Considering what you get out of his products that's not a bad thing. He tried to make it really obvious that through his books and board game he is helping people. If he believes that his products help people then he would be irresponsible not to suggest them.

This whole talk is a cheap tactic to keep Kiyosaki relevant to a new generation and keep his revenue stream churning from 2000. There was NO big crash in 2016. He didn't really predict one for 2016 anyway - despite what he says here. We had Huge crashes in 2001, 2008, and 2020 - and the US economy completely recovered every time - just like it has done throughout the course of American history. This whole talk is a shameless plug for his books.

Mistakes will teach people lessons. In school, you don't learn from your mistakes because after you write the test, you just get a grade, but students aren't required to go follow up and review their exams to see what they did wrong.

One of the things that actually helped me in more ways than one, was after a test I stayed for every single review. Every instructor and professor noticed that I asked questions to understand why I got it wrong. And twice, the instructor either gave me points or credit when I legitimately shouldn't have after turning stuff in late because I had been the only person to put in the effort to understand my mistakes.

If you think Robert Kiyosaki's books will have some magical advice that will make you rich you will be disappointed. His books are simply a tool to help people understand what getting rich looks like and how others have done it.
I read his books when I was younger and It changed my life. The way I look at money, government, business, education, and materialism. I have become much more financially responsible as a result.
Unless you are extremely talented, creative, or intelligent you will probably not be on a fast path to riches. For most people gaining wealth is a long journey that requires lots of dedication and self-control. And in that light, I don't think everyone can or should pursue wealth.

this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,

"Change your words, change your life" So damn true. I found it is really about developing your own inner dialogue to actually be on your side supporting you through all the rough times vs. that dialogue trying to scare you, put you down or simply not believing or trusting in you to overcome certain challenges. I came out of my most loving and chaotic relationship almost a year ago and was left a total wreck with no self belief whatsoever, no drive to get things done and it was my lowest point that I realized I needed to make a big change. I realized that I was my biggest enemy and it was my relationship with myself that needed the greatest change. That all started to come together when I started changing the words I used with that inner chit chat. Its been a process, but now I've got my drive back for life, more doors are opening for me, incredible people are flowing into my life regularly and I'm more financially stable than I've ever been. I don't believe this is any coincidence. Change your words, change your life!

People that don't like Mr Kiyosaki's work are really either not reading it or having a hard time applying it. Mr Kiyosaki repeats himself a lot for a reason. He is not the one going to provide you with the financial education. He repeats to surround yourself with smarter people to learn, grow and develop. For anyone that has spent a single penny on any college education you understand that education isn't free. Robert doesn't put a gun to anyone's head to buy his material. That's a choice. All you really need from Robert is his first book and to take responsibility for your choices there after. He has also repeatedly said that there are people that will always want to work in trades or for other people. If that's what makes you happy. Happiness is a personal decision. He repeats that being financially wealthy is a side effect of being financially educated and applying that education. If your goal is money or greed than more power to you. He really can't make things more simple to understand. And for those that judge him for not giving them the magic answer on how to be rich, they should continue working for someone else and be happy with that. Take the good, leave the bad. Apply what works for you and move on. Don't hate on the man for doing well for himself and some times being sarcastic or arrogant. He simply is trying to help those that are tired of being sheep to stop that cycle.

It's been shown that his "rich dad" was a complete fabrication. When confronted, he claimed this fictional person was a composite of several people, and justified his deception by claiming his "rich dad" was just as real to him as Harry Potter is to some people. He lost all credibility with me after that - and TEDx is greatly diminished in my opinion by having him as a speaker.

      Evan Samdahl
I didn't, but the first google hit (ethanvanderbuilt.com/2014/01/20/robert-kiyosaki-scam-artist-yes-opinion/)
provided LOTS of evidence to support my negative impression of Kiyosaki, and includes this quote about halfway down:
"In the February 2003 issue of SmartMoney magazine, Kiyosaki said “Is Harry Potter real? Why don’t you let Rich Dad be a myth, like Harry Potter?” In other words, the entire premise under which Rich Dad, Poor Dad was sold was a complete fabrication."
I strongly urge you to read the whole blog entry.

After re-reading his books, I find a more potent message then when I read it the first time. I did move from an E to an S, not much of an improvement, but I am no longer dependent on "someone else" for financial security.

No its not. He may not explained this part much more but in his other videos he explained it deeper why its a liability
Its a liability because its not giving you passive income. You are paying bills and monthly dues to sustain it and maintenance or renovation that you need to make. It will only be asset once you sell it or rent it out.

He's been talking for years, that the Baby Boom have to take their money out of the market or else they get taxed, through ERLIASA or some acronym from the 70's. Meaning, right now and every day forward, 10,000 people a day HAVE TO remove money from the stock market. Thus the greatest crash was written in the 1970's and Robert has known this since. Now you need to adjust your way of life and the way to make income, with a global Ponzi scheme added into the pot. Good luck. Go to your local library and get his books/teachings for free. Just saved you $100's. It's also in audio as well so you can listen on the go if you are a busy person. Peace.

Rich are getting richer because they get bailouts from the public for their mistakes, while the less fortunate, "the poor", do not get bailouts. That's socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor. Additionally, those from privileged backgrounds also have better education opportunities growing up so have advantages over those who wouldn't know about how to find investors or approach VCs. Yes, the poor can do the same and learn, but many of them are busy trying to survive off their meager paychecks. The rich kids can play with their parents money or sit around and learn about business while their needs are being taken care of. Kiyosaki is a scheister. John Reed did a great expose on Kiyosaki about 15 years ago, I suggest you all look it up.
FYI: This guy has been around at least 20 years giving financial and business advice to millions of people, and yet inequality is getting worse and worse, the middle class has shrunk, homelessness is on the rise, cost of education skyrocketing, and 99% of his followers are still poor.

    • @billclitton5863
      @billclitton5863 8 лет назад +1

G.S. Kim No its not because of bailouts. You have to get somewhere to even get a bailout. He explains very well how to get rich. Using cashflow income and good debt. Now every man poor or wealthy can study no one can take that away from you. If you are truely too busy its on you to find a solution. Now about the national debt, financial advice isnt taking away national debt. The printed currencies can only come down in a massive crash. You can prevent yourself from losing all your money when this happens by investing in gold cause that cant loose as much value as printed money.

But he sounds very hypocritical when he quoted Buckminster Fuller saying to him at 9:10 "Why dont you do something to change the world?" .... he said "Im not here to work for me, im here to work for everybody else" It was a pretty cathartic event once i realised how greedy i was".
Then at 13:45 "My wife and I have 10,000 units, hotels and oil wells"
It sounds like he betrayed Buckminster, his old hero. 10,000 units sounds very fucking greedy to me.

He does highlight one thing correctly, during the first few minutes of the talk, we do have social capitalism where losses are absorbed socially by the poor working schmucks, but the gains are only for the elite few.
And he's also right we are headed for a major stock market correction, thanks to the changing nature of capital, technology and geopolitical circumstances.. . My take away buckle-in the next few years are going to be a wild economic ride.

Entitlement means you get what you pay for. If I pay for a meal, I'm entitled to receive that meal. If I pay my car insurance, I'm entitled to having the cost of a car wreck paid for, if I need it.
We the People have paid for a functional government and we are entitled to that return on our investment. Instead our investment has gone to the oligarchs - the true welfare takers.

I was -$200,000 in debt when I fell over that Rich Dad book, now 10 years later i'm in the $10 mill plus side, and I own 51 properties with ZERO debt to the banks!!! I didn't learn how to do that in school, this was from what Robert teaches, and others like him. School will NEVER teach you this stuff!!

for all the people complaining here ,about the volume, racist joke, etc...take this part what he said" CHANGE YOUR WORDS ,CHANGE YOUR LIFE" .
Jim Rohn said: If you change everything will change for you.
lets start with not making ridiculous comments here about volume,if he is racist or no, that he is not rich as he claims etc...
if we cannot change at least here on youtube how can we expect to do mayor changes in our lives

Yes especially for someone who was born in Africa oh im sure it's that starving childs' fault that he was unfortunate enough to be born in a position where he'll never leave the poverty line.

The rich keep getting richer, because they keep doing what it was that made them rich.
The poor keep getting poorer, because they keep doing what it was that made them poor.
