We walked into this being curious/skeptical as to if they’d pull off this title, and they NAILED it, phenomenal guitar work and song composition. Where do we go from here?! 🙌🏻🔥
Alvin Lee wrote, sang and played all the guitars on this masterpiece! This song is 50 years old, the lyrics are more relevant now than ever in history.
You gotta give more trust to your Boomer subscribers! We rarely steer you guys wrong. Thanks for finally getting to this one. 😁
Let’s start a campaign for Keep Me Hanging on by Vanilla Fudge, who’s with me!
As an old guy, you help me hear songs I already know for the first time again. You always bring insights that I haven't thought of before. Nice job. Great channel.
Ten Years After, “I’m Going Home,” at Woodstock. Must see and hear
The chorus is even deeper, guys. He's being ironic, and he's critiquing the psychology behind individuals who profess to be changing the world, but who are actually leaving it to others -- e.g., politicians.
I'm Going Home... Live version Woodstock Alvin Lee &Ten Years After Incredible tune!
“I’m Going Home” by Ten Years After at Woodstock is a saucy one.
Sniff N the Tears, driver's seat.
The Vietnam War was still going on when this album was released. I know because I was there. I will never ever tire of this song.
This wasn't just a song...back in the day, this was an anthem.
I'm 70 years old. The guitar work still gives me goosebumps.
this song brought tears to my eyes. 60 years old and still rocking hard. None will bring more emotions than this one |||
Alvin Lee was an absolute "MONSTER" on the guitar. pretty good voice too.
The Guess Who, "No Time". Big hit, big sound. Timeless.
RIP Alvin Lee. I have been asking for this for over a year. The song still stands up 50 years later. And he sings while playing some of these leads. You have to see him at Woodstock. He was mostly unknown and blew away the crowd. He plays so fast at times you can't follow his hands, but it isn't shredding, he articulates phrases so cleanly that you hear all of the notes.
Their performance of “I’m Going Home” at Woodstock is more than a must listen, Alvin Lee’s guitar solo is one of the best ever.
Flat out some of the tastiest guitar licks of all time. Amazing song. S-tier for sure.
These are the jams that your grandparents rocked to. 50 years later they still sound great.
