rythme 🥁💥. Each musicians make a great fun of jamming together.
Merci encore and sorry for my English. Born at Montréal, we are this bunch of frenchy in this Northern America, au Québec St Emile de Suffolk. Merci encore Daniel ❤
I have listened to Ten Years After for over 40 years , and I am still amazed by how many people have not heard of them !! I have 13 of their albums , I love every second of them ! Just wait until you check out I Can't Keep From Crying , live from Winterland . Wow !!
One of tightest bands ever. So underrated.
So agree, my uncle tells me he saw them several times in England, back in the sixties and seventies. And that a particular concert in early '68 was a life changing concert. He saw many famous artists when he lived in England from 62 to 78 and tells me many bands had great albums but nobody rocked harder and tighter than when TYA was on stage. He also had great things to say about the Graham Bond Organization and his killer organ tone
Check out Ten Years After, 1975 Live at Winterland doing "I Can't Keep From Crying Sometime". It's over 20 minutes long but you won't be bored for a minute. I think Alvin Lee had the fastest fingers in the business and he does some amazing things with his guitar. Nice reaction to this.
👍
RIP Alvin. Thank You!
The RnR Hall of Cash is a joke.
I grew up loving Alvin, seen him in concert here in Detoilet, Michigan, but I never seen this before. IT'S DOPE!!!!!!!
Ten years after was such a hot band
The old man plays the keys, still for this band. I grew up thinking everyone played like this
you are God Damn right there will never be music like the 60s and 70s ever again 😢
Saw them in St. Louis in 71, a riot broke out when they kick into I'm Goin' Home. Well that was the end of a great show. Jim
(THIS MUSIC IS INCREDIBLY FANTASTIC)
This interesting to me to see your journey. Why? Jimmy Buffett said, "Everybody has a cousin in Miami", I have a "cousin" in Timisoara. lol He was an engineer from Romania, who came to North Carolina to work for the same company as me, and we became great friends over the 6 years he was here. I'm his "lost cousin" from Tennessee. (where I'm from. he said the mountains of East Tennessee were just like home in Romania) We bonded on music, fishing, and the mountains.
I had to teach him that a bass is a musical instrument, and is also a fish, and it could be a Largemouth Bass, or a Smallmouth Bass... lol
Cheers
Amazing
Rock In Peace Alvin.
The bassist is carrying the song playing sixteenth notes through the entire song. The drummer was also working overtime, keeping the rhythm. Alvan Lee was always an excellent guitarist, and this song demonstrates that from an early video.
People don't love like we did bless be
Thanks so much for this reaction. Leo Lyons is my favorite bass player; I really like his energy. This band is so underrated and so is Alvin Lee's solo work!!
Back in the day when they recorded in the studio 5hey used to tape the headphones to Leo's head but they would still fly off.
Bass player reminds me of the muppet show! His aying is crazy! Players now need to watch enthusiasm of this band.
Dominika take Andrei dancing, u both feeling the 🎵🎶😎
Love Alvin's boots & trowsers.
Oh wow, you guys are reacting to TYA from the german tv show Swing In 1969, perhaps my most favorite halfhour of music on youtube. These guys are so tight and energetic and so so good. Its just awesome to see you guys react to this.
Great job😊
Oh yeah, subscibed!!
Thank you 😊
Andrei feeling the groove😎
👏 YES … CHECK OUT … ONE OF THESE DAYS, AN EPIC EPIC SONG BY THEM… ROCK ON 👊🖖
DOMINIKA, I THINK THE ONE THAT YOU ARE THINKING OF YOURSELF IS CALLED "THE DOUBLE BASE"
Leo Lyon’s one the greatest all time bassists. Up there with John Paul Jones .
The day of real music is mostly gone, very sad. There is a band called Goose trying to revive it. Ty.
Bass is actually two different words. A fish is a bass (pronounced bas). Then there is a bass guitar (pronounced base)
The whole band is way above parr. Who wouldn't want Leo Lyons laying down the bass lines in their band.
its spelled bass but pronounced base
