It violates the (Robert Meyer) Burnett Axiom: "Never put your universe behind your characters." But for what it's worth, the world is great. It's full of interesting visions of the future. But as you've said the main character is doesn't live up to the fascinating world, and I agree.
Yeah it's pretty much "mid", but I feel like it's the just right kinda "mid", it does take hold of my attention time to time, but occasionally (at least for some scenes), I find myself just on Twitter or something for a minute or 2 (still listening in carefully)
I just finished it and wanted to see what others thought about it. Glad to see I wasn't the only one disappointed by this show. I think the artstyle and character designs are amazing and the premise is really interesting. Unfortunately that is all I liked about it. The story was promising at the start, but it stayed very superficial with a lot of jumps and twists that made no sense and weren't build up at all. Same with the moments that were clearly meant to be impactful, there was just nothing behind it to justify that. And like you said, the characters were barely developed. In ep 5 I was completely lost because so much was happening that wasn't explained whatsoever. The story made pretty much no sense to me anymore, so much so that I wondered if they used AI to write it because so many things were so random yet clichè at the same time. Either way the writing was full of plotholes and quite bad imo. It looks great, but that was it for me, I'd give it a 1/5.
I just watched the first ep, I rly like the animation style, reminds me of arcane not rly on its lvl but still amazing
I kinda view it like how netflix did castlevania the very first season. I'm kinda going with a "testing the waters" type feel
The artstyle is between trigun stampede and valorant. And im all for it.

nice review. i'll add this to my list but there is so much to watch, i'll probably not rush to watch this one after listening to this.
Yeah...Arcane is the way to go.😅
What other things are on your watch list? lol I need more things to watch so can use some suggestions!
Why it doesnt have a trailer

The ending I mean she kills children and tried to take over and yet they decided to make her ending where she goes Scott free. Did not like it at all
Well it’s worth the time
Would there be a season 2
I would really like for Tokyo overdrive to have a second season
Thank you for the review.
Amazing video ruby
Thank you! 😁
watched all of it in a couple days
I'd rather watch Tron Uprising than boring ass Arcane but whatever, to each their own.
Boring Arcane is an interesting take. Definitely in the minority on that one. But as you said, each to their own. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
Your a great reviewer. Consider me jelous😂
Ah, thanks so much. I still have a ways to go but I'm getting there.
