  • This is my first Legal Ride on my recently purchased 2015 GSXR 600.
I have a few hours in a parking lot and recently completed the MSF course ( in the rain). I have limited to no riding Experience, but i have always had an interest in motorcycles. Wanted one from a young age and had a dirt bike when I was 15. This is different. This is my first legal ride.

. I've been riding 20 years, and I still watched your video. Really liked it. 👍
I can tell you are still new, but you are doing everything right. All the gear, all the time. Riding within your capabilities. Talking through your situations. Learning properly. You have it right. Go slow, slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Keep safe and remember. There are old bikers and there are bold bikers, but there aren't many old, bold bikers. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I also started on a gsxr 600 but wish i started on a smaller bike. Not for the safety, but the learning. I've learned much more about riding because of a slow bike fast vs a fast bike slow. U got balls to film and upload your first ride, I'd rather no one was even outside to see me 😂

I plan on getting into riding within the next few months, and one of my biggest concerns is the right bike for my size. I'm 5"10 and I weigh 260 lbs. I actually didn’t do it for RUclips. For as long as I could remember I’ve wanted a sport bike. Tried getting one at 18, didn’t happen. Then tried again at 21, 23, 25, and 28. All of which failed at obtaining a bike. I’m now 31 starting this. But I like making videos and I want to create content. So I figured this would be something cool to try. Just documenting what it’s like as a 600 as a first bike. Taking it seriously and doing the right things. Just trying to promote an acceptable way of doing this.

And always wear full gear, I started riding with the best gear available, basically full Gp RSV-4 leather jacket level 3/ alpine Gp gauntlet gloves/ AGV Gp helmet/ Alpine Gp boots/ Kevlar pants with pads.

So I found out on the gsxr 600 there’s no low power mode. There’s two different a and b modes but honestly no idea what they do. Apparently it’s two different track modes. But no noticeable difference (I’m not going fast enough to notice ) but yeah now I don’t switch a or b I just leave it.

The difference between A and B mode is reduce in power. A Mode is full power and B Mode is Rain Mode and it reduces about 40 hp.

I can give you insights from another new riders point of view. I listen to myself and ride to my potential. Do the research. Watch the RUclips videos on how to ride. Invest in good gear. Understand that when you mention motorcycles to most ppl you’ll get a horror story they have of one and how dangerous they are. Just prepare yourself correctly. Learn your bike. Know how to use the brakes, and be able to slow the bike down as fast as possible with out losing control of it. It’s an amazing experience and one I’m happy I finally did.

Not trying to be the buzzkill guy but I'm gonna kill your buzz, way too fast for a starter bike,I think you honestly cheaped out, you cheaped out because faster bikes(USED) usually aren't all that expensive, because the current rider doesn't want anymore (probably almost died and pooed his pants for the last time) or because the current rider beat the absolute piss out of the bike. Too many people are too scared to say anything "perceived negative" there's nothing negative about wanting to see people not die and seeing people learning how to properly ride instead, IMO, starting on a bike with over a hundred fucking horsepower isn't a starter bike, that's an intermediate to expert level bike, a gsx 250 or something would have been better and you could actually pin the throttle on a 250 in the corner where as your 600 you'd be stupid af to pin the throttle on that bike without the proper know how. not everyone is the same, everyone has different abilities riding, true, but every noob is a noob for a reason and that's why 600cc class bikes aren't noob bikes, they're closer to expert level bikes. Be super careful, ride safe, have fun, and don't tell your friends 600cc bikes are starter bikes because they are not sir LOL

Sidenote, just because every squid and fuckboy who drives a sport bike will likely say "hahah its fine bro" It's not, 600cc bikes are dangerous af when you dont know what you're doing

Its really not a big problem to start on a 600😕, you know how many people that ik started out on a cbr1000r or a r1 and they never crashed nor had any issues with anything. Its all what u can afford and nothing is wrong to buy any bike once u can afford it buy it rmr a bike wont go faster than u want it too plus with all the technology today on bikes u can make a 1000 feel like a 600 or even a 400 , and its the same for the 600s u can make them feel like a 300cc bike. So just buy what u like thats my advice cuz it doesnt make sense to waste money to buy a 600 over a 1000 if u have the money when u can just switch modes and make the 1000 feel like a 600, and for the weight difference it isnt much to feel lol i said what i said

@@Jefe-Rbro just enjoy the 600 anyone can buy what they like, ppl actually want ppl to buy a 250 that doesnt even sound good plus some persons would buy a bike just cuz they love the sound of it, my theory is any speed can kill and any bike doesnt matter can kill, just buy what u like and practice, be careful rmr a bike wont go faster than u want it too

  • @Zombiripuli
    @Zombiripuli Год назад +1

honestly i think starting on this is stupid. You seem super timid, scared to even go in the power band, aka the fun zone.
Rightfully so, i might add. These are not beginner bikes. With ridermodes they can be easier to learn on but without they are unforgiving.
And I can't imagine the seating position to be too comfy either, it's a race bike which you are riding like a 125 cc scooter.
You are going to be learning your bike physics on that bike which means that you'll be dropping that bike likely more than your next bikes.
and dropping that thing with fairings even from low speeds means a fairing makeover which is costly.
But of course, if you have money then nothing's a biggie. But not even with money can you undo some critical injuries which you'll likely get with that bike.
Not because it's a dangerous bike, no no, I ride an -01 zzr 1100 which has 150 hp that's my 5th bike.
Started on a 50cc 2t moped, then had a second one of those, then bought a 500cc ER-5, then a 125 cc scooter, and now the zzr 1100.
It was not a problem for me to maneuver my first big bike, the er-5, since I was already very familiar with how friction works, even though the power was a handful back then.
also on that kind of standard bike the riding position is also much more comfortable and actually meant for the street, unlike that bike, which belongs to the track.
