The scene where he slapped the kid will always be freaking hilarious lol
"You just brought piss to a shit fight!" Goddamnit if I don't laugh at that scene every time I see it.
9:21
The most iconic scene. That was a peak Bachman moment
A9l
Ikr
I miss him. Such an iconic character.
do you know why he left the show?
It's a shame he was such a baby about coming back for the finale
Amen. I feel there's been a real asshole vacuum ever since he left.
he WAS the show. he worked in such a contrast to the other characters and the show got very girly after season 4 i thought.
@@bo64625 He wanted to further his movie career. Then the sexual allegations came out about him as well as when he called a fake bomb threat. Dude isn't helping his own case.
Erlich and Jin Yang are the perfect duo
Not better than Dinesh and Gilfoyle
The garbage scene was pure gold 😂
Until Jim Yang murdered him
@@D3ADM0N5T3RC4T that was the plan but they left it open ended. He could be in a cage or another place filled with opium.
The Skipper & Gilligan of the 2010s! Loved them too.
If you think about it, as soon as Erlich left, Pied Piper actually did well as a company for a season.
But without Erlich the company would never have gotten as far as it did. Erlich understood the business side. He was able to actually sell the idea of Pied Piper to Peter Gregory when Richard couldn’t. He started and contributed to the middle out algorithm. He helped keep the server up during the stream. He bailed Richard and Pied Piper out of a lot of tight spots.
Who the hell did that happen
@@omegalock3549 y
MEanME the future? What does any of that have to do with Erlich? The point is that Erlich was instrumental in Pied Piper getting to where they were.
Monica and the “Sexy Boss Lady” (Laurie) were good at business but how much did they really help? Monica tried to when she could but only really helped them out a few times, and Laurie didn’t give a damn about them.
As for Jared, he is good a business but only a certain side of it. The numbers, the administrative stuff, slowly molding Pied Piper into a legitimate company, and what he does makes him instrumental as well.
But Erlich understood something about business that Jared couldn’t, that Monica didn’t have time to lead them through. He had an instinct that helped Pied Piper navigate through the world of investors and other politics and social bullshit. He could present the company in ways that Richard couldn’t. While Richard was too nervous, awkward, and throwing up, Erlich helped him present the business plan to Peter Gregory which really got them their start. And he would even push Richard to have an attitude of a CEO, giving him more confidence and resolve in his decisions. Erlich could see through the corporate bullshit that was fed to them, he even noticed the coup that was attempted on Laurie before Monica did. And even outside of that, Erlich bailed the company out of a lot of tight spots.
Erlich and jian yang were a waste of time they could use that time on better characters.
1:49 bighead struggling to not break character
that was sooooooo funny
Never noticed that hahaha good call
😂 he was so close to cracking before they cut to a different camera
If you had to explain to straight people what Grindr was, you'd lose it too
Too right! Lmao!
“I told them I was Pesca-pescatarian, which is one who solely eats fish that eat other fish.”
Erlich and Gavin interacting was low-key the funniest parts of this series. Not only were the scenes funny, but the point that a loudmouth like Erlich could seemingly interact on the same level as a CEO billionaire when confronted with each other really showed how these billionaire emperors really have no clothes so to speak. It's mostly talk and posture. And I would have paid good money to watch a short spin-off about the misadventures of the two in Tibet.
His character was the best. Aviato!!
My aviato?
Benjamin Verheijden is there any other avìato?
rodger so Legally there can't be
1:45 Bigheads actor is trying SO HARD to not break character lol
when?
@@thomascordes2799 1:48 , when he’s closing his eyes and smirking
Damn, never noticed that til just now
Just a random thought about his 10% share: Peter says that it was insane to give 10% of a promising company to Erlich for sandwiches and a futon but in reality he didn't. Erlich got 10% of a not so promising company, Pied Piper only became successful much later. Erlich was never a scammer to his incubees , a year's rent in his house would probably be worth 20k or so, most of the companies failed, he probably lost 100s of thousands in rent, he deserves the 10% once it actually works out.
Plus didn't he provide power, wifi and food too?
That's.... How incubators work....
Although he was completely lazy and stupid with his money, he had experience and taught a few valuable business lessons to Richard too.
@@robrick9361 incubees had to pay for own food it was said somewhere in the show.
@@pranavpatkiwhich….is….why….he….is saying…..what Peter said…..was stupid
This show was so underrated it’s crazy. It will forever live on. I think it’s popularity will sky rocket in the coming years
What bothers me the most about TJ Miller's departure from the show is I always saw him as the "Yoda" of Silicon Valley. He doesn't need to be in every episode or have a pivotal role in the season, but he's there for guidance and a divine bizarre wisdom that only he can provide. The concept that Yoda could show up in a future Star Wars movie adds to the fun. Erlich could have done the same for this show from Season 5 on. Such a missed opportunity.
William McCormick Nice observation!
i feel like he represented silicon valley better than gavin belson ever did. hes the endearing shitty asshole stoner that has experienced so much his attitude mirrors what it takes to survive in the valley. ill always miss his character, it was like taking dale gribble out of king of the hill
It wasn"t a character
Dimdamm yes it was
Kinda like Ron Laflamme
Gave this show its spark. Wasn’t the same show without him.
After watching these series, it's really clear that TJ Miller was a cornerstone of the comedy in this series and everyone else had to work hard to support it in his absence.
Oh yeah it definitely suffered without him, I almost stopped watching. I don’t think this show would’ve been green lit without him initially
Erlich is totally the Eric Cartman of this team.
This is financial advice and I never give financial advice: DONT LEAVE DURING THE BEAR. If you don’t want to invest…learn. If you don’t want to learn…build. If you don’t want to build observe. DO SOMETHING…other than leave. There is so much opportunity here. Take advantage!
Just because there are opportunities in the market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly. To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I'll advise you to seek the help of a professional.
Susan Nico busted it wide open for me
i wish i had quarter of his confidence
The trick is to keep smiling and pretend you know what you’re doing.
@@justinlaine420 The trick is to appear as an extreme of a stereotype on a comedy show.
No, you actually don't, it comes with too many downsides. Did you even watch the show?
@@Benjumanjo I mean, if you had a quarter of the confidence rather than 100% you'd probably avoid a lot of those downsides.
@@bbydykdyl7779 It’s less about the *quantity* of the confidence and more the *quality* of the confidence. Bachman has an excess of low quality confidence, he has no practical skills and belittles people who do, constantly underestimates others and gives them the upper hand. He can only hurt himself and those around him.
High quality confidence is based realistically on your actual abilities, is more goal-driven and less ego-driven. It stems from a sense of purpose in life; a feeling that something needs to get done, that a problem needs to get solved, no matter the cost.
Erlich was the glue for the show, He did a particularly good job making Richard appear a bit balanced. Once he left the wheels came off
He was the funniest character, the show suffered without him.
totally.
Yeah but jared is amazing as well
@@tkokflux6322 hell no.
The show only works with all of them together. The contrast in characters is necessary, in my opinion
@@tkokflux6322 Donald?
26 minutes is not enough for the best of erlich.
25:30 My favorite Erlich quote
I can’t remember the context behind this scene
21:25 fun fact: Bill Hader voices “Pipey”. His name was credited at the end of the episode and after racking my brain trying to find his physical appearance...I finally realized that it’s very clearly his voice here.
Omg
Well, what do you know about that! 🤔🤓
Holy shit! That's awesome
I thought he was going to make a cameo in the final episode😞😞
Yeah the jian yang being erlich pissed me
@@what_nani ya that was so dumb and disappointing
I believe the cast had problems with the actor.
@@craigharkins4669 the FBI had problems with TJ Miller. He called in a fake bomb threat and is facing 5 yrs jail time.

15:30 "38 when I'm on it" 🤣🤣
“One of them is the least attractive person and I’m not gonna say who that is”, Damn, this is hilarious joke! Epic T J Miller!
"Especially Radiohead" 😂😂
This killed me😂
I miss Erlich.. He was the antithesis to Jared, and i love them both. Bummer he left... :-(
He didn't leave, he was kicked off the show because of his unprofessionalism.
@@oscarm6990 which was stupid because... the show
Silivon Valley is the only series where I had a bigger attachment to supporting characters than the main character!
because the main character is kind of a douche tbh
10:58 he just owned Gavin Belson
13:23. One of the best line deliveries ever
This is brilliant 😂😂
9:21 and 10:58 were great scenes. Erlich retaliating to Gavin and others who were dicks to Richard were great highlights. Since he wasn't in finale, I hope they make a spinoff with him.
I don't think that'll happen with how he left the show and all the complaints against him
22:22 to 22:30 is LOL
Erlich exit was the worst decision of silicon valley. This guy is so manly and aggressive in a great way...lol miss you
When Richard opens the garage to reveal his weed grow in front of the cops always takes me out 😂
Best character on the show! Erlich and Jian together are multiplicative good!
9:21
his best moment in the whole series
"I will k*** your mother,I will r*** your father"
I think he has gotten his orders mixed up lol
It’s a shame that this dude is no longer on the show. He’s hilarious 🤣
well, the actor was unprofessional, hard to work with and harassed women so i think it's justified
This show has suffered so much without him.
And it was literally all his fault. Such a bad decision on his part.
And supposedly, as per his words, he left the show to do that emoji movie - which it's the most Erlich Bachman's thing he could ever have done. I confess I didn't watch the thing, but *every* single review I've read was shitting on that.
I thought it had to do with him abusing drugs and alcohol and it getting in the way of his work…
Erlich Bachman IS the Silicon Valley :)
He was the best character in the show. After his departure, the show lost its soul.
I wish there`d be Silicon Valley 2 with Erlich Bachman character with TJ ... One can only dream.
I so badly want for there to be a universe where Erlich Bachman just absolutely destroys Sheldon Cooper by a chance encounter.
10:34 Monica's eye-roll always cracks me up at this part
Swear I always come back to this video every few months as a comfort watch. 😂
Back 😅
You missed his best scene!
"Turns out i've been reincarnated within the time period in which I already live"
21:45 he lights up the wrong end lol
I love Erlich, but the show definitely didn’t die without him. I missed him once he left, but 2-3 episodes into season 5, I barely noticed he was gone. The writers did an excellent job propelling the show forward.
I personally completely disagree no one was particularly funny in all the scenes they were in they all had occasionally good jokes but Erich was funny 99.9% of the time and the others jokes don’t always land
Are you kidding me the show died without him
i disagree. The show was a lot of fun with him. Its a comedy after all. But now its just...empty? It doesnt feel worth watching honestly.
Was still great would've been better other him
Erlich smoking out of a watering jug while they steal Noahs lemons one last time still cracks me up harder than it should.
My favorite erlich part is when Jared said "it's just money, it has no real value" and erlich says "IT LITERALLY DEFINES VALUE!" lololol. Not on here
Erlich is like a star fish ... they float, they swim... and nothing else
@Aaron A420 Indeed ....
Not a single "JIAN YANG!" For shame
9 X f = fleventy five
😂😂😂😂 this is just awesome
I love this scene, sadly it's wrong tho, 9 x 15 = 135 and 135 in hex is 87 so... Yeah
20 years from now, they’ll only remember Erlich.
“I’ve been known to fuck myself” is one of the greatest lines in tv history.
Missed him so much in the later seasons.
Erlich is rolling in Grindr money 😂
I always wonder what direction it would have gone if he wasn't fired. he was the best part of the show.
The bait and switch of teasing Erlich in the finale was bullshit considering he was the funniest character seasons 1-4 before passing the torch to Jared
It was pathetic. N Jin Yang killed him
Jared Hagahag NO
Well, his actor was kinda super against coming back
“No... was noot bait and a swits.... I am a Elric Bacuman. I am a fat and a stupid.... and rich.
@@JDHGaming underrated
His character was freaking legendary!!
What a great character.
This is an ‘ambition over knowledge’ case study. Just hilarious.
“What is that atrocity? What are we an Irish pornography company?” 😂😂😂😂😂
the way he was written out of the story was amazing, I still missed him tho
I really loved him and I'm really going to miss him
Such an iconic actor
Erlich played real well, like the talk to galvin on tech crunch the most
"You know Russ, I've been known to fuck myself!"
Lmao I never got that bit before
really funny, enjoyed that man
Erlich (SV) reminds me of Hyde (70s), they played their character so well too. Probably because it's who they are so its just a platform for them to let loose.
This is so re-watchable. I must of played this video in the background a 100 times.
So they were capable of getting Bill Gates in the finale and not f***ing TJ Miller?!
Erlich was in the finale. He used to be fat.
24:15, 19:46 might b my all time favorite scenes, never heard anyone utter those words that way🤣😂🤣
I watch this whenever I have a bad day
The forking part made me cry laugh for a full ten minutes first time I saw it. I just…didnt see it coming. Was chuckling every time I thought about it that whole day.
I mean the fact that TJ Miller left the show to fail on the big screen, is method acting turned up to eleven.
0:50 It seems that Big Head was developing Nip Alert for Windows Phone. If Nip Alert would have been released on Windows Phone, I think it would have single-handedly saved the platform from failure. It would have been its killer app!
Erlich was the show
As a huge Radiohead fan I straight up lost it when he said that 😂😂😂😂.
9:22 When parents ask "But how can i control my child?"... The answer is right here...
20:31 underrated lmfao
The Grindr bit... is exactly how I imagine investors describe their invenstment in the company.
i miss this show so much
21:50 the best of his best, no questions asked :))
The jokes are so well done
“Ya know, half the yogurt is gonna go unused because a quarter of the jam can’t come out”
😂😂😂
Absolutely Fantastic
Love this guy!
E. Bachman is Silicon Valley. The show will die without him.
Wish he come back in season 6
he is too busy inhaling whippets, sad, really. i liked that guy but he is going to end up like steve-o and if he doesn't go to rehab he will stay that way.
wasn't he arrested for something?
He was arrested for assaulting his uber driver while inhaling whippets on the backseat and also for making a false bomb threat on a train while wasted. FYI he made the bomb threat to the wrong train.
He has been accused of sexual assault onto his coworkers. Asshole fit the role too well.
Will there be season 6???
Elich is the soul of Silicon Valley!
The show wasn’t the same without him 😭it became 50% less fun.
I love his voice
He DOES have a nice voice! I never realized that!
Might be my favorite character out of any comedy tv show lmao
my favorite fuck up in this entire show is when TJ is smokeing the bowl in the reclineing chair then procedes to light the wrong end LMFAO kills me everytime
9:21 no matter what, a good slap is ALWAYS funny!!
That Phillip McCrevasse line never gets old! 😂
😂😂😂
Best character hands down.
The comment about "not being an asshole creates a vacuum that other assholes come in and fill" is actually pretty true. The asshole will always be searching for the environment in which he/she can dominate the people around them.
That’s why you should be an asshole, convert to non-asshole, and thwart off assholes with eye contact
I don’t know why but he is my favorite.
I miss erlich in the show
10:59 will always be one of my all-time favorite scenes lmao Just absolutely destroys Gavin, leaving him speechless
15:44
Erlich was so real for embarrassing himself like that as a last ditch effort for Richard .
I wish tj had a sense of professionalism so we could have had him for the final seasons .
