I'm curious on your thoughts of a ulta low frequency but fairly loud exaust. Doesn't seem loud due to frequently but you can feel each revolution. In your opinion is that more or less intimidating then a completely silent exaust?
The kind that you can hear idle from 2 blocks away and trips other car alarms when red-lining is, in my opinion, a lot more intimidating, especially if the resonant frequency is extremely low with barely any high frequencies.
I love a car that isn't really screaming loud, but just has that loping, deep thump type sound...the sound that you feel in your chest more than you hear it with your ears.
Red pop-up headlights at night. Just imagine driving casually at night and then two red lights pop up in the darkness ahead, that would probably startle or scare some people.
Im glad you brought up the V6 Mustang. Iv actually been looking into and playing around with the idea of picking up a AWD V6 Charger or Challenger, and building the crap out of the engine and running twins just on the fact that the V6 Chargers and Challengers are so hated and the laughs of trolling people in one. Thank you for giving me more motivation to pull the trigger on this idea.
Do a video on the history and such on the "Superfly " Pimpmobile cars (that originated on the East Coast by creator Les Dunham at his "Dunham Coach" shop in Boonton , New Jersey) of the 1960s and 70s, which gave way to the "S.L.A.B(Slow Loud And Bangin') Culture " in Texas. I can give you all the details and all by the way.
You gotta understand there’s different types of styles. Just cause a car is low with camber with 19s doesn’t make it “clout chasing” or “wanting to look fast” it’s called a show build.
bruh. I've got a Noob's Guide series to help you learn the terms. I personally think I've already dumbed down most of the car terms. By the time you watch Chris Fix or Engineering Explained, they sound like they're speaking an Alien Language to newbies!
I feel like it’s the opposite for electric cars, where loud EVs are more intimidating. Some examples are the McMurtry Spiérling (even without the fan system) or the Audi Hoonitron. Both are electric, but the motors make loud sounds while driving
I would love to have a road-legal drag setup. Powerful engine, drag tires at the back, but with stock interior, maybe stock exhaust and normal tires at the front for comfort
@Infatuateed _ well, it’s not in my area, since all I’ve ever seen are some Hawkeye Imprezas with spray painted black wheels, but they are a common occurrence. Most of the time when people have a big menacing intercooler it’s hidden behind mesh or whatever.
I'll admit at first I misunderstood the purpose of the vid, I thought it was the most intimidating car mod to do to your own car. My first thought was instantly "The first mod" because I just added a rear strut bar to my little hatch and it was so nerve wracking to cut into her trim for the first time. Possible vid idea I guess
9:09 I’d add clutchless drag racing transmissions like lencos jericos Doug Nash and some others. Same as sequential but it’s more difficult to downshift because you don’t downshift until the finish line. Keep up the great content.
Won't lie, since I've 2ZZ swapped my MR2, I've also been quite the fan of cars without exhaust noise. I say that moreso meaning you don't hear much at the stop light, but when the pedal goes does it SCREAMS! It's something special when a Mustang gives me a rev at the red light, then straight drop em when that valve lift kicks in at 6200rpm and it goes from sounding like a grocery getter to a damn F1 car.
This video makes me appreciate my childhood. My father had junk yard 70 Challenger with a 340 bored and stroked to a 418 at 13:1 compression running idk what octain fuel but it was from VP. He'd take me to car meets, swap meets, drag strips, and all the cars he'd show me had all these items. He'd ignore the ricers that I thought looked badass and he'd go talk to the owners of other cars like his with bondo patches, fiberglass fenders, and scratched up plexiglass windows. If I may, my trip down memory lane make me realize there's one item missing from this list, roll cages. A car with even just a basic cage wrapping around the front seats is enough to get my attention. Maybe it was on the list and I missed it, if so I apologize.
As someone with a modded ecoboost F150, running 200HP more than stock, with stock exhaust, I'm glad you put silent exhaust on the list. When I pull up to someone with a loud exhaust and they go for it thinking they're the fastest thing out there, it makes me smile so big seeing their look of disappointment when this quiet, full sized, truck, blows by them and all they hear is BOV.

I agreed with most of this list but nowadays people build their car for different reasons. I’ve seen some nice looking cars that are completely stock in the engine bay and I appreciate that. Building a car is a form of art and there is no right or wrong way imo
I like how you showed the 350z for the low sound because I aspire to make a silent but deadly Z out of my Z and its already pretty quiet, but I wanna make it quieter than a f22 before a flyover
Dude, you nailed right out the box! The first thing a real car person will always look at when sizing up a car’s potential is the back tires. Nice list!

Cutouts then you can have both
Bladed is like that one kid who doesn’t show up so often but when he does, he means business
Great video, as always.
For the wing entry: do not underestimate those who do hill climbs, they also have short gears 😁
It's all fun and games until an Ambulance with a Twin-Screw Supercharged 6.9L V8 flies past. You can hear the Supercharger and the sirens, which shows how powerful that TSSC is.
bruh tf. This sounds so elaborate, it must be real. If so, anything I can search up to find it?
@@BladedAngel It's something I made in BeamNG Drive. I modified four Gavril D45 Ambulances for racing and off-roading [Because doing that kind of stuff is fun]. Two of them were powered by Twin-Screw Supercharged 6.9L V8's. The TSSC was so loud you couldn't hear the engine over it so it was probably just as loud as the sirens. The other two were powered by Turbocharged 5.6L V10's.
I could go on about it, but I won't unless you want me to.
I've made some crazy ass builds in that game.
@@BladedAngel If I can remember to, when I get home I'll record a video and put it on RUclips to show you what I'm talking about.
As soon as you said Ambulance with a 6.9, I know it was either a Gavril D-Series or H-Series.
@@joshjlmgproductions3313 Fellow BeamNG Drive player 🤝
The last entry is what i plan on doing with my car. Silent but deadly sleeper. Want to keep the exterior, interior, and exhaust stock, but add a nice Centrifugal Supercharger for the jet engine sound. Still need to rebuild engine and transmission before doing this, but really hope to get this going one day.
Most intimidating car I’ve ever seen was a 5th gen Camaro on beadlocks with a pro charger and a nasty cam. Dude was super chill but holy hell was I feeling small when I showed him my tune only GTI lol
@4:28 The "Oh sh*t I'm in trouble" starter pack 😂
Another intimidating mod I think should get a mention is engine swaps
Like swapping a really powerful engine into a car that normally wouldn't fit on/an engine not usually engine swapped
like the v12 miata
Someone put a fucking 24 liter tank engine in a crown Vic soooo
@@GasDrinker6455B Can you accomodate a link.
Unsure if your familiar with Mustangs but your comment perfectly relates to a 87-93 Foxbody with a gen 2 coyote engine in it
The only cars wit big wings that intimidate me are calvo vipers. My ancestors were scared of their flying feathered-serpent god, why wouldn’t I be afraid of a big-winged viper 😂😭😭😭
I'd say the scariest thing ever is pulling up and being able to here to supercharger whine on idle on a car that shouldn't have a suoer charger here in Australia I hear that I'm like Na bro I'm good have a good day not me sir
It’s even scarier when it has ultra-deep chops. Even if it doesn’t got a nitrous kit or any aspiration, that’s already a sign of an allmotor. Make sure you turn off as soon as you can before the hidden side exit exhaust blows a 2 foot flame onto your new paint.
@@GasDrinker6455B well said I got gapped by an evo and qhen we were turning off it was shooting huge flames while gearing down I was like yeah that checks out hahaha
I'm curious on your thoughts of a ulta low frequency but fairly loud exaust. Doesn't seem loud due to frequently but you can feel each revolution.
In your opinion is that more or less intimidating then a completely silent exaust?
that sound amazing.
Red light are illegal in most states
Nahhh.. flashing blue lights is more intimidating.. especially when it shows up in a rear view mirror..
Idk any of the words Bladed Angel is saying but this and his overall content interesting me 🔥
bruh. I've got a Noob's Guide series to help you learn the terms. I personally think I've already dumbed down most of the car terms. By the time you watch Chris Fix or Engineering Explained, they sound like they're speaking an Alien Language to newbies!
When the fuel pump is louder than the exhaust, you know you should just not race.
"cars that are silent" lets be honest we all knew what was coming when he said this
One of the most intimidating car mods, is a fat cam and/or blower surge on a V8, all you have to do is IDLE, to let everyone know whats up.
weld racing wheels and drag slicks on the back. on a v6 mustang will make it intimidating.
“I’m scared of silent engines”
Bladed: “I fear no man, but that thing… *electric cars* it scares me”
I feel like it’s the opposite for electric cars, where loud EVs are more intimidating.
1:38 the visual definition of insane, yet really cool
Another one for dig racers.
When someone pulls in and has a very loose converter. You know it has some big N/A power and RPMs like a mofo.
Would you be scared if you hear a car that does not idle steadily? Great vid!
I would LOOVE to build a sleeper (maybe a wagon) that makes literally no noise but it goes fricking flying... But Europe 😔🤷
rip
@mo gamer Can confirm as a Serbian, where I grew up lots of vehicles were Euro 3 and 4, barely any Euro 5
One of my favorites are cars with air intake where the headlight should be. Or having turbos sticking outside the hood.
How about massive front mounted intercoolers on cars that shouldn't have them . That's pretty intimidating .
Not really since most of the time they fake or not even connected to anything
@@GasDrinker6455B wait what
People actually do that ?
I feel so unsatisfied after reading this
@@GasDrinker6455B WHAT
@Infatuateed _ well, it’s not in my area, since all I’ve ever seen are some Hawkeye Imprezas with spray painted black wheels, but they are a common occurrence. Most of the time when people have a big menacing intercooler it’s hidden behind mesh or whatever.
@@speedyboi349 It’s depressing... sometimes some real dedicated ricers make that shit out of cardboard, paint, and pvc pipes.
Tier 100 intimidating mod - leaving the bumper guards on your base charger 😂😂
6:22 you forgot to add E85 is also cheaper then gasoline
9:09 I’d add clutchless drag racing transmissions like lencos jericos Doug Nash and some others. Same as sequential but it’s more difficult to downshift because you don’t downshift until the finish line. Keep up the great content.
hey Bladed, Ive been watching you for a few years and I enjoy every video I watch. You're doing an awesome job my man, thank you.
I've seen someone literally DESTROY their car live on TikTok just for donations and shit via PayPal. It still breaks my heart to this day.
What car was it?
Won't lie, since I've 2ZZ swapped my MR2, I've also been quite the fan of cars without exhaust noise. I say that moreso meaning you don't hear much at the stop light, but when the pedal goes does it SCREAMS! It's something special when a Mustang gives me a rev at the red light, then straight drop em when that valve lift kicks in at 6200rpm and it goes from sounding like a grocery getter to a damn F1 car.
3:15 I wonder how much downforce and drag does that give
Probably little to none

The only agressive car mod is panting “free candy” on an old ford boxvan
free 10mm sockets
Ducktails are my favorite mod, they just look sick
I also like big chunky tires and superchargers. I guess I just prefer drag cars to track cars
Nah man just slap on some eyelids on a 2009 beetle
That wing on the smart car had me cracking up xD
It looked like a sprint car wing
Imma nominate the Ram TRX, was around one the other day at work and just standing behind it scares me a bit 🤣
Bladed Angel never fails at oppening my mind to things I never realized or tought about 😂👏
Most intimidating car mod is, Metal Lug Nut Spikes
7:16 foking 8 bottle of nos bro dat car goes to the moon
Rocket league starter pack
The SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!
Made me so happy when you gave praise to the 3.7 v6 mustang. Been modding mine and soon will be boosted!!
Bladed! I was in my impreza and almost beat a gt mustang last night! ALMOST!!!! LMAO think we were on 285. But I stopped traffic got to thick. So idk it was close. I definitely kept up.
The sound of big cams is also very intimidating
I live in the EU… the only “Car guys” cars I have seen were a Silvia S15 with a thin widebody, a R33 that looked stock and an old eclipse that was drifting.
It's so satisfying hearing the gran turismo 3 music in the background knowing that that game was my childhood
I saw the title and thought to myself "oh no, this is gonna be some BS about tinted windows and straight-piping" but i was pleasantly surprised that you definitely know what you're talking about. Good stuff have a good day bro
Also if you hear a slight whistling sound when you stand near the exhaust of what is supposed to be a “naturally aspirated” car ☠️
The little claw marks by the headlights.. timbers??? Shivered bro.
I agreed with most of this list but nowadays people build their car for different reasons. I’ve seen some nice looking cars that are completely stock in the engine bay and I appreciate that. Building a car is a form of art and there is no right or wrong way imo
I like how you showed the 350z for the low sound because I aspire to make a silent but deadly Z out of my Z and its already pretty quiet, but I wanna make it quieter than a f22 before a flyover
oh yea drag radials are super intimidating, especially in the rain
Dude, you nailed right out the box! The first thing a real car person will always look at when sizing up a car’s potential is the back tires. Nice list!
gotta love how the cop car at 6:29 has lights partialy blocking its hood scoop
Okay. I absolutely loved the paddle shifters entry hahaha It made me giggle and also think "yeah" because I've been looking into it a bit 😆
Also, another reason we put smaller slicks on the back is it can make the rear gear be lower, like how bigger back tires can make it higher
Ngl bladed, this is one of my favorite videos that you have made. keep up the good work.
4:55 that's a very small percentage of car people. not everyone mods their car for a goal of intimidation, most people just like to express themselves through their car and like the way certain things look, from big spoilers to those family stick figure stickers.
You should put a stage 2 or 3 cam up there with NOS and E85. I have a cammed 5th gen Camaro. People hear the idle lope and they describe the sound as intimidating.
2:57 You can literally slap this on any car and it would look better.
