I think I have watched every one of your videos 3 times lol. My brother has decided to join me on track next season so ive sold my ktm rc8 track bike and bought 3 wrecked sv650 2nd gen bikes to build a couple good track bikes one of which we will race as well. Looking forward to your basic track bike build. Keep up the great work
This is a great video with tons of information! Thank you for that! Maybe I missed it, but which rear wheel you took there? It seems like a GSXR 750, correct?
I look forward to part two of these build series. I have been planning for a while to build an SV650 for track use as well. May I ask why you removed the oil cooler? Kind regards, Dennis Aretz
@@LWTRACER Okay thanks for your response. I have already seen all your video, you have a nice RUclips channel. I look forward to part 2 of the basic Sv 650 build. It inspires me more and more to start a track SV bike myself. Kind regards, Dennis Aretz
Thanks a lot for your answers 1st generation connecting rods just bring reliability? So I have a 1st engine and a 2nd generation, the best combo I can do with this is: - 1st generation connecting rods - 1st intake camshaft instead of the exhaust - cylinder head gaskets less thick Can we do something else? Are there any modifications to the injection that can be made apart from the bodies from robem engenering? I have a lot of questions that burn my lips, I contacted you on Facebook, if it's ever easier for you and if you agree to answer my questions of course Thank you so much
@@LWTRACER thanks very much for your reply, we have a stock teins championship here in the UK and im going to put a bike together to run aswell as my R6 all your tips and replies are greatly appreciated , Thanks, Gaz
Hello from France, I have a 2nd generation sv650, can we put the 1st gen connecting rod and the intake camshaft as you say without modifying anything else? Thanks in advance
@@LWTRACER does it have much effect on running temp of the engine? Im gonna steal the captive brake holder idea and the springs in the chain adjusters 😅😅 be great if you could get up a vid finishing off the bike, any little tips and tricks are greatly appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So why did you get rid of the oil cooler ? I'm sure there's a really good reason, but there will be more oil in the entire system plus a cooler. Isn't more oil cooler oil with the benefits of an oil cooler, or was this just to keep up oil pressure ?
@@LWTRACER does it really weigh that much ? .... I understand it cause if you can shed lbs for racing it's beneficial. I didn't know that about the gen 1 SV ... Good to know though

L2 V-strom 677 here. I put Gixxer stick coils on mine and capped off the outside spark plug. What do you think about the single spark plug heads?
What size of wheel do you use and where the front forks coming from?
Have you replaced the rear linkage spacers, what you called dowels, with aluminium tube ? My steel ones are rusty as crap and need replacing.
Where is part2? I see you don't run a radiator fan. What temps are you seeing both water in what riding/atmosphere temps?
Can you put a 2012 gsxr600 swingarm onto this? Will it fit?
Do you know what size springs used on the chain adjusters?
Is it possible to remove the oil cooler on a GSXR 750 track bike?
Where is part 2?
I cant find part 2???
May I ask what kind of footpegs are you using?

HI, you say in the video you remove a layer of head gasket - is that literal or do you mean you use a thinner gasket ? info greatly received. Gaz
Literally remove the middle layer. they pull apart.
