Really great to hear you had a much better "track experience" this time.
I was smiling listening to you say "I can not wait to go back next year....."
That's an awesome feeling to have and now you're hooked. 😁
I have been with Penguin school all summer but, I signed up for my first
time with Fishtail Riding school up in Tamworth at Club Motorsports 9/26
& 27. They are a different school for sure. Not better or worse, just different.
Having a track in "better condition" to ride/learn on will always help with your
confidence. I've heard a lot of good feedback about Canaan(I know a few of
us New Hampsha' hicks have already said it but, we pronounce it kaynin, or
something close to that 😁) and will look into getting up there next summer.
Would be great to meet ya' and say hello! Absolutely love seeing you post up
this track content! Thanks for taking the time and effort to film and edit it.
    Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍
    Randy

I thoroughly enjoy watching this video. I’m getting into racing in the next year. I’ve had the opportunity to attend track days last season and gain some “no ride” experience. I like the slow pace here and you’re going to fall in love with this as a fun hobby real quick. I met a few people who claim by the SV650 being a phenomenal first track bike. Leaning into the turns and getting your hips off the seat is what’s up. You’re killing it and keep having fun with the community, it’s nothing like I’ve seen before.

Loving this new content. Track riding and track focused build videos are a nice change of pace from your usual stuff. Would love to see you try some supermoto racing or just a track day at a sm or kart track. Seeing you try new stuff is refreshing when other moto bloggers just beat a dead horse with the same content over and over. Keep up the good work!

"I have no interest in racing." lol, just wait. I bought a street 2001 SV650 2 years ago because I was losing confidence in my street riding ability and wanted to get comfortable turning right. That SV650 is straight track now, and I just got my racing license. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.

  • @Szlejer

Seems like a much better place to learn, the other one had a very negative and chaotic vibe. Don't jump groups until you are overtaking most of the group. There are always a few idiots who sign up for lower groups, usually to show off the skills they don't have. They don't know the difference between a race and a trackday. Just avoid them and have fun... Riding the track in the same gear is perfectly fine until you learn the lines and feel comfy. Set the suspension up correctly and set track tire pressures to have another huge confidence boost.

Hey! Great pick getting the SV650! I picked one up last year and started racing it. It took me 11 years to get into track riding and the bug bit me HARD! If you have the budget I highly recommend getting a mini moto as well and looking up NJMP! You'll be amazed how much your confidence gets boosted after spending some time on a mini pushing it as hard as it can go on a kart track. The track days are CHEAP too! It took me two more weekends to get into A group after picking up minis. TRUST ME. Its the fastest way to learn how to ride well.

Im telling you, sign up for TTD(Tonys Track Days) and never look back. The curriculum will teach you MUCH more than Fish Tails. TTD is focused more on safety and good habit building and the tracks they cover are a bit more fun. Not to mention they have a heavy focus on how to find lines and how to handle different corner types, which trains you how to handle corner TYPES. That way even if you are unfamiliar with a new track, youll be able to pick up the line faster which lets you get right to having fun even faster.

Glad you got a confidence boost from here. Sorry to hear about the previous one, it's easily to get intimidated with riders further along the road of track riding experience or racing experience for that matter. But in the end you ride your own ride, but I can imagine how you felt in the previous one. SV held up nice as well. Wouldn't expected different being a Japanese bike, with proper maintenance or even kinda bad mainenance they tend to run even. But with extra tlc they pretty much run forever it seems lol.

Hi Hero, you have a bike “watching” that was built for racing. Why didn’t you save the cost of the SV and just buy some fibreglass racing fairings for the 600 and track it. Then on tighter tracks you would potentially be quicker than similar rider skills on litre plus bikes.

I got an 2016 R3, but it's super slow and I don't like the riding position or feel comfortable. I guess I'm too use to my R1. I want to take it to the track, but I worry about laying the bike down. You can modify the r3 to suit you better. Personally I’d try using that over the r1. But that’s just me. My buddy on his 1k was instantly comfortable on his bike on the track.
Alternatively you can put clip one and rearsets on the r3 to make it more like the r1. If I were you I’d force myself to ride the r3 until it becomes comfortable then take it to the track or modify it.

  • @leeengelsman1855
    @leeengelsman1855 Год назад

You should have been in fifth gear you can definitely take those corner's a bit quicker don't worry about extra speed on the straight. Just concentrate on your lines to become one contiguous line taking in the whole track not just corner to corner so that each corner exit point is also the entry for the next corner.
This will give more consistent speed higher overal to reduce trail braking and allow quicker exits because you will be higher in the gears and power band.
All ways look far ahead .
