Holy f*ck, this is GOLD. I wish there were 20 more of these we could watch. I feel like I’ve learned so much more watching him MODEL the sales process than I could EVER learn through just trying to understand the concepts

@@AP-rl6hc Yeah took him like 4 hours to write the sales script to handle as many objections as possible. Still, he managed to close the guy even though they literally told him to say no at all costs.
I've been trying to sell for about a month now and one thing I noticed with Jordan is that he wears his intentions on his sleeve. "Yes I'm here to sell but let me tell you why it'd be a mistake not to hire me." He also isn't afraid to throw out what I call these "right hooks". Bold statements that almost make the prospect flinch and object but this is where Jordan can really strengthen his position by showing what he knows
Wow, the "does that sound fair enough" line is straight fire. Really nice closing line. Also, the concept of "let me try one thing, or something small and really impress you" is super effective. I was in corporate sales for a long time, and I'm about to go back. I'll be using this haha. Thanks Jordan!
And also the way he accepted the deal, the guy said “that sounds reasonable” which is a long way off saying “you’re hired” but Jordan took that as a deal and threw his pen down, then the guy had no choice but to shake his hand
I am no expert but I’m extremely observant of these psychological nuances and some of the refined techniques Jordan uses here. Common ground - Copying of language and body language to create common ground (“Area-er”, “Chin-er”) - “I understand that”, conveying that you understand the client and are relatable in terms of relationship. Assurance and Time frame - “We will get you what you need, I don’t want to interfere with so on and so forth, give us only 30 days and you will be satisfied.” Confirmation bias - “Does that sound good enough?” - this allows the client the power to decide in favor of the seller and another avenue of information persuasion to take place. Attention bias - “Let me ask you a question.” - Grabs the clients attention and allows the seller to produce an image for the client to create a bias for the seller. And just towards the end, he got a little demanding to ice the cake. I don’t have a name for that one lol Just thought I’d point these out for fun.
I heard him use a triplet as well. Where you use a string of 3 to make something sound complete whether or not it actually makes sense. Example: "Our products are well-made, affordable, and aesthetic". Related to that, he also bifurcates ideas into two choices which funnels the listener down to the black and white reasoning that rationalizes in a certain direction. I also see him mimicking the guy's body language which helps build rapport. Tony Robbins has some good videos about body language.
adamgm84 Man that’s really cool, I didn’t notice that. I had no idea sales psychology was that complex lol. It’s a bit like a custom built strategy for each individual. Maybe it’s just the supreme confidence Jordan brings to the table lol. Who knows

I like how he constantly asks the customer "does that sound fair?" or "fair enough?" after asking to give him one shot. This pressures the buyer into wanting to say yes and to open up the account. He also moves around a lot and makes gestures to make the buyer more comfortable but at the same time makes the seller (Jordan) look more comfortable and confident. These gestures really don't seem like much but it takes a lot of skill to keep it up the entire time while still keeping focus on selling your product.
The “does that sound fair enough” question is used to replace the “do you want to do this” question. It takes power out of the customer and puts more power into the salesman
"How's that sound?" is an example of a close. Gestures work because "motion creates emotion," and emotion sells. His relaxed posture in the chair is to make the customer feel comfortable. He also leans in to try to get the customer to lean (called "the lean," meaning you have their interest). All those things come naturally after practice. Just like you don't think exactly about your grammar when you speak to express yourself, once you practice body language, you can use it to support what you're saying. If you don't already, I think you'd really like sales. No matter who you are, you're always selling yourself or your ideas, so it's a life skill that will never lose its value.
What i think he means is people who blatantly speak fast so that u are not able to figure out the outcome of the situation by persuading you to decide there and then without giving it a deep thought
ryan1380 Maybe it’s because bad salesman 👨💼 have used this tactic to hype up customers in order to score in on a touchdown I try to first hear them out before I label but I was told to trust my guts because they often are true
The man is a pro. Absolutely dominanted the conversation while in a way where the client wanted to divulge more personal thoughts regarding the business. Impressive Mr. Belfort
Dominate? He talked way too long and flipped flopped in all different directions - beating around the bush instead, he was never once clear in what solution he was selling to said fake CEO. This is an old tactic and is easily seen through - obfuscation of information is basically what it is. This whole conversation could have been 5 minutes but no he rambled on and took it to different levels where it didn't need to go.
@@miralabualjadail4206 It can be both at the same time. An exceptional manipulator can still be impressive because normal people are far from being that convincing, but it doesn't make the person's actions any less scummy.

I would love to see him slap Dave Ramsey around. It would have to be in person tho because Dave would just hang up on him like he always when he’s against the ropes on his show.
One of the small things I dont see people mentioning is Jordan gives the customer the head of the desk. He puts the customer behind the desk and gets the customer to think he is the one controlling the sale . This give Jordan a huge psychological advantage and makes the customer feel more in control and superior.

He asked him what they would like to accomplish and he told him the problem they might have in accomplishing that, and then he told him he has 2 solutions to the problem or problems. Problem + Solution = $$$$
He is a complete fraud and still owes around 100 million to the government and people he ripped off through scamming them. No business with credibility should go near him.
To all the haters. Jordan is moving the sales process in ~22 minutes further forward than other guys in weeks or months (with several emails, calls, meetings) and closes the sale. He closes as fast as possible an acceptable deal with a typical ANALYTICAL and CAREFUL BUYER. He talks a lot, but every single word has a purpose. He changed the status quo, created value, closed AND the customer feels safe, although making a quick decision. This was the right type of tonality, information, questions etc. FOR THIS CUSTOMER. Jordan can do variations guys, if necessary, he can slow down, talk less be more reserved if necessary. I thought it was pretty amazing how lightning fast he SIMULTANIOUSLY gets info/needs, creates value and handles objections. I am not that fast and precise, YET :-) But one time he said he is a banker and later he said he is not a banker.
What a lot of people miss about this meeting is that Jordan responded to all resistance with an understanding, followed by a transitional need development question. If you’re struggling in sales, you’re probably not listening enough or asking the right questions. Get your ammunition from the client and once that gun is fully loaded, you pull the trigger when it’s time to close. A master at work here
That was actually a really tough sale. Most salesmen would have lost the rapport after 3 or 4 objections. But that guy objected Jordan like 7 or 8 times and it is very impressive how Jordan was able to keep on track the whole time and gradually removing his prospect's fears piece by piece. Going from trivial questions to questions which like 'What is the worst thing that could happen?' at the end is absolute genius. Obviously, it wasn't just the straight line method that works tho. Jordan Belfort clearly did A LOT OF RESEARCH prior to this sale meeting.
100% one cannot pull it off without an extensive research. One has to know what they are talking about to ask the right questions and to make the right offers
My thing about this old-school type of sales is that it feels like a rehearsed checkbox, not like there is an actual human conversation and exchange of ideas happening. Like staring in my soul and using rehearsed phrases that they read would make people more agreeable does nothing but make me feel like a wallet to a person that read too many books by sales gurus. If you have a human conversation with me, answer my questions about the product without acting like the more expensive thing is always the better option, and not be pushy with follow-up, I am 1000% much more likely to work with you. Acting like you know me or what is better for me is doing nothing but making me roll my eyes.
Damn he's a master. His indifferent, his body language is relaxed, his eye contact and confidence when he talks. He's asking questions, he is allowing the client to sell himself.
Say what you want about JB this guy knows his stuff and lives by his straight line system which does work. 1. Sharp as a tack 2. Enthusiastic as hell 3. Be an expert on your field
people think he keeps asking if it makes sense to them is purely to achieve continuity in them saying yes. But if you've actually studied his book you see that he never mentioned this continuity, rather using these questions as stopping off points. These are very important to see where your client is at on the straight line or the 3 tens. If they answer no than you cannot move forward in the sale

I also like “what would you like to do?”
"Corporate sales" aka another bullshit job
leo says that line in the movie haha
Could you explain the concept in more detail? “Let me try one thing or something small and really impress you”
I am no expert but I’m extremely observant of these psychological nuances and some of the refined techniques Jordan uses here.
Common ground - Copying of language and body language to create common ground (“Area-er”, “Chin-er”) - “I understand that”, conveying that you understand the client and are relatable in terms of relationship.
Assurance and Time frame - “We will get you what you need, I don’t want to interfere with so on and so forth, give us only 30 days and you will be satisfied.”
Confirmation bias - “Does that sound good enough?” - this allows the client the power to decide in favor of the seller and another avenue of information persuasion to take place.
Attention bias - “Let me ask you a question.” - Grabs the clients attention and allows the seller to produce an image for the client to create a bias for the seller.
And just towards the end, he got a little demanding to ice the cake. I don’t have a name for that one lol
Just thought I’d point these out for fun.

This guy can convince Leo DiCaprio to make a movie about himself.
"Guide you in, guide you out.." We used to say all of these lines as a Stockbroker back in 2000.
I think the gestures, are to mirror the customer. So, they are in a sync
His hands clasped together as a way of saying please 🙏 was brilliant. But never begged or used the word please.

He's the best salesman I have ever seen he's so full of energy when he's selling he's showing so much confidence it would be dumb not to work with him. He asked him what they would like to accomplish and he told him the problem they might have in accomplishing that, and then he told him he has 2 solutions to the problem or problems. Problem + Solution = $$$$
Power of coke
He is a complete fraud and still owes around 100 million to the government and people he ripped off through scamming them. No business with credibility should go near him.
The way Jordan talks is smooth. It's almost as if he is surfing man is just so chill in his sales tactic.
A master at work here
Good ear! This works I use this method daily lol
I am a master at " bating" Chinese in particular.
LADR - listen, acknowledge, discover, respond....simple selling
“Get your ammunition from your prospect and once the gun is fully load you pull the trigger when it’s time to close.” Damn
"A benchmark for future business" - Anyone else remember that line?

the only problem is that you didn't buy more.. sound good enough!?
He still uses it
my wife is going to kill me... but.. yeah sure...
xBLINDKILLA23x lol @ sound good enuf
Sounds far enough?
Straight line system
That was actually a really tough sale. Most salesmen would have lost the rapport after 3 or 4 objections. But that guy objected Jordan like 7 or 8 times and it is very impressive how Jordan was able to keep on track the whole time and gradually removing his prospect's fears piece by piece. Going from trivial questions to questions which like 'What is the worst thing that could happen?' at the end is absolute genius.
Obviously, it wasn't just the straight line method that works tho. Jordan Belfort clearly did A LOT OF RESEARCH prior to this sale meeting.
Seems like a role play pitch. The worst! Still rocked it
This whole thing was set up badly - after the first 2 rejections that salesman would have been out the door - even belfort.
He's applying every single selling tactic. A master at work.
Ya this isn't scripted at all....
What sales tactics?
Product centric selling is dead
This guy couldn’t sell food to a hungry person
@@arniepark721 Who are you?
Damn he's a master. His indifferent, his body language is relaxed, his eye contact and confidence when he talks. He's asking questions, he is allowing the client to sell himself.
lol..are you stupid
It’s called the why...
hes insanely corny. not sure how anyone woul fall for this.
I was waiting for that guy to go "Jesus, thats my mortgage man!"
21:55 he displays his confidence by getting closer, I'm just so impressed wow.
Say what you want about JB this guy knows his stuff and lives by his straight line system which does work.
1. Sharp as a tack
2. Enthusiastic as hell
3. Be an expert on your field
He uses the same lines as used in wolf of Wall Street hahaha
rambull Jr I didn’t say he stole the lines I just thought it was funny they are the same as what you hear in the movie
@@ladistarWell I would hope that that used the same lines as the guy they made the movie about
Yea but he’s copying what Leo said in the movie
Can someone explain "Sharp as a tack" to a non english speaker? Google Translator didn't helped much this time :(
This guy could sell an omelet recipe to Gordon Ramsay
how many comments u need?
Its not going to make you rich, its not going to make you poor. What it will do is serve as a benchmark for future omelets.Haha
haaaaaa
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀💀
Let me ask you a question!
Does it make sense to you?
Sound fair enough?
Great!
Right? RIght!
people think he keeps asking if it makes sense to them is purely to achieve continuity in them saying yes. But if you've actually studied his book you see that he never mentioned this continuity, rather using these questions as stopping off points. These are very important to see where your client is at on the straight line or the 3 tens. If they answer no than you cannot move forward in the sale
"this trade doesn't make you rich, neither do make you poor, but what it does is it serves as a benchmark for future endeavours." holy shit he used the line from the movie
