I counted about 20 people in that room. If they made 2K calls, that means each salesperson talked to at least 100 that day alone. I worked in customer service for Bell and Verizon, I averaged about 60 to 70 calls and my conversion rate was about 20% on good days and 5% on bad days. Looking back now, I know I could have done better. I could have also chosen a product that yielded greater rewards and that would have served as a great incentive. I guess all I'm trying to say is STEP YOUR GAME UP! Use fear as energy to fuel your ambitions and take you beyond your imagination. Good luck, cheers!

Great video. I have being selling for years. The key is to being able to relate to your customer and never talk down to them. Treat the customer as how you would be wanted to be treated. I also ask opened ended questions and I always thank the customer for their time on the phone. Another key is to connect with your customer. Ask them about their day, show interest. I have made a lot of calls as a customer and the amount of sales people who show no interest to (me as the customer is amazing)

Grant .. Send your team on a star sign course.. Natural Charateristics of people.. Gemini's love fast living.. you wanna red Porche, this plan wil buy you 3! for capricorns - they love stability, long term deals will appeal to those, Sagitario's are born worriers, so go down the peace of mind route.. it works every time, just find out what their star sign is and away you go ! Listen to the guys voice on the phone, it will fluctuate from being interested to dis-interested, remember what made his voice excited and concentrate on that cus thats what he/she wants to know more about, get to know him, build up trust, whats his hobby, take it off the point for a few mins, then bring him back into play.

I mean 10 year might be an exaggeration but what if we split the payment upfront to 24 months.. how can we be sure the buyer doesn't back off the installment halfway. Send a contract with legality?

Thanks for sharing these wisdoms Grant! Us audience feel like we're part of your team. My trainer has been telling me to leverage other team mates, and you said the same thing but called it tag. They also said to make a friend and help the client, and you say give value. Same wisdom, different words, but it takes a different voice sometimes to teach the same message.

@@maxlewis2011 When you wake up in the morning and see the daylight do you ask where is the daylight. No, it's obvious that it is daylight. When you look at the sky do you ask is the sky blue? No, it's obvious that it's blue. There is no reason to ask anything. The black people are not there so it's obvious they are not wanted there. He had years to hire black staff.

Love GC all day every day, this video violates some of the concepts (whatever it takes with the story of the guy who wants a job, I say that because out there, there is a story out there that goes the extra mile and gets the job) However I get the professionalism and the point he is trying to make.

Grant you need to tell your people from the start they need to stop drilling buyers for all they got, they will loose a lot of deals this way, like you were saying you need to find out what there needs are, how do they justify what they are about to spend and if you cant see or you do see its way more than they need or can afford, repackage, restructure the deal to make it fit for the buyer and his company. Because In the end or in the short term after they have time to think about what they just committed to ,they are going to feel played.. repackage the deal with the option of add ons and buy up, let them ramp up ...if you let your sales team run hog wild and be driven by the highest commission on every deal they will continue to struggle and in the long run it will reflect on the GC Brand... sell them what they need, use a tag to follow up to make sure what is being sold is what they really need and not how much you can convince them to give you and you will not only see your team excel in new clients and closing deals you will have a much happier customer base willing to buy up, buy more and take your calls more often than not... Bob The Builder!!

22:00 the answer to that question is tough and I could tell Grant either didn't know how to word it, or he held back with his answer. The answer is intuition and intent. If you aren't intending to build relationships and help people, and you are just in it for the money, you are going to have a hard time knowing when to respect the client and back off.
