It seems no matter how different you sound, you'll always sound like a sales guy... eventually. Reason; You don't sound like a customer.
Yes, drop the 50 year old intro of enthusiasm, your name and company name. Lead with your name. What you do/value you bring followed by a relevant systematic open ended question for engagement and discovery of qualifying or disqualifying.
