Cardone gave the guy 3 chances. 1st, I'm surprised he didn't rip on him for his appearance. Then, he asked for his pitch "what are you doing here" and the kid talked about HIMSELF. Wrong, talk about how you can solve a problem for HIM or his COMPANY....ASK questions!! Third shot, Cardone asked him what his best skill is and gave him a shot, and he failed miserably at that too. For such a fan, he failed to turn his training into action on a person he respected. On the positives, he had balls to show up and he got to meet him face to face and marketed himself on Cardone's success. I'd give his grade a D+. The great thing about it is that Cardone is now aware that the school he was at it CRAP. The kid wasn't all bad...He knew to go to the top to get things done, thought outside of the box to meet face to face,
You're right. BUT keep in mind you can watch trainings all day, but in my experience, it's really hard to implement those things in a real time, high stress situation like this until you have a LOT of reps and it becomes second nature. Kind of like you could watch tutorials on how to do a basketball move properly on RUclips for hours but if you get thrown in a game with no practice your mind/body won't be able to execute it on the fly unless you've physically practiced it a lot. What this kid does have however are the intangibles--namely--taking deliberate and difficult action, and an unwavering confidence in himself. He drove twelve hours each way to meet a very intimidating billionaire and held his composure nicely. Not like a seasoned salesman. But he didn't get rattled either. This is something that's much harder to teach. And with a little training he can kill it. The mindset is really the key and he's got it.
The security guard was there because he didnt trust some random ass person dressed as a casual dork from the beach to meet Grant Cardone. He drove 12hours without an appointment. The security man doesnt know if he is psychotic or anything, so he is there keeping watch. He should have dressed more professional, idiotic to say the least. He failed on 1st impression.

Guys you need to understand that he got an appointment with Grant and that is his sale!! this kid is a smarter than just black or blue suit.. He can be moulded and this is the kind of people you need to work with. Look at his tone, body language, there is a lot of fire in him to do better things.. thats my analysis as a Sales Director at Vostad
"I'm actually going to school right now" biggest excuse ever. we are capable of so much more. you WORK and you go to school, and you manage every other aspect of your life like a pro. if you can only do "one" thing, you're not hitting your potential
I completely agree! I’m in school and I work 50 hours a week at least (I keep track of every hour so I have the proof) and yeah it’s tiring but I’ve been given so much opportunity with the people I meet because of my drive and stamina. Kid should be doing more but he has some knowledge, now all he need is the drive to work hard. But for the kid you who says it’s BS or impossible, you’re wrong.
I never understood why people go to school to become an entrepreneur- I feel like it’s in my blood everyday/night. It would be an awesome opportunity to work with Grant I wish the best who ever gets an internship
Just say I want a fucking job, I'm starting tomorrow. And if he says no just say I understand that's fine I'm going to show up anyway. And also dress like a badass. But super great job man your freaking awesome!
Very well handled, respect for not EATING HIM ALIVE I guess. The young gentleman certainly learnt a lesson this day, I hope he uses it to his advantage one way or another.
I served 4 year in the Marine Corps and just graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. I would go work for Grant in heartbeat over any other offer I’ve had!
What he gained internally from this adventure far beats most things one can experience in 12 hours, even 24 hours. All experiences are valuable. To those comments criticizing the kid’s ROI, I’d be intrigued to know what they think would have been a better investment.
Zach Wadzinski he 10xed the wrong thing and drove for 12 hours without wearing a suit, yet alone preparation. I would look him in the eye and tell him he's stupid. or STUPID
Give that kid a job. I'll give him this he's got a "go get it attitude" and that's hard to teach. Clearly he is motivated as long as he's coachable could be a great asset.
All the negative comments are most likely coming from the lowest performers of their industry. Whoever this kid is, you f***kn rock for taking initiative!!!
It is. He is just still brain washed from the system - traditional education. He is trying his way on, hearing something new from Grand Cardone and possibly others. Maybe he'll break out from the mental barrier that the society has locked him, and most of us, in. You can, of course improve and get out of that :) But it's not that easy. Most people won't do this, nor will not take risks. I mean... it's easy to say, that 95% ppl will not do it. I know a person that works for him self, he's a businessman, but he just does a job that he would do if he was emloyeed. It's worse than ... I gave him advice, one of it was to build a website in 2017. He laughed me, he called his friends. 8months later, i see him again, and he said he's building a website because his friend did it 6months ago, and it shows him resoults. Now, would he has just lisened me back then. Problem is that he think doing the same thing, over 20years, will bring him new results. It's easy. I told him to change few stuff. But he keeps doing the same thing, and getting the same results. Has he only done some of the stuff I told him. He will figure this out, he is now, but it will be outdated by then. A website is a step ahead. But even in 2017 people don't have it, and they suck in web. I't snot only web... Traditional education. i told him I'd be a millionaire soon, he laughed. I mean... THis was now, when he told me he's building a website. Next time we meet, I'm millionaire, he asks me how did you do it? ANd I will reply to him, well, I have told you before. First they tell you what you're doing wrong, and then they ask you how you did it?!
This is a prime example of an individual who is just not ready and expects other people to change him. Not hating on the kid, because lord knows that I have no right to criticize, but you gotta bring the heat to this thing. You don't just drive 12 hours and have such weak delivery. Why did you come? Did you expect a job for just showing up? That's only half of the whole...and a plane flies on 2 wings, my friend.
After looking into the comment section it seems like lots of you guys are judgmental which I get it but you got to give it to him. He actually took a action which tells a a lot. So what he wasn't prepared, he is young, interested, and ambitious. That's all that matter in this world. Someone who is go getter, and willing to learn along the way. This kid has his mindset on the right path.
Whoever condemns this guy for failing has lost the plot. This is more practical experience than most of us can ever say we had for ourselves up to this point.
He's driven 12 hours to get there and Grant keeps him waiting over in the corner of the room. Purely to enforce his status. Anyone reasonable would have gone straight over and said thanks for coming. (Then probably asked why he'd not dressed smart)
If a guy drives 12 hours to come see me, and he's mentally competent, congratulations, you have a job with me. Whether or not he keeps it, is up to him.
I would have spent 12 hours getting ready for the interview. You can't just come unprepared when you're meeting someone of that caliber! He had a chance, now Grant will never think of this kid when there is a position open because all he probably thought the whole way down was how many likes he was going to get with his picture with Grant instead of thinking about what questions he will be asked and prepare those answers. Sad but true when it comes to 99% of millennials.
Very motivated from you man might be young but I wanna get in the business I wanna be extremely Successful which I will thanks for all the motivation man God bless
I definitely would want a sales job with Cardone. Good job on him for trying. People can hate in the comments but none of you have tried this. Props to him for giving it a shot.
I bet you loved his Betty can use 6-1/2 Betty can use 6-1/2 comment ha? Betty looked uncomfortable looking at the camera man after he said that and if She's smart she can turn that 6-1/2 comment into $6-1/2 million harassment.
Red flags everywhere #1. Drove 12 hours just to look like he is dressed for a frat boy party #2 Wants to become an intreprneur and tells GC he needs someone to learn from (once he learns enough he will bounce out) #3 Too much smiling. When you show up for an interview you want to balance smiling and being serious. No one wants to hire someone who is stuck in the relax mode #4 Lack of preperation. (No resume, or any kind of paperwork. Was to pass one question test and got it wrong) #5 No confidence and no verbal back up to why he should be a part of the team and what he can bring to the table. No one wants to hire a mooch #6 Asking GC for a picture at the end. At this point you become a fan boy, not a future employee or contractor. Grant was kind enough to let him take one, but probably laughed at the whole situation later. I hope the guy really changes the way he approaches life in general. If driving 12 hours just to meet your idol is a good time spent then obviously he does not have a mindset of an entrepreneur. I am glad he knows real estate because that is good knowledge. However, 1st impression is everything.

If you're driving 12hours to meet Grant, you better spend another 12 preparing for it. You cant just come and say you want it. I'm 64. When I was 21, I walked into a business...owned by a millionaire (when that meant something)..and said "I want to learn your business. Pay me whatever you want. I just want to learn from the best. I'll do whatever you want. I won't take any leads from any of your other salesmen.I want to learn this business." He took me on...on the spot.
Why is Cardone so shifty eyed? Gut tells me not to trust him.
He's watching his security because a incel drove 12 hours dressed like a beach bum to meet another "Man".
hes trash
Because he’s not trust worthy this is a toxic working environment
seems like a good kid
Zacc Xav. Probably a typical college party kid . school payed for by mommy and daddy.
The Boss the guy talking shit behind a screen is calling someone else a bitch? let that sink in
So
The Boss You sound like a bigger bitch
@@silviocastell8889 you salty about it?
The security guard was there because he didnt trust some random ass person dressed as a casual dork from the beach to meet Grant Cardone. He drove 12hours without an appointment. The security man doesnt know if he is psychotic or anything, so he is there keeping watch. He should have dressed more professional, idiotic to say the least. He failed on 1st impression.
MyMIXmedia The security guard was dressed more professional than that dip shit. Hell the telephone was dressed more professional than that dickweed
Started following you a year ago on you tube. Read 10X 6 months ago. And just recently started working somewhere that has Cardone University! Thank You for motivating me daily to succeed through all your multiple channels!
Finally someone that can see through the fog and noise. This kid is a good guy to work with and has great potential.
Looks like Uncle G has a tail when at the office.
"I'm actually going to school right now" biggest excuse ever. we are capable of so much more. you WORK and you go to school, and you manage every other aspect of your life like a pro. if you can only do "one" thing, you're not hitting your potential
Adam Paolella that's so bs dude. I had a shit job in college that would put me on during class times so I had to leave
Exactly, try to get your good grades in a med school while working x)...
or at software engineering
Absolutely!
But super great job man your freaking awesome!
paul polo yeah because that totally happened
Haha I love it, good work.
lol. you are a legend Derek 84.
Yeah, that's not gonna work.
Very well handled, respect for not EATING HIM ALIVE I guess. The young gentleman certainly learnt a lesson this day, I hope he uses it to his advantage one way or another.
The guy's biggest moment and he shows up in shorts and a wrinkled shirt. 1st impressions count. Dress for the occasion...
Grant was still nice most won’t even come out and shake a persons hand! Respect!
he did not sell himself with confidence that he can be an asset for grant cardone
I served 4 year in the Marine Corps and just graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. I would go work for Grant in heartbeat over any other offer I’ve had!
Artillery?
What he gained internally from this adventure far beats most things one can experience in 12 hours, even 24 hours. All experiences are valuable.
To those comments criticizing the kid’s ROI, I’d be intrigued to know what they think would have been a better investment.
Admitted he wants to follow a leader, listens, kept his cool.
Dude drove 12 hours to meet the man himself, respect. One word to describe this. 10X.
Zach Wadzinski he 10xed the wrong thing and drove for 12 hours without wearing a suit, yet alone preparation. I would look him in the eye and tell him he's stupid. or STUPID
Also very true lol
Emre Durak Yeah, 12 hour drive could've been a much shorter plane ride. He didn't have to drive.
Give that kid a job. I'll give him this he's got a "go get it attitude" and that's hard to teach. Clearly he is motivated as long as he's coachable could be a great asset.
Saw how nervous he got when grant said bring out the deal lol
This young man has a great attitude, he will go far in life.
Find a master to follow, I agree, and I follow Uncle G.
Our old sales videos and interview trainings are awesome come up with those insightful videos
Is that a security guard? (man with badge behind Grant).
poor nigga. LOL. pepares cofee :)
thats the guy thats going to escort this slob out the backdoor haha
Wall Street Pirate 😂😂😂
Proof that “just showing up” is about 1% of the battle. Not half the battle like its advertised
Drove 12 hours to meet Brett Favre! Keep up the good work GC!!
Good interview technique, you have to give credit Grant is very intelligent.
To anyone suggesting that this young man seems dumb... dude, never understimate anybody.
All the negative comments are most likely coming from the lowest performers of their industry. Whoever this kid is, you f***kn rock for taking initiative!!!
Amen
Good for the guy to come down that is thinking 10X but entrepreneurship isn't for everyone..
It is. He is just still brain washed from the system - traditional education.
He is trying his way on, hearing something new from Grand Cardone and possibly others.
Maybe he'll break out from the mental barrier that the society has locked him, and most of us, in.
You can, of course improve and get out of that :)
But it's not that easy.
Respectfully handling people is admirable. 💪💪💪
Id drive 12 hours to recruit grant in my team as the marketing manager of my company. He built his brand quite strongly and quickly.
Grant says give him a deal to underwrite...kid literally pees himself
After looking into the comment section it seems like lots of you guys are judgmental which I get it but you got to give it to him. He actually took a action which tells a a lot. So what he wasn't prepared, he is young, interested, and ambitious. That's all that matter in this world. Someone who is go getter, and willing to learn along the way. This kid has his mindset on the right path.
Pretty sure you can make more money committing war crimes in Bosnia, than working for Grant Cardone.
Drove 12 hours for a subpar high five. Legend
this dude had balls.. not for doing it, but for showing up in that condition... damn.
😂 Wearing shorts to a business meeting with a mogul was certainly a choice. Not a wise one at that!
Wouldn't even hire this clown to be the office coffee boy.
Whoever condemns this guy for failing has lost the plot. This is more practical experience than most of us can ever say we had for ourselves up to this point.
Is his pipeline full?
@@veganforlife4660 Is yours?
@@artham94 Yes.
@@veganforlife4660 was it full when you first started doing whatever you're doing?
@@artham94 Yes.
He's driven 12 hours to get there and Grant keeps him waiting over in the corner of the room. Purely to enforce his status. Anyone reasonable would have gone straight over and said thanks for coming. (Then probably asked why he'd not dressed smart)
In the first 5 seconds of speaking to grant this kid blew it
Grant does what he wants, when he wants, with who he wants!
hi grant , your confidence is off the chart. that's what i like. that's what i'm after
I live in the Bay Area but I’ll move tomorrow if I’m picked up as an internship. Im hungry. Living off an investment property and ready to work.
Well done bro for showing up ignore your comments they have nothing on you
That 12 hour ride home felt like 6 days. Poor kid I give him the credit to have the balls to walk in there.
Ahmed M
apparently he thought of him enough to post this to the RUclips page.
As an example to us, just what Ahmed M said.
Ahmed M “would” keep sitting at home
Gen Z
Millennials aren't 20 anymore 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Nice ears Ahmed
Congrates on your first and last day.
Red flags everywhere
#1. Drove 12 hours just to look like he is dressed for a frat boy party
#2 Wants to become an intreprneur and tells GC he needs someone to learn from (once he learns enough he will bounce out)
#3 Too much smiling. When you show up for an interview you want to balance smiling and being serious. No one wants to hire someone who is stuck in the relax mode
#4 Lack of preperation. (No resume, or any kind of paperwork. Was to pass one question test and got it wrong)
#5 No confidence and no verbal back up to why he should be a part of the team and what he can bring to the table. No one wants to hire a mooch
#6 Asking GC for a picture at the end.
Agreed.
I moved for Miami for business school, I will work for you for free. I want to learn from the best and sir, you are the best.
Compliments of the season🌲🌲. Thanks for your comment, will love to get some conversation from you.
+ 1 (9 8 5) 2 4 7 - 9 3 3 7 w h a t s a p p..
He should of tried harder he is a young dude with to much to learn he is far from ready the minute he wore that typical campus wear i know cordoned said here is another punk ass college kid with a lame degree. The best business is learned out of college.
If you're driving 12hours to meet Grant, you better spend another 12 preparing for it. You cant just come and say you want it.
"It's better to not have an opportunity and be prepared, than to have one and not be prepared" -Les Brown
He should also have dressed up. I bet he drove 12hours, tired, and went straight into Grant. My man is crazy
Grant Cardone is such a gentleman! So nice to a fresher who has come exploring new opportunities.
Subscribed. I'm a veteran small business owner and working on buying my first quadplex. Always looking for an opportunity and interning for someone I admire (Grant Cardone) is definitely that.
5:04 lmao that expression... “what was it 1.4? ..... Sure man”
Straight A's bubba !
I can literally feel the nervousness of that dude
All comes down to street smarts with basic math skills, psychology, and human interactions of trash talking (saying what the person wants to hear), being confident but not cocky. Know your 💩and sell it like if it was gold!
Watches Grant talk about sales and misses the first step in sales.
Be presentable.....
I wonder how many women Grant Cardone hires & actually works with regarding his Real Estate deals?
I've been following you for like 3 days now and you're my new hero. All the way from South Africa ♥️🙌
His expression, aarghh.. It is so, cringy..
Show some seriousness in your face, man..
yeah i thought the same (
He walked straight into the lion’s den and didn’t even know it.
Well he sure “got his foot in the door” ... & achieved what he wanted, which was to “just” meet GC and introduce himself... 🤦♂️ Respect for driving 12 Hrs but you have to be prepared ... #12HRS
Envision yourself in your goal but have a structured plan to make it there-
That's how to get hired.
Drove 12 hours but didn’t pack a suit ?! Odd
AYY that was awesome, huge props do the kid taking the drive to meet grant, I bet he was super nervous good for him though, I hope he gets the job one day!
Grant Cardone is 60? (Looked it up when he said he went to Italy at 45.) He could pass for 40.
lifted
60 now
