Did not expect y'all to react to Jumanji so quickly. Happy to see it. I wanted to suggest reacting to Ninja Assassin. There's not a single reaction channel that's reacted to the movie in its entirety and I don't know why, no matter who I ask to react to it, no one's responding. You guys could be the first people to react to it. Please make that your next reaction.
The same actor played the father and the hunter.. In my mind the hunter represented the angry father he remembered and always was having conflict with.. and represented all the fears he had. The point was to overcome his fears.. And then once he went back he overcame his fears, told his father about the shoe and had honest conversation with his father who really did love him but didn't know how to communicate with Alan. And others have said it.. But they yelled no about the Canada trip because that's how they were killed in a car accident.
Fun fact, the initial bike riding through the town square and the animal stampeding through the center of town scene were filmed in Keene NH where I lived. There is a painting on the side of a building in the film that says Parrish shoes, that has been preserved and is still present in Keene. You only see it in the film for a second. When they wanted extra's for people running through the streets if you showed up in the morning you got $10 for the day. The company I worked for had a lot of people take the day off and go down, if I recall correctly, we ended up leaving work early that day. They were only in town for 2 or 3 days but lots of excitement. I seem to recall the gray civil war general statue on the square was auctioned off after the filming, not positive of that though, it's been to many years. It was made of Styrofoam. Good times.
Hey folks. Great reaction to Jumanji. You mentioned wanting to watch the 'Peter Pan' movie starring Robin Williams. Actually that movie is entitled "Hook" and in my opinion is one of Robin Williams' best performances! It will remind you a lot of Jumanji, but it's even better.. it expands on the original storyline and fills in many of the 'loose ends' left in the original story. I think you'll love it! ❤😊😉 P.S. Please don't forget to watch the final movie in the trilogy you've nearly finished: Back to the Future part 3! You did a good job on parts 1 & 2 already. 😉👍
The interesting fact many forget about the game is why only certain people can hear its drums. "A game for those who seek to find, a way to leave the world behind. Those like Alan's parents and Aunt Nora were content with their lives so they never heard it.
Was always quite emotional this film, when the new one came out I thought they were going to really ruin it but I went and watched it with absolutely low expectations and thought it was absolutely hilarious. Definitely worth a watch.
Fun fact: This movie technically (though unnoficially) has a sequel. And not any of the recent remakes. A movie called "Zathura" picks up where Jumanji left off. Sort of. In the books, Zathura is the sequel, however the movie never acknowledges it is Jumanji's sequel.
Aside from Mrs Doubtfire. A Robin Williams movie that I would recommend is "Jack". Another Robin Williams movie is "One Hour Photo". It's a very different vibe to his other movies.
29:45 - I ADORE Robin Williams, but I will never not crack up at the way he yells, "It's a STEAMPEED!" Never expected the word "stampede" would make me laugh so hard, but...here we are. Lmfao 😂
Other Robin Williams movies to check out: Hook, Jack, Bicentennial Man, What Dreams Are Made Of, Jakob the Liar, Flubber, Good Morning Vietnam, Patch Adams, Mrs Doubtfire, Mork & Mindy (tv series), Dead Poets Society… I could go on. I don’t think there is a single movie that he made that wasn’t good. And I haven’t even included his animated movies. Also, definitely check out the other two Jumanjis. They are not remakes, but are continuations.
There was a very similar movie made ten years later called Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005). Of course it doesn't have Robin Williams. My favourite Robin Williams movies are 'Good Will Hunting', 'Dead Poets Society', 'Awakenings', and this one.
Technically, Zathura is a sequel to Jumanji, as the storybooks by Chris Van Allsburg. How? Well, at the end of Jumanji, Judy and Peter put the game back where they found it at the start of the story (under a tree.) On the last page, the book says Judy and Peter see two brothers walking down the street... with a boardgame box between them. When the book of Zathura comes out, it's the same brothers, but apparently a different game.
About who hears the drums. It's not just kids that can hear them and I only noticed it after watching the movie several times: "Jumanji: a game for those who seek to find a way to leave their world behind." That's what all the kids wanted for different reasons. Allen wanted to go away, Sarah wanted to be there for him, Judy and Peter because they lost their parents. They might not have realized it, but they wanted to leave their world behind. That's exactly what the game gave them and also taught them that maybe their world isn't so bad. Why did the pelican take the game? Because the game hinders and helps the players. It creates obstacles to overcome, but also helps them by keeping outside interference that would stop them playing away. For example, like everything worked to keep Carl away from them by going after his car. It took me forever to figure all that out. I didn't watch the new movies, because I always figured a sequel would be the same just in a big city. Take New York and see it taken over by the jungle as the movie and game goes on. Especially with modern possibilities. I realize it's just me, but what I saw of the new movies looked cheap to me. In comparison to the possibilities. In that regard, 'Zathura: A Space Adventure' (2005) was a good successor, even though it is a bit predictable.
I watched the second one with very low expectations. It was actually really good. I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe you might consider giving it a try. It's a rare sequel that works, like Karate Kid 2.
I have to admit Robin Williams was a great actor but Obviously Robin Williams must have had some kind of issues in his life or else would have not committed suicide and I hope he doesn't think that's going to get him in heaven because he will have to answer to God for committing suicide when judgement day comes
51:51 Wait, you mentioned Peter Pan. Have you guys seen "HOOK" ? If not, definitely react to it! It's another absolute classic starring Robin Williams and just as beautiful. (be sure to have tissues next to you tho :') )
If you're looking for another movie with the same vibe, I suggest you guys watch Zathura, from 2005, based on the book by the same author of Jumanji. Directed by Jon Favreau who went on to direct Iron Man.
Hey yall welcome back! We hope that you enjoy our video! Let us know what you think, and if we should do a reaction for the 2nd Jumanji!

For horror /scifi try the 1982 version of "The Thing"

Van pelt is a representation of alans unresolved issues with his father... Hes even played by his fathers actor
At the end, they's gonna yell: NOO!
Because it was on that holiday in the mountains that their parents died. That means they saved them now. 🙂
You should definitely watch the Robin Williams movie what dreams May come.

Van Pelt the hunter and Alan´s father are played by the same actor: Jonathan Hyde.

Loved the reaction. One of my favourite films. Y'all need to do a reaction for Hook. Another Robin Williams classic.
I'm such a fan of the original film i never watched the reboot franchise with Kevin Hart
We are thinking about checking them out!
Oh yeah, the reboot. Everyone was replaced by non-binary dogs, cats and marmots.
& I hope y'all finish the Rocky film series
Will definitely are looking forward to that!
@@ajandselena & the miyagiverse
Now you can watch the 2 more recent sequels. This first classic one is still the best to me but the newer ones are pretty good as well.
Thanks for the insights!!
Los acabo de conocer por recomendación de RUclips.. Y me encantan sus reacciones! ❤ !!! Amé Jurassic park! ❤
🫶🏻
The classic Jumanji was really good but I just didn’t like the big spider scene just saying anything but spiders or snakes
Lol yea im not a fan of spiders and snakes either
Fact: Scarlett Johansson auditioned for this movie. You can find it on here.
WOW! I love her!
Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle is even better
Wow really?! We will have to check it out!
Never...
Different. It holds it own.. but nothing beats the original. It is definitely worth seeing.
