For me to even conceive of the possibility that this actor isn’t actually this character in real life is so hard for me. It really speaks to the quality of his performance.

Matt Ross was brilliant in this. He did a great job portraying such a hilarious villain. Hell I was rooting for him at times
I didn't think he could outperform himself from AHS season 1, but he most certainly did in this one.

Interned at a manufacturing plant and the plant manager was just like Gavin Belson. Guy always had alcohol in his office and on the last day of our contract, he treated all of the students to dinner and tried to get us fked up lol.

Gavin Belson is a Monster
Easily one of my top three favorite characters in the show. My personal favorite moments:
- "I just got humiliated by a fucking teenager" - I like how he sees Richard, who is clearly in his late 20s at least, as a teenager
- the way he wears sneakers everywhere, even with a nice blazer at the conference at 4:35
- the hand motion at 0:53
- the way he shoves aside the IT guy at 3:25
- him clutching some prayer beads at 5:29 while he's furiously cursing at and threatening to sexually assault Richard
- the magnificent voice crack at 6:06
- the way he sounds like a cartoon villain in how he says "hideous face" at 6:41
- the mouth spray into that one guy's face at 8:53
- his ability to attract the endless devotion of numerous male sycophants (Hoover, Denpok), his mounting obsession with Richard for the duration of the show after Richard rejects his buyout in the first episode, and the fact he's all alone in enormous mansion with no wife or kids to speak of, all furthering my theory that he's actually gay
If they ever do a movie about the WWF Attitude Era, this guy would make a PERFECT young Vince McMahon.

This show is brilliant in the sense that it captures all parts of the tech industry. Hooli is a parody of Yahoo. Gavin Belson is like a Steve Ballmer type guy who’s an energetic guy but also a screw up for a large company. Richard is like an awkward CEO of a company like Mark Zuckerberg.
