Yes he is one of the great guitarists, but this is a cover and the original has lyrics which come between a beginning and end. Roy Buchanan’s original work has deep significance and the key motives are admirably echoed by Gary but without the lyrics the title is meaningless and the whole beauty of the piece just becomes one guitarist’s skill.

There were mentioned a lot of his blues tracks already, and I just want to add “Separate Ways” here live 1992 in London (absolute mind blowing and jaw dropping double intro in that one), but I want to mention at least one of his best rock performances, which for me is “Empty Rooms” live in Stockholm 1987, a beautiful piece of music!! There’s also “Thunder rising”, “Military Man”, “Over the Hills and far away” and “All messed up” from the same concert, and many others! Enjoy the ride! Oh, and this guitar here is very special and very famous, she’s called “Greeny” and got it from Peter Greene when he was about 15 or 16! Currently it’s proudly in the hands of Kirk Hammett from Metallica!
For me “Empty Rooms” from We Want Moore live album is a better version than the Stockholm one. I feel that tour suffered from his use of Charvel guitars which have a rather harsh tone.

He kinda started of that way when he started playing and definitely was it in his later years since this year 1990 where this video is from, but he did many styles and was many years a Rock guitarist.
One word AMAZING ❤
Rest in Peace, Gary. Gary was also a very good vocalist. Check out some of his other tunes such as "Still Got The Blues" and "Parisienne Walkways".
The ultimate performance Gary was the best , forget the so called top ten , SRV to 🎼👌
I just read Gary's biography, and his only goal in life was to be the best guitar player ever. He may very well have accomplished his mission! Very few players have the soul, passion, and technique that Gary had. A true genius!
I've always wanted to see a reaction by those that have never heard of Gary Moore and totally get it mentally of how amazing he was. I'll keep saying he was the best that has ever been....!
Gary Moore looms as a guitar god in. Ireland as far as I can remember in my 60 years of life.
Gary Moore was Northern Irish, different country same island.
Irish. Soon Ireland will be one again.😊
This song was written and originally recorded by Roy Buchanan, who sadly died in a US police station cell due to being arested for being drunk. He plays it just as well in a more bluesy way...
God touched him took us all to heaven RIP Gary 💔💔
This song is not his, it belongs to guitarist Roy Buchannan. but Gary made an incredible cover. Passion, great technical, feeling and virtuosity. Gary M. rest in peace. Your solos will pass to the eternal wing
No word's just the best ❤️👍
Nice seeing "Greeny" again
Gary does arguably the best performance from a blues artist with a song called "Parisian Walkaway" done before many thousands of his fans in Dublin Ireland. It is a big production and is all over RUclips. I have watched it many, many times and it was not too long after he recorded this performance that he died. Don't miss this, whatever you do. Thank You
RIP legend 🤘🤘
Saw him in 1984 I really miss him
An outstanding passionate performance!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
it was interesting at 5:40 the way the drummer was in motion and after the drum part ended, he was still in motion then braked
Gary is the GOAT
